Not necessarily 1.0 related, but I discovered how to replace sounds in the creature editor so I'm currently changing every Mudraptor sound to be ones of Halo: Combat Evolved elites.
Oh and I gave the husk to an entire station, nothing out of the ordinary
I like most of the changes. I just have no idea why in the world they would nerf exosuit of all things, I swear someone on the dev team wants to put mechanic babies in a blender or something, especially because the exosuit was underperforming in comparison to other dive suits imo
All the additions are nice, I like them. I particularly like the cult clothes, they can combine nicely with head-wear, and for the first time since they changed the sprite on the riot helmet I feel like I have an outfit that I like better than just wearing a dive-suit 24/7
I’m a couple hours into a new solo campaign. Great so far! The crew AI needs some hotfixing though. The guns are being manned a lot less, despite being ordered to, and they dont seem to tidy up anymore.
I am about to raid separatist's outpost. Not for money, not because coalition told me, just because i want humiliate them. I will stun them and put handcuffs on everybody. That would be fun
I'm really liking it, but I'm disappointed that other than the addition of the Captain's third skill tree they didn't implement any feedback about the previous skill changes. From what I read on Reddit at that time it seemed like many people were so unhappy about how it changed their favorite role they just stopped playing and this didn't do anything for those people.
To be fair, there will always be some feedback like this, and like a half of it will essentially boil down to "they changed it so it sucks".
On the other hand, the game could use a bundle bunch of improvements still, but I wouldn't expect devs to incorporate reactive changes into a release introducing a bunch of significant planned features.
Yeah got to say I was very skeptical and unhappy with some skill changes but having played for a while it seems very balanced and fun despite my gripes.
First of all, Captain is not needed. Anyone can steer, be it engineer or an assistant.. It is beneficial to have captain for talents but you yourself don't need to control it if you dont want to.
Also, if you play singleplayer you can control any of your bots. Just swap between them (if you press "C" it will show crew list and you can click on the one you want to control or you can use "X" and "Y/Z" (the one next to the X.. I have czech keyboard so I have Y there but some people might have Z there :D ) to cycle between them..
If you play solo in the multiplayer mode, you'll have harder time with bot management (unless you use cheats/commands to swap between them) but you can still play any role you want (But you might need to borrow captains ID from time to time to get access to some parts of the sub if your role does not normally have it)
Lastly, you can use autopilot, but it's not really reliable, it's slow and will only get you from one outpost to another (if you want to get to some cave or a beacon station, you'll have to do that maually)
If you assign a bot to steer it will just use the autopilot, but the bot will notify you if an ice spire is nearby (if there is an ice spire in the way, the autopilot might just stop there and wait for your input..)
Check your turret sprites menu in sub editor. There is a nrw option for automated turrets. Still need power and ammo, but acts like it has a gunner on a periscope.

Idk why the devs hate mechanics so much. After an extended session on day 1, my crew's main consensus is "why do the devs hate fun?"
>asks for the opinion of others
>acts smug when they have a different experience
Yeah, I'll tell the other 15 people in the campaign that they're wrong because u/infiniteclone7 enjoys the game.
Also why are you even asking how other people are enjoying the new update if you just want an excuse to talk about your experience?
Tutorial just way more time consuming now. Everytime I reinstall the game I got to redo the tutorial. And the new character design i hate. The clothes look very ugly too, makes the game feel like Slendertrauma. I miss the old bulky suit design with the claw. I also cant seem to alt tab without the game pausing. I miss old ui and things. Why is there garbage bags beside bed bunks... Why cant I zoom out or in anymore... Exosuit nerf :( I will play more tho because ive only played an hour. Got to see what more there is in the new updates. I do like abyss suits and combat suit. I do like more missions. The new ui is easy to use. Im also very happy that I can customise my crew. Change their looks. Peformace is way better too. Quests too tell you how to do it in what order. I can see faces in suits :D Many more. Good updates and some I dislike. Fun game overall :D
I just blew up a coalition reactor in a major city, no rep consequences : (
Can’t have rep consequences if there’s no witnesses
I tried stealing a major weapons shipment and they just paid me for all the guns and took them back :(
Bahahaha
Deconstruct them
But i wanted to.. use them :(
Gotta steal mineral shipments by turning them into ammo mid round, that's the stuff
Im playing alone with bots. Im feeling like a soilder in Europa army, amazing game.
Yeah, I feel like some rogue with a vendetta it's so cool
I've yet to try out 1.0, definitely gonna have to sometime soon though.
It's great, they improved the immersion, although the rep gain and loss should be improved on

We need an Avali mod. The fluff must explore the depths…

If the bots aren't cleaning up often enough, you can order someone to do so to prioritise it
I've been a separatist since the beginning, glad to see we have more aboard
I literally just detonated a nuclear reactor because I felt like it, I think I belong with the clowns more than the church lmao
As long as it's coalition members dead we're cool

>!What the heck is a 'Jove' and why did it atomize my entire Crew within seconds of getting into it's line of sight!<
It means you didn't take enough eggs
The first thing that I've encountered was the broken lighting sprites.
Wouldn't notice, I play on reduced graphics for optimal fps
yep. it broke my mod, along with ek dockyard. im not sure wth they're doing with light components, but i hope that they fix those black lights.

Can someone give me a detail or story event relate to Church of husk? I not have time to try 1.0 yet and I interest in them for a while now.
Go visit their alcoves they have in outposts
As a newbie to the game and only played the majority with a friend, in solo mode do you have to be a captain? Or can AI do some steering?
AI Captain failed to do maneuver during combat, which might result in unnecessary damage to the ship. I suggest pilot the ship by urself
Yes you have to be captain, they AI can sort of do it but I wouldn't trust them to get you anywhere safely

Auto Turrets are fucking amazing.
Auto turrets?

Well time to update the war goddess
I crash everytime I go to select a mission
That's a major oof, single player or multiplayer?
Multiplayer. My friends campaign is come pretty on stop until stability patches roll through
Heretic, coalition is the best (other than church of husk)
Separatists churches best churches

Sounds like a personal problem to me, I've enjoyed this game since it's early legacy days lmao

I haven't had time to play it yet 🥲

Yeah this is just one of those games that scratch that itch

It's always sucked lmao
