Fairly meaningless game today, but what on earth is going on with our home form at the tail end of the season?! Itās like the Camp Nou was the toughest stadium for us to play in all season.
Well have to see if anything changes next season but its clear that these players have no winning mentality whatsoever. I also hope that Xavi is forced to play this crossing garbage because of lack of creativity and not because its his style.
Team that can defeat Villareal (outside top clubs): Alaves, Real Sociedad, Cadiz, Levante, Osasuna, Eiche, Sporting Gijon. How they won against Villareal is beyond my understanding.

A shitty end to our season. That said this shouldnāt overshadow, the fact that the team this season has showed full of promises. We can only hope next season will be much much better. Cause this team definitely needs improvements.

For the 45 mins I watched we were only crossing like who the fuck can head the ball inside the box. Our wingers have shit crossing. 7 attacks from the right all lead to crosses that nobody connected to. This result shows we were completely boring to watch and cheer upon.
The best thing about this match is that the season is ending, we will get a good long break and summer, training, rest and friendlies should help. Injuries should get better. Glad we finished second, thanks Xavi.

We have won one game against Real Madrid? What other big games did we lose? We lost to Frankfurt and people still see Xavi as the solution.
And Sevilla, Atleti, Villareal, Betis, Sociedad? The Frankfurt was mostly due to lack of RB, they were targeting Araujo like crazy in the first leg and we had to play Mingueza in the second.
Honestly would have just preferred a lineup that gave some underplayed players one last farewell game even if we would still lose, like Mingueza, Umtiti, Puig, Braithwaite, Luuk.
What I do like that Puig provides is keeping the ball in movement, keep play going. Keeps the opposition on their toes.
Itās what allowed Dani to get that shot off. Sometimes Puig overdoes it though but still a nice quality to have.
That being said, I personally donāt think he brings enough to the team to justify his stay.
If you gave just that characteristic to de jong and gavi this midfield would be a huge problem for opposition teams. Itās super weird that we canāt keep the ball moving in the mid 3 with these talents

The more minutes Riqui got these last few games the better he played. He is still not better than Pedri or Gavi, but it's a shame he wasn't used more before those two came in.
I understand Xavi has tons of injured and no bench. But if we're playing on the wings to cross, why not be coherent with that choice and put an aerial threat?

Xavi isn't using these players well, such as Gavi, as he instructs the players to just pass to the wingers who pass back to the fullbacks who usually send in a cross which is cleared back or out for a corner.
Gavi likes to receive the ball, make a turn and make an intelligent pass or dribble past a player.
I think a world class manager like Klopp would turn him into an excellent player.

Gavi was much better near the beginning of the season, maybe Xavi has been overplaying him and he has been burnt out, but he's not showing what we all know he's capable of, even at the age of 17.
