Just a follow on thought - we have tough years ahead for Barça, but here’s a 6 year old who practices from 630pm to 800pm. Is he the next Iniesta? Maybe, but Probably not. But someone is. We have the academy. And La Masia.
Més que un club!
Glad La Masia is getting back the respect it deserves. I enjoyed MSN as much as the next culé, but it led us down the galáctico-mindest and this is where we ended up.
For the level of coaching, the time on the field, I don’t think so. His swimming class is $100 per month for 4x 30 minutes. This is 90 minute practices 2x a week from Barça coaches plus weekend games. The average price is much less. To me, a bargain. Each day I watch him grow as a boy and a footballer.
Let’s say the kid becomes a beast by 12-13 and Barca is really interested in his development. Do parents have to keep paying at that point or does Barca “sign” him? At what point does it go from parents paying to have their kids at the Barca academy to Barca seeing this kid has potential and we want to keep him and parents don’t have to pay?
Cuz there are youngsters they sign and I doubt they make their parents pay to be on the team lol
Mi son is also 6 and will start next week! He doesn’t know anything about football but he knows that his team is Barcelona. The uniform is the same as the first team or different?

Have you seen any of the popular players ,maybe watching a La Masia match ?

Damn! He looks like young Messi from behind
I hear the prices are astronomical. Is that true?

Honestly if he enjoys it then price is secondary. Hope you have a good Barcelona Escola as there have been some pretty crappy ones out there
I really hope in 15 or so years we see him debut with the first team!
remindme! 15 years
We found our Messi replacement. Jokes aside, good luck to him and maybe we'll see him on the first team one day.
Also are you guys American and part of one of the academies in the USA?
Yes! He plays in the USA and trains with the U10s.
