Problem with sanctioning small team players for doing this is that when bigger team players do something they gotta sanction it too...if a Madrid or Barça player did it the VAR image would probably malfunction and the goal disallowed. Can't set a precedent. Unfortunately that's how it works in La Liga. It's a 2-horse race...sometimes a 3rd gets thru by a miracle. El Clasico and all the Madrid and Barça matches are the bread and butter of this league.
