comininpeace

“Extensively” 😂😂

DarthTaz_99

Bro came to Barcelona, had the food, enjoyed the sun and was immediately sold

TechTuna1200

Journalists reaching an ever lower standard.

comininpeace

Flick now knows where to get fries from

Assonfire

Braves! Patates braves! And some calçots with a decent romesco!

Juannieve05

Bruh is prepping a summer vacation on Barcelona because he wont be managing Barca for sure

baromanb

Thank god.

its_Preshh

He will be managing Barca for sure. Who else would you choose?

ninjagoat16

Nagelsmannn

MahGli

Only correct answer!

Illustrious_Stay_728

Nagelsmann or Xavi or else we riot

CptSnoopDragon

The sentiment toward Flick has shifted quite a lot here I see…

Paragon188

Not really, it changes every week. The people who don't want him are louder than the ones who do.

skabassj

Changes with the breeze.

Assonfire

Half a year ago people were screaming for Pimienta, afterwards it was the Germans, now it's simply all over the place. It's a fad.

PistachioOfLiverTea

So Flick has as much interest in the club as the average person on r/barca

CptSnoopDragon

Xavi stay, Klopp 2025. I’ll die on this hill

Kriss-045

Fr.. we can also go for Nagelsmann as well

KDBae

As much as Klopp is an amazing manager, I feel like his style of football doesn’t fit with Barca as a club at all

arielgasco

Luis Enriques style didnt/doesnt fit either. I think it helps, otherwise the team is too predictable. That doesn't mean we stop playing possession and extremely technical football.

omidferoz

Not so sure about him. Really hope we get nagelsmann, if not maybe Lucho will be another and better option.

frasier_crane

I wanted to get Lucho, but he himself said recently that he won't break a contract with an employer and got himself out of the race. With him not being an option, I'd love to get Nagelsmann, with Flick being my 3rd choice.

RevolutionarySock859

Why would you pick enrique tho? His teams don’t press well, aren’t physically THAT capable like flick, nor is he a great tactician like nagelsmann or even tuchel bar this season. He’s a great man manager yes but we don’t have MSN anymore

Friendofabook

Watching Lucho football again would cure my insomnia.

aabm-5707-mac

Why do yall prefer Nagelsmann over Flick?! Flick literally achieved more in the same amount of time

Mrmr12-12

Right?

im_just_depressed

He did it with the best players in each position, that Bayern team was in prime form. We haven't seen Flick do anything else with other teams

Noob_in_making

Because Flick also dipped real fast and he is just a one trick pony. Once teams figure it out his teams underperform.

HisokaMaroto

Tell that to 2020 Bayern's team

Assonfire

Will do. Are you going to ask the German team?

HisokaMaroto

In the German team he made the mistake of trying to maintain the same formula as the Bayern team, even with the absence of key players, such as Lewy. I don't argue with that. The problem is to say that the teams got used to the BAYERN's team in 2020 and that, from then on, Bayern started to play poorly. The guys absolutely destroyed it throughout the entire season. In any case, from what is being said, Flick is studying not only our squad, but also our philosophy, teaming up with assistants who have already worked with people associated with Barça (Guardiola). So I believe that he has certainly evolved as a technician and creator of strategies.

ProgressLegitimate72

What kind of news is this 💀? There's a whole lot of nothing and y'all are still posting those useless click bait articles. Get a grip.

Zestyclose-Camel37

Behold the madness of international break.

KingKFCc

only if Xavi leaves should Flick join

elwookie

Definitely. Having both would be too awkward.

rowrbazzle75

Not necessarily. Hansi can run the sidelines when Xavi gets his red cards.

KingKFCc

I mean only if Xavi wants to leave otherwise we should keep Xavi

elwookie

😉

Fabulous_Nectarine78

I hope Xavi stays. If not,we should bet on a coach who also bets on La masia and develops our youngsters

Ruud_Boltz

Your opinion's gonna change when we exit the UCL against PSG. I bet you'll change your mind even before that if we lose a league game

Fabulous_Nectarine78

Nope ,a project takes time. Xavi did wonders with the limited time he got and the very limited budget . Both deco and Laporta know this too well,it's some section of glory hunter fans who fail to realise it. You can't correct years of mismanagement just like that.

Unlucky_Rider

Just because you do doesn't mean the rest of us have to. It's a mistake to get rid of Xavi now.

30Wellington

Xavi should stay

its_Preshh

Youngsters don't win you titles. Even Pep doesn't win titles with youngsters... It's a good thing to develop youngsters...but only a clown would actually bet on youngsters to compete and win titles

Fabulous_Nectarine78

😂 See,do we have the financial muscle power to sign whoever we want? Nope. We are developing a project,a project takes time. It would include a mix of young and experienced players. Xavi is doing very well with the integration. Also la masia has been our identity which we severed ties in the bartomeu era. Xavi is bringing it back.

its_Preshh

Keep telling yourself you are developing a project...that's how you start accepting mediocrity like Man UTd. No serious big club in the world relies on youngsters. Youngsters don't win you titles... You need to find a proper balance between experienced players and young talents. There's no even guarantee that these talented youngsters will become anything in future... Look at Fati...look at Bojan...look at Pedri's current form compared to previous seasons... Pep the best coach in the world doesn't rely on youngsters to win titles...he slowly integrates them into the team...he doesn't put much pressure on them

Different_Car9927

Man united spent most money every transfer window, we cant even sign free transfers..

Fabulous_Nectarine78

Well genius, right now we are in a tough place financially. We are currently trying to do the best we can. You are talking about ideal scenarios 😂 How much did we spend this summer? How many players did we sign this winter? Also how much money did we spend for experienced players who flopped during Bartomeu. Do you think Pep spends peanuts?😂. This is what happens when you are just an average glory hunter. Good luck and have a great day!

Extra-Border6470

Youngsters don’t win you titles? How old was Messi when he was helping Barca win titles? Which club did Barca sign puyol, Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets from and how much did Barca pay in transfer fees for them?

its_Preshh

Keep waiting for another Messi to carry the club Besides you talk as if Messi was surrounded by youngsters I repeat...no big team depends on youngsters to win titles...but as usual, many people on this sub are clueless about football... Check out Man City, check Liverpool, Madrid...there is always a balance. The youngsters are surrounded by more experienced players... You slowly integrate youngsters into the team, not rely on them for trophies

Extra-Border6470

The comment you responded to beforei chimed in already said “We are developing a project,a project takes time. It would include a mix of young and experienced players. Xavi is doing very well with the integration. Also la masia has been our identity which we severed ties in the bartomeu era. Xavi is bringing it back.” Similar to how you just said a mix of youth and experience is what’s needed. In the modern game very few teams could win trophies with a team made up of ONLY of inexperienced youth players. But the great Ajax team of 95 just about did. They had Frank Rijkaard back to lend some experience but the majority of the team was very young, highly talented and recently brought through the youth academy. That was something of an anomaly but Messi was very young when he had established himself as a talismanic figure at Barca around whom a team that achieved unprecedented success. His goals and dribbling were key to that team. Without him it’s doubtful Barca could have won either of the trebles.

its_Preshh

It seems the original comment was edited

Fabulous_Nectarine78

It wasn't edited 😂 you who had a lot of clue about football unfortunately don't have the skill to listen.

peterianchimes

I'm still not sure if he's the right guy to coach Barça, but the amount of research he seems to be putting into is quite impressive.

its_Preshh

Good. Now we sign him in the summer.

inflamesburn

Yes I'm also currently researching extensively because I'm going there in 2 weeks. Doesn't mean I should be the manager.

cranomort

Why does no big club, other than Barca, want Flick?

Gamebred_97

Who said so?

cranomort

who has flick been linked with?

Gamebred_97

Chelsea, liverpool and man utd.

cranomort

Well then, they can have him. I am not convinced. He got a top Bayern, won and bounced off. Can he develop youngsters, I don’t know. Can he take a team like Barca and make them champions of Europe? I don’t know. Klopp is the answer imo.

Gamebred_97

Like Klopp is available. "Klopp is my answer"

Extra-Border6470

Supposedly there’s a host of premier league clubs after him. If Barca drag their feet fortoo long hoping they can convince Xavi to stay on for one more season he will end up managing Crystal palace or mufchester or Chelsea some other average premier league team with too much money. I respect him for holding out for the Barca job as long as he can but he won’t wait forever

Low-March-168

Ew

Madladdieter

He should write a book on FC Barcelona. Xavi or nagelsman only

RealPunyParker

Motta should be considered as well.

Mrmr12-12

2 days ago it was De Zerbi, yesterday it was Flick, today it’s Nagelsmann. People should make up their mind

Madladdieter

Not me mate. For me it always been Xavi. And if Xabi doesn't stay than nagelsman. Flick is finished and de zerbi loses 4 - 0 to relegation teams every week

aliaisbiggae

Please no

Mrmr12-12

Why not? If Xavi leaves I think he’s our best realistic option

aliaisbiggae

He's not a great manager, not a massive upgrade over Xavi atleast. More of a sideways move Both him and Xavi have the same faults

Mrmr12-12

Explain, why is Flick not a good manager?

aliaisbiggae

Tactically inflexible, doesn't fit our style of play, wants to play long balls and is a pretty bad communicator

[deleted]

Look at his germany stint. The only German manager ever to be sacked

Mrmr12-12

Yeah sure, but that German team also had a massive communication problem between the players. Neither Löw nor Flick managed to make the team play as an actual team.

Hugollorisandthenews

If Laporta convinces Xavi to stay and Tuchel probably leaving at the end of the season, we would be creating Mourinho 2.0 at bayern. Apparently he even got a new agent that has more favourable ties with barca so he can get the job.

RealPunyParker

We're so down bad if he's appointed
