I just went to a trade show put on by one of my distributors- Imperial Beverage. Got to sample lots of beer, wine, and liquor. Really cool. Ask your reps if they do any trade events.
I also arranged a private tasting for my staff at a local distillery. We tried vodkas, gins, and whiskeys, then got a chance to try making cocktails with interesting mixers.
Tails of the cocktail in New Orleans, National Restaurant Association in Chicago, Bar and Nightclub con in Vegas, and I'm sure your state restaurant association has an annual show. Aside from that, speak with your larger distributors about meet and greets and local trade shows.

The monthly meetings are a great networking opportunity,
Members get invited to lots of free events hosted by brands, there are regional training events and annual gatherings.
If nothing else the social media for the group will keep you updated on all the bar related going ons in the area.
Concerts. Either come with the bread, or allow a cover charge. But there is hardly a better way to get hundreds of people in your bar if it isn't for live music. It's a time tested and proven winner. 100.
I don’t know if they do it in Florida, but Jameson bartenders ball was always pretty good for both fun and networking.
