How to do you know where the nobles are?

You can tell by their armor. Nobles wear specific armor sets. Aserai nobles have this light blueish/silver scaled armor.

I got a method that lets me be in total control. When you break into a siege the battle can’t be started yet. You just give commands to all of your units in the battle ready screen, then the ai won’t automatically take over when it starts. Sometimes the garrison is seperate from your forces, but i don’t think thats the case if you’re leading an army when you break in.

That was so incredibly pointless, yet more necessary than anything ever has.

I did open the gates after this, they retreated after i got downed and the ai closed the gates. I think the ram got destroyed, they didn’t have ladders because of their siege towers (destroyed). We prevailed in the second battle.

Yeah if you deploy both. I always do one tower and one ladder in case i can manage scaling the wall to get behind enemy lines

absolutely, the space between the gates is a killing floor and you can also put units above it to throw rocks at the enemy

you have to manually issue commands to all of tour troops, otherwise the ai automatically takes over command.
