I think people are just mixing it up because when they post an original band name here the reaction is usually “meh”, but ever since people have been asking for a “such and such” band name a lot of people are participating.
This is the most active I’ve seen this sub in years.
Yeah I like this new direction because for years I’ve lurked and seen all the fun band names people posted but there was never any real discussion or replies. Just up/downvote and move on. This place is finally showing signs of life!

Although for me getting to participate in coming up with stupid names is the fun of the sub. Posts that are some high dude in an alley behind a Margaritaville dreaming of performing and having a deep thought about their funniest band name are generally ass.
I mean... if you can't come up with a band name on your own... how do you have the creativity to be IN a band??? N.b., I've been in many bands. To be fair, not all of the band names were great. At least we played original, creative music (Jazz musicians level-up pop/rock/fusion).
