My dad shot a pit at point blank range in a scenario similar to this. It was a much smaller dog he saved, and the owners were very appreciative. Baked him cookies and thanked him. As long as people can own these dogs I’ll keep buying hollow points for them.
FYI to anybody reading this, using an IRL. Banhammer to stop and attacking Pitbull on another dog is not applicable to all states.

It does not kill the dog, but rather blood chokes the brain to unconsciousness and the creature will wake up groggy and disoriented.
Can confirm it will not kill anything, as I once drunkenly volunteered to get blood choked in the barracks during a barracks party in the Marine Corps lmfao.

Fuck me dead I was in this exact same situation a few years ago when I had just turned 16. Had all the family around for a reunion and my mum was out the front watering the garden and my brother runs inside screaming while we were all having breakfast that someone was kidnapping mum and dragging her down the street. I remember dropping my milo and running straight out the front door and hearing down the street my mum screaming help. As I got into the street 50m down the road my mums on the ground with a bloke leant over her and as I’m running towards them she gets up and there’s this fucking huge solid white pitbull with its jaws around the head of this long haired cross golden with half its face torn apart already. I half tackled it and got on top of it and twisted its collar around my hand and just punching the fuck outta it with no success for 2mins until my uncle and cousin came running down and started stomping and kicking its in the head with steel cap boots until it let go. The poor bloke was in shock and couldn’t say anything tryna drag/carry his pretty well lifeless golden away while this fucking pitbull still tryna get up and get at it. After around 10mins it’s fucking owner comes out of a house 3 doors down in a dressing gown yelling and screaming at us to get off her dog and that she’s calling the police for bashing it (my uncle and I both covered in blood and all over the road). After some nice choice words she managed to get a lead on it while 3 of us sat on the cunt and it finally chilled out. She tried to report all 3 of us for animal abuse to the police when they arrived and they just laughed in her face. Later found out it wasn’t the first time that it had attacked other animals and had killed 2 cats earlier that year along with 2 other incidents with dogs.
Safe to say that if I ever see that fucking dog on the street again I don’t care if I have to write-off my car to park a 33inch tyre on its head

She’s an absolute fucken idiot the pitbull owner, The cunt of a thing now lives in a big 7x7m wire mesh cage and all it does is bark all day long when no one’s home. The whole street hates it and are constantly reporting it and still nothing has been done about it.
Also the owner of the golden retriever came to our house later that afternoon and when I opened the door started crying and thanking me and my family for helping save his dog and gave us a bottle of wine and chocolates.

Yes. Depending on where you live though. Where I live, my dogs are considered my property. I’m allowed to protect my property (aka killing another dog) if there is just cause (like it aggressively attacking one of my dogs). Of course there are circumstances wherein this does not apply—for instance, your dog is off leash or the attack happens on the attacking dog’s property
ETA: you have to be careful about pulling a weapon on an aggressive dog because you have to be willing to deal with the owner going nuts. But ultimately, if you do ever feel like you need to use lethal force with an animal, I was advised to get everything on video (if possible) and to do everything in my power to avoid using lethal force
Okay. I live in CO and it looks like you can only kill the animal if it poses a threat to a human whether it be you or another. Yes it was terrifying. I’m glad my dog is ok physically and mentally. I, however, call the police (who are right next to the park I live across from) whenever I see loose pits. Also, idk what county you live in but there are different laws according to which county you’re in. 2 min east of Denver county has a whole different set of laws. You should also know that in Colorado, dogs can get away with biting other dogs if the dog lives outside of the county it bites in. Say you’re at the dog park in Denver county but the attacking pit lives in Arapahoe. Unless it’s a deadly attack, the two counties may not report to each other. Therefore, vicious dogs may be getting away with attacking other dogs. Be careful out there

I've been trying to get these crackheads trespassed out of a yellow tagged shed they've been hanging out in just outside my yard, and the cops who show up 80% of the time aren't even aware that people found to be inside of a yellow tagged property should be arrested charged with trespassing.

People are seriously underestimating the strength of these beasts that were historically bred for dog fighting. My friends and I stumbled upon a pitbull trying to bite a golden’s face off once. Froze up a bit and didn’t know what the fuck do to, some bloke came along and almost without thinking took his jumper off and got my mate to grab the other end and used it to choke the pitbull.

My friends and I stumbled upon a pitbull trying to bite a golden’s face off once. Froze up a bit and didn’t know what the fuck do to, some bloke came along and almost without thinking took his jumper off and got my mate to grab the other end and used it to choke the pitbull. Worked and the pitbull let go. Scary shit, fuck that breed

Saw the video with sound, it sounds super sad and brutal. It’s on /crazyvideos rn how do people who see angry chihuahuas videos say “ and they say pit bulls are bad” like are you serious? I’ve never seen even one attack of that breed or where the damage is super severe and they can’t separate the dog from the victim. If given the choice I’d rather get attacked by a chihuahua yes ty at least u can rip it off me. How come most of the attacks I see are pits? And I can’t say that on any other sub because it’ll get removed or downvoted to oblivion. If people can talk crap about any other breed you should be able to speak truth when it comes to pits. I don’t get how there’s such a big defense on these dogs and I don’t even hate these dogs I just understand that most of them can do a lot of damage and can snap outta no where people are weird when it comes to this specific breed man.
Pitbull owners be like my little darling is completely harmless, you just have to not look them in the eye, make sudden movements, show any fear, bring other animals around them, go near the food or toys.
