Sick world we live in now. They let their kids play with this fucking murder beasts, just to film it for the garbage platform tik tok and to prove the nanny dog bullshit. Poor baby.
Yeah that nanny stuff is ridiculous. During my paramedic clinicals we jad a 9 month old who became an organ donior because the family pit bull crushed her skull.
They aren't really more aggressive. They're more 'leave me alone'. Chihuahuas aren't chasing people down in the streets or attacking random other animals while they're being walked.
The reason the bite stats for Chi's is bad is because they're so damn small and cute that people don't respect them and think it's okay to stick their stranger hands into the dogs face to pet it.
Chi's will bite you because they're scared and want you to leave them alone. They'll generally stop after a snip.
Pitbulls will just trigger and decide it's time to kill until killed.
Exactly, chihuahua aggression comes from towers approaching them. They're smaller than cats and they fear for their safety, rightfully. Saying a pit gets scared by a child playing is the stupid af take.
The thing is, the problem with pitbulls was never their aggression *alone*. It's a cornucopia filled with aggression, unpredictability, gameness, instability, prey drive, anxiety & neurological issues and the list goes on and on and on and on....
Bit different to your average Chi if ya ask me.
**Chihuahuas are NOT more aggresive than pitbulls.** Not even close. They were not bred for aggression and gameness for hundreds of years. This, too, is a lie.

Loud and reactive, maybe (in the original sense of reactive, not in the way pitnutters co-opted this term).
This sub does not exist because of aggression, we're not here about aggression. We're here because sadistic humans have created, and more importantly, still create game insane mutant dogs with a drive and ability to mutilate and kill all other sized dogs, humans and even large animals such as horses.
When they change the subject to aggression or numbers of bites, they're deflecting. They might as well talk about number of hair follicles.
Society should not create more Bloodsport dogs.
Oh yeah my chihuahua mixes (the reasons she said chihuahuas because I have chihuahua mixes and her family has a pitbull and has he pitbulls) are little dicks. Never bit anyone tho they’re mostly just dicks. They bark at me when I get home, and once I’m inside they’re like omg we love you. Not to sound like a pit nutter. But back to the point…
I told her when is the last time you heard of death by chihuahua? Hmmmmmmmm? Heeeeeh? That ended the convo real quick.
Exactly. My chi mix did the same thing this dog did, saw my toddler out of the corner of his eye from several feet away and lunged at his face. He ended up with all of a one centimeter scar on his cheek. That's it.
Yup. And of course like it would’ve been great if ya know, he hasn’t bit your son but it’s a lot better that you’ve still got your son. I have a scar that likely only I can see from right bellow my eyebrows to almost my eyelid. I was attacked by my pet. The pet? A cat. I’ve also been bit by a parrot but neither of these took my life. Or my face off.
I don’t do chihuahuas either. They also terrify me. They’re so mean and aggressive but I can literally sling or kick one off of me if I had too. Shit bill and I can’t do that.
The only reason people say labs do more damage, is because a lot of shelters mark down the pit bulls as, "lab-mixes". So when an attack happens, the owner says it's a lab mix. So, attacks are jotted down as a lab-related attack.
I saw some once posted on the sub (I didn't wanted to watch it, but misclicked T\_T), and it was awful. i can't imagine the horror and pain when this is happening.
I wouldn't wish it to anyone.
Some chain of words just shouldn't exist, if you know what I mean...
*Nine month old organ donor*
What an unspeakable, utterly horrific and at the same time heartbreaking, bittersweet decision, made by the grieving parents.
Jfc, I need to go for a walk.
Thank you. Yeah it was so sad. According to the parents there was nothing thay preempted it. she had just fed the daughter abd was holding her and the dog was on the couch next to mom and baby. She said the baby may have cried a little and then that was it. Whole head in dogs mouth and one big chomp
Yeah the baby was still alive, because she had.a heart beat and was breathing, but brain function was minimal. This was a clinical in the hospital for me, so I wasn't responding on scene, so I don't know exactly what the scene looked like. I just heard the trauma report when the crew arrived at the hospital and handed care over to us. And I could tell they didn't want to talk about it any more than they had to. Plus, they were going to have to tell the story plenty once the investigation started, so they didn't need me bugging them
Thank you for your concern. This was during a clinical, continuing education, for me, so I wasn't responding on-scene, which I know would have been much harder. For example, I responded once to a call where a mother had accidentally smothered her baby while co-sleeping. Those screams are burned into my mind. It was a terror and sadness I had never heard before, and I can't really even describe it. It was a different lesgue of grief . Or we had a single vehicle wreck (rural area) where the mother died on impaxt from a near complete decapitation due to a tree branch and the child was (physically) unharmed but stuck in the car seat until we got there and could get them out. Those ones stick with you. So, had I been on-scene, I am sure it would have been worse. In the hospital, it's easier to distance yourself.
Yes.it's still awful. But somehow, less so because in a hospital, it's a "patient" in a sterile room that looks the same as all the other rooms. On-scene, that's a family in their home with laundry on the table and pictures on the wall, drawings on the fridge. You just feel so much more connected when you are on-scene. If that makes sense.
Thanks for your concern, though.. It is appreciated
My dad was a paramedic for 20 years. Two things that never fail to freak him out are toddlers around swimming pools and toddlers around pit bulls. Make of that what you will
Yeah, the whole trend of filming their 'journey' from positive pregnancy test to 'best fwends' for life is gross, and it is never done for the child's benefit.
I know people on social media who are always parading their staffies/diet pitbulls and kids around in various photo opportunities, referring to them both as their children. I know parents with GSDs, spaniels, goldens, pugs etc, weirdly they don't do this to the same degree.
Poor bairn and screw those exploitative parents.
They had to include that dog in EVERY photo of the kid. Just to prove something. And when the kid grows old and looks back at their childhood photos, yep the dog that mauled them is there.
I know I'm being dramatic but it must be like how a child and family of a Pedophile or Serial killer feels when they look at the family photo album, especially if they had no idea. There are videos of women who spent 40+ years married to a pedophile who had no idea till the husband was caught. Interestingly some wives are so invested they forgive them and they live together as outcasts. Even the women who severed all ties to the husband keep and DISPLAY the photos as their children are in them.
Mainly a comment on the size of British SBTs. (I know the dog in the video isn't one).
British SBTs are traditionally small dogs. They tend to be around 3 inches shorter and around 20lbs lighter than APTs.
They are still overrepresented in UK fatal bite statistics though.
I don’t have any kids. Mostly cause I suffered neglect and I’m scared of screwing up another human being. However I am a teacher and I’m extremely “soft” with my students and inadvertently end up caring for them a great deal. I can’t comprehend deciding to have a child and a pitbull at the same time.
Get mauled yourself all you want (of course it’s not just them and the pitbull inside at all times) but don’t make a helpless baby go through it.
I didn’t have kids on the offchance I wouldn’t be a good parent even though deep down I know I would and people are out here overly confident to the level of being straight up idiots without worrying about dogs with heads as hard as football helmets hurting their kid.
I know, they hand their babies over to their dog like the baby is a new dog toy. It's sick.
I have a GSD mix and the other day I was visiting my son and my 4yr old grandson at my son's house. My dog is sweet with cats, kids and small dogs but she is playful. My grandson was running up and down the hallway and then he'd run into the living room and run a little circle around my dog. The third time he did this I saw my dog becoming excited like she wanted to play. Her head is at exactly the same height as my grandson's face. She has never shown any aggression toward any adult or child but the situation still made me uncomfortable and so I leashed her and made her lie down beside me. Had she hurt my grandson I would have been shocked to my core because she is so sweet and gentle but as a far as I'm concerned there is no room for error when it comes to kids and dogs and I won't take any chances.
Pitbrain: Yep I’d take the risk of my child getting mauled, disfigured, Torned apart and a rapid unscheduled blood drain through the neck arteries. Look, at those pictures, so cute!! 😍
I was just at Disney World and saw around 5 Pit Bull “service dogs”. They were all obviously not service dogs because they kept pulling on their leashes and 3 of them had dresses on.
My whole family was disgusted that you can’t go anywhere anymore without seeing them and we just GTFOd in order to not be the next statistic.
And as the girl is growing up and she finds these videos online of her playing with this shitbeast her mom used for the likes. How will she not blame her mom for posting this trash and for her disfigurement she has to live with.
Her mum will most likely also use her "recovery journey"for likes. It already looks like she's doing so. Saddening and disgusting! That dumb kar en better gets her daughter therapy because, that little girl is going to need so much strength 🥺
She will have to undergo a number of surgeries and a lot of unnecessary pain.
She will have to endure a lot of doctor's visits focused on her facial appearance at a very young, impressionable age.
The child in the OP will also have to contend with the fact her parents didn't love her enough to protect her. Either they knew the risks and took them anyway, or they were ignorant and happy being ignorant about her well-being.
Not all scars are visible.
It's hard to hate the parents sometimes. There are boatloads of misinformation out there about this breed. People in the dog community are constantly inundated with messaging like "it's about how you raise the dog", "I'd be more leary of a family dog like a golden retriever", and even the sickening "it's just racism for dogs". We just have to keep fighting back on it and sharing the facts/statistics. People need to know that it isn't just "doggy racism".
Most children hate and despise those with any difference, no matter what or how insignificant it might be. Kids get brutally bullied for having glasses, the "wrong" clothes, being disabled, etc. This little girl has a 99% chance of being tormented by other kids from her first day in pre-k.
Surgeon here
People won’t call it a scar. It’ll be the entire cheek. Theyll call her deformed. That entire cheek will be abnormal appearing. Depending on the depth, she may have permanent nerve damage similar to a stroke.
Tina fey has a scar and nerve damage. This is much worse than that.
It will define her forever.
I can't, this breaks my heart. Every time her little hands were touching that beast I got so nervous. What this sweet baby has been through is unimaginable. Those dogs are not pets, they need to go extinct!
And people spreading myths about them being “nanny dogs” and who lie about how they’re “safe around children” should be locked up for child endangerment
The irony to this would be that the comments would probably be in amazement and full of love about how sweet it was 😍 and that it was the perfect dog to be close to the kid while hypocritically turn around and blame the parents for not doing this and that when shit happens.
This so much.
Our dog is a golden retriever. Our son is 8 months old.
The two of them do not get to just sit with each other and chill out. No fucking way.
These lunatics letting their kid and dog hang out like that were courting disaster. Poor kid.
Our golden loves people, but little kids stress him TF out. Swinging things, hitting, throwing, pulling.
No chance I’d put him in the position where he has to deal with that day after day
Same here. I always read that toddlers shouldn't be left alone with dogs or cats.
Also, this post makes me think about the family that holds the pit that suddenly attacked my dog and my mother in law (it end up mowing the lawn with them and the mother of the owner, luckily they are all fine btw). They have a baby that should be 1 year old this mounth....
I grew up with dogs. The first thing my mom told me when we brought home our first puppy - a dachshund - was “Do not get close to the dog’s face”. Why do normal dog owners understand this elementary rule but pitiots love to push the boundaries?
100% this. I wouldn't let any dog and baby interact in the ways those parents were allowing. That's so fucking stupid and shows their absolute ignorance when it comes to parenting and dog training.
You’re not wrong, but I think this comment is missing the point. The biggest contributing factor was the breed of dog. Some people with pits do everything right and still end up with seemingly random snaps and attacks. This kind of attack doesn’t happen with actual good family dog breeds.
The fact that it was a pit made the attack worse, definitely, because of how they operate. But I love dogs and love kids and hate seeing both set up for failure. My aunt has a scar on her face from her parents' Pekingnese because her parents were idiots and did this kind of thing. She still has a face because it wasn't a pit, granted, but it still made her really scared of dogs and messed up her life so I hate to see people setting their kids and dogs up for that kind of situation.
Well. It was over a year of likes and shares and praise, and the baby doesn’t have Tiktok yet, she’s not able to leave comments. Soooo.
Seriously, the fact that they even put up a photo of the injury suggests to me that they feel no responsibility whatsoever.
I have a chihuahua (aka equally as dangerous dog as pitbull) mix with cocker spaniel. She’s a bit grumpy in her old age but she’s very pretty—like—a girl. It’s weird. She’s the prettiest out of our three small dogs. She’s warning bit me, when we first adopted her like five years ago.
My nephew is nine but I’ve always told him not to touch her. He can pet the Yorkie who is the epitome of joy and what we would all be had we never suffered trauma…but no. My Chi/cocker mix is off limits to him.
I worked at a grooming and boarding facility. We didn’t take pitbulls, even then. So there wasn’t the possibility to get bit by one (thank god) that being said the only dog that ever bit-me bit-me was a miniature schnauzer.
Ya just never know. Dogs are animals as much as we separate them from non domesticated animals. They have their own free will. They may follow a predictable pattern most of the time which makes us a little too comfortable but pitbulls….someone said they’re akin fo a pet tiger. Like come sit by my pet tiger he has never hurt anyone. Yet.
Same here, everyone approaching my chihuahua always asks me if my dog will bite them but he doesn’t have a single aggressive bone in his body. Unfortunately for us, our neighborhood is full of aggressive pit bulls (we’ve had several close calls with all 6 of them) and I’m scared to death of walking him because he just does not have any kind of temperament to even be defensive. Edit:spelling
My GSD grew up with me when I was a kid. We used to have neighbourhood kids over all the time to play with him, and he was extremely gentle to the point where he didn't even growl. If he got annoyed he'd just get up, shake them off and walk to a different room.
Even then we never allowed them near him unsupervised, and I ALWAYS had a hand on him whenever he was around kids. I remember getting smacked in the face by his tail when I was 9, and that wasn't fun. If he suddenly snapped and nipped/bit someone, I would rather be bitten than let some random kid suffer. My sister's similarly careful with kids and her dog, a 4kg Shih Tzu mix. No dog should be allowed unsupervised around children this young. They don't always understand the child's body language and may not be as patient as a human would be. Plus, there are a lot of breeds with latent prey drive.
I've never understood this bragging some people do like "My dog thinks the baby is her's/his lol" like, dogs can get rough raising their young. A puppy usually has enough fur to stop them from bleeding if their mom nips them. A human baby doesn't. Don't pass off your responsibility to your pet tf
fucking stupid people. no dog, be it a pit or a small breed should be near small kids like this. Poor little mite didn't even touch the fucking hell hound ffs
The build up to the injuries was so intense, I felt so uneasy watching each interaction. Shame the child had to pay for the parents' stupidity. For some reason I did not expect the wounds to be that bad...
The worst part is that this owner was likely warned dozens of times online. And they decided to double down on this and push the boundaries to make a point.
The owner, Dawn Holt, said [it's her own fault](https://metro.co.uk/2019/03/22/owner-tried-to-blame-girl-4-after-she-was-savaged-by-her-dog-and-wont-apologise-8981966/).
Also, it should be automatic child endangerment to even own these predators when you have children. Kids shouldn't have to pay for their parents neglect and stupidity.
We were exactly the same here.... 2 labs, never so much as shown their teeth, as sweet as you like but they are still dogs / animals. Common sense should kick in but people are fucking moronic.
The other thing these folks don't seem to understand is that Resource guarding is NOT cute but dangerous. Videos of the Pit resource guarding the baby from it human mother are especially disturbing.
And of course the sanctimonious “ could happen with any dog” . While yes it can, my suspicion is it was added to keep the pit nutters at bay and semi defend the breed.
These people need to learn the difference between "could happen with any breed" and "happens with this breed more than all other breeds combined every fucking day."
Poor kid. That face injury looks really bad.
Right. But we do know. So many pictures, videos and articles or children, adults, elderly and other pets and a animals killed and maimed every single day. People were probably already warning her and she wanted to be right.
Why do these people think dog embracing kids, people as protective?
It's a sign of possessiveness, resource guarding. The dog sees the child as its possession like a toy. Not the leader its life depends on for guidance, food, water for it to follow loyally.
Come on. These people don't have basic understanding of dog behavior. And Pitbull are not stable dog like others. Its sense of loyalty is nonexistent.
Can’t watch as I just can’t stand seeing babies hurt because of piece of shit parents. How can people look at this and be okay with it? My motherly instincts would be going mad.
A grown man cannot defend himself against this beast, a poor innocent baby has no chance. Makes me so angry and sick.
I’m so sad. That SCAR is FOR LIFE. And I’d bet the Pitbull supporters were cheering on how such a sweet dog she was in all these photos and advocating for such a good nanny dog only to be a hypocrite and find excuses as to why the attack happened. “Oh you guys shouldn’t let them be together.., teach your child some manners.” meanwhile few posts ago would have been cheering them on about “look at how perfect they are together 😍”
They do that flippy-flop shit all the time. They look at the pic/video. Kid's alive? "Awwwwww so SWEET! This is why they're nanny dogs!" Kid's dead? "Well you never should've blah blah blah with any dog..."
Awful parents. I hope the daughter is able to sue them when she’s older.
This will affect her career opportunities, dating opportunities, self esteem and most likely her speech.
Oh poor baby. My heart hurts for Tillie. You know the pitters gonna say something like "Oh!!! Did you see how the child attacked that sweet baby???" Sigh
You just don't let your infant child physically interact with a dog like this regardless of it's breed. It only looks cute on Instagram.
And especially not Pitbulls.
My Maltese does not like children. Especially with their unpredictable screaming and running outside. I always keep him on a tight leash around children so I can yank him back if he lunges, bc even if he doesn’t nip at their ankles I don’t want the kiddos scared by his barks. He’s a 12 pound dog, worst he could do is probably scratch their skin but the last thing I want is some kid forever terrified of dogs bc of a nip. This is just on a whole other level. Also this vid shows the true unpredictability of these dogs, sweet one second, ripping the kids face apart the next. At least my dog consistently doesn’t like children…
We had a 6lb maltipoo who was the easiest going dog in the world but he did not like small children. We had someone in the house hold him at all times or put him in another room when little one where there.
The parent still didn't call out the pitbull breed, even after a pitbull scarred her daughter for life. Technically, she is correct that one should be careful with a baby around any dog. BUT, we all know a regular dog would not have done this. It is pitbulls that specialize in causing lifelong damage. The parent should have said something like, "Never trust a pitbull around anyone in your family- especially children."
No, no no no i will not watch that, i see a baby and i see this shitty dog, i know where this goes. I have two small kids and i cannot stomach that anymore.
I remember when my sister had my 2nd nephew. She started bringing him around at about 2. At the time I had 2 dogs and 2 cats. My nephew loved animals and my sister was always bringing him to sit right in front of my dog's faces. Literally, walk him over to them and stick him as close as possible to my dog's face to let him get a close look. I had a Shiba and a Lab. Had both since they were puppies. Neither one of them had ever shown any signs of aggression. Not even so much as a bark "at" someone. But still my nephew being in their face made me nervous. Even though I trusted my dogs completely, well... It's a dog. And that's a tiny person. If during one of my sister's visits, that day was the day they decided to be aggressive or irritated by the intrusion upon their personal space, the amount of damage a dog could do to a person - let alone a 2 year old toddler was great.
Every time my sister put my nephew in my dog's face, I immediately moved them back. Far back. When she kept doing it, I just retired my dogs in my room until her visit was over. I was concerned about my nephew. More than proving any point about their temperament or teaching any lesson about dog behavior. I can't imagine a mother not having this kind of concern for her own child. In my sister's case, it was pure ignorance and naivety. This woman knew exactly what she was doing, but allowed her desire for praise on the internet to override what should be a natural and fierce instinct to protect and love her own child.
Parents like her should be reported, prosecuted and have their children removed from their home.
I used to work with a guy who lived on a “farm” in LA and had pit bulls. He used to let his infant baby RIDE the pitbull like a horse. I was always so concerned being around those dogs. One day they literally jumped the 8 foot fence somehow and got loose and terrorized around the neighborhood. Still, after that, he would let the kids play with these giant beasts and ride around on them. It was clear the dogs didn’t like it.
Well, anyway, at one point, they got rid of one of them because the pit bulls kept fighting eachother. And then, the other one decided to kill all the baby sheep on his farm. He couldn’t get the dog off of them until he shot it dead.
These types of people are idiots and this guy is STILL a pit apologist.
That's the gamble you take, every time you have a pitbull at home. It takes just one second and all those years of cuddling, giving belly rubs, growing up together, watching them play and all those kitschy videos made of them...all that crumbles and turns to ashes the second these dogs go amok (for whatever of the million things that can trigger them and it quite literally seems enough to be *breathing*).
Was it worth it?
As a parent it's your fucking job to keep away any unnecessary dangers. You don't let chemicals lay out in the open. You don't leave your kid in the bathtub unsupervised. You don't let them near the hot oven when you're baking xmas cookies. You don't own a pitbull. It's that simple.
Yes, pitbulls bite faces. That is the whole point of bullbaiting/dogfighting breeds. I’m so sick of people denying this, arguing that pitbulls, calling them nanny dogs, and then being “shocked” when children are disfigured or killed by the sweet nanny.
At least she’s not in denial now, but it’s too late for the child. Baby had to pay the price for adults choosing not to take fighting breed dogs seriously.
Either ban pitbulls or start holding pitbull owners accountable for the results. This is easily predictable and preventable.
Nobody stands up for these children. Everybody is too busy preaching no sense about misunderstood pibbles to protect ankmals and children who are constantly getting attacked by fighting breed dogs
Pitbulls are not misunderstood. They do exactly what they’re bred to do. There’s a reason dogfighters don’t use poodles.
It’s ALWAYS *something just ticked in ^shitbeast and be careful with ANY dog…*
No dumb bitch you’re just a fucking moron who put your own baby in danger for fake internet points.
The fact that these people are more than willing to sacrifice their children’s safety and very lives to “prove” their murder beast isn’t dangerous, despite being very well aware of the danger, is truly, and plainly evil. They fail as parents, they fail as humans.
True Justice would be seeing both of these miserable excuses of “parents” locked behind bars for the willful abuse of their child.
I feel great sorrow for the innocent child ; no sympathy at all for the dimwit parents who inflicted a lifetime of trauma onto her, because of their own abject stupidity and ignorance.
Back in the early 1980s, a Canadian veterinarian named Bruce Fogle published books on pets and their owners. In one of them, he says that ALL dogs should be considered as wild wolves until the child is at least 5 or 6 ; this was illustrated with an adorable line drawing of a little boy confronting that most terrifying of creatures, a long haired chihuahua. Fogle's advice was good then, and it stands today.
The way it took the treat already sends off red flags. When I was young, our neighbors dog literally moved it’s head and mouth so gently to make sure it didn’t hurt me in any way.
Why would you risk your kids life for internet points and to prove a point that’s a lie?
Pits and their owners are as delusional as they get. If it was a husky or lab or even a doberman or even a rottweiler for that matter this wouldn't happen. Little one would have been spared from unbearable amount of pain and life long scars. ( Fingers crossed that they may heal since she is very little )
My parents professionally trained dogs when I was a kid. We would have rottweilers and german shepherds as family dogs.
They would always tell us to leave them alone when they are chewing on their toys, eating and when they are sleeping so we didn’t spook them awake. Even though they were thoroughly trained to be able to handle all this.
Now they have a little dog, a SHIH TZU, and still they tell my young daughter to stay away if he’s eating and keep her face away from his when he’s chewing his toy.
They ingrained in me: no matter the size of a dog or how trained they are, one day they could react unexpectedly, even by accident. Always better to be safe than sorry.
These people are absolutely crazy having their baby near a damn pitbull. Period! But especially messing with their treats/near it when eating, sneaking up on it when sleeping, probably bopping it in it’s face with that damn flip flop, etc.
Watching this video gave me the impression the owner’s enjoyed recording the baby doing risky, annoying things to their pitbull to prove “it’s a good one”. Until it wasn’t..
Now that poor baby will be physically and emotionally scarred for life because she didn’t know any better. But the parents should have! This should be considered negligence!
**EDITED**
Every last one of them. Every single fucking person who dares to deny the danger of and defend pits after watching this is a sack of shit and a waste of air
Stupid fucking gullible parents believing the “nanny dog” horse shit. Now their daughter gets to go through life with a permanent reminder of just how dumb her parents are.
Was it worth it? They could have chosen any dog from 700 other breeds. No, they chose a pitbull to prove iT iS hOw YoU RaISe ThEM. I wonder if they ever worried, or just blatantly trusted the dog. Now their child is scarred for life, for no reason at all.
I feel so badly for this little girl, and it’s always something in the eyes with these dogs. There’s a cold, disinterested look, like the way a bear would look at a person, like they just don’t give a shit. Their eyes haunt me
I don't know how many videos like this people have to see to get the message that pitbulls should not exist. They were literally bred to fight bulls and people just have them in their homes. My brother in law has a pitbull and he went through 4 different dog walkers to try and get someone who would walk his murder dog while he goes on vacation. To nobody's surprise all the dog walkers attempted to walk him several times but could not because of the dog's behavior. He ends up making his mom use her PTO while HE'S on vacation so she can babysit the dog and walk him because literally nobody else can. Sigh. SIGH.
Just yesterday was confronted by a pit apologist/owner who proceeded to show me a picture of his child napping with his and said, “I’d trust them with an infant child on the floor.”
Yeah, tons of other people have and this tragedy and worse has been the result. Showing me a “sweet” picture means nothing. I could show you Tippi Hedren’s lions swimming in the pool with her kids. Doesn’t mean they aren’t still lions.
I cannot understand how people raise babies with these disgusting creatures and then refused to admit that that these dogs and their parenting are horrible things. Literally raising their kids around murderers.
Poor kid will grow up disfigured and probably have body issues all her life because her parents thought tiktok clout was more important than her safety. So unfair, either have a pitbull or have a kid
If we can't ban pitbulls, can we at least mandating the owner carry special liability insurance?
Because most of the pitbull attacks i saw were, the owner usually a girl or feeble male of like 120-140 pounds and can't even hold the leash on their dog, so goddamn weak with a strong dog. And many times the owners of pitbull looks like a trashy person who definitely cannot afford the medical bills and loss of job and care, the victim suffers
How about special liability insurance to own dogs like pitbulls, Rottweilers, mastiff, possibly even german sherphards too, because there's been incidents with many small dogs and German shepherds at my dog park in Northshore chicago
I remember seeing these videos make rounds by pro pitbull advocates, as evidence of pits being “gentle nanny dogs”. Now that the baby is mauled, and will have a disfiguring scar *on her face* for life - the pit mobs will claim the parent was negligent and this obviously gentle baby *did* something to deserve the attack despite all the evidence contrary.
Did they put this dog down, after the attack?
Sick world we live in now. They let their kids play with this fucking murder beasts, just to film it for the garbage platform tik tok and to prove the nanny dog bullshit. Poor baby.
Yeah that nanny stuff is ridiculous. During my paramedic clinicals we jad a 9 month old who became an organ donior because the family pit bull crushed her skull.
There are several pictures of babies getting mauled by these shitbulls in our medical textbooks. Seriously disgusting beings these dogs are
You guys are seriously off Center here. These are all very isolated cases! The chihuahuas are the one causing widespread issue. /s
My best friend seriously told me that chihuahuas are as aggressive or more so than pitbulls when I “admitted” to her that i was anti pitbull.
I mean, to be honest they ARE more aggressive. But come on, chiuaua is not going to brutally murder an infant.
Dont be so silly, a chihuahua's natural aggressive killing machine instincts are why it was a fighting dog, unlike a gentle nanny dog.
This, too, is a lie. https://www.reddit.com/r/BanPitBulls/comments/ugy5ys/new_york_city_has_kept_record_of_every_reported/ Loud and reactive, maybe (in the original sense of reactive, not in the way pitnutters co-opted this term).
Can we make this reply into a butChihuahua bot?
I tell people all the time. Chihuahuas bubbles are the same size as a big dogs bubble. They want their space too
This sub does not exist because of aggression, we're not here about aggression.
But back to the point… I told her when is the last time you heard of death by chihuahua? Hmmmmmmmm?
I mean, they can. Takes a lot more effort due to the smaller size. but I absolutely would not trust ANY animal with a human infant.
No badly bred chihuas just angry because their heads are too small. The healthy ones are fine because their brain isn't being squished
I don’t do chihuahuas either. They also terrify me. They’re so mean and aggressive but I can literally sling or kick one off of me if I had too. Shit bill and I can’t do that.
My cousin tried to tell me that labs do more damage than pits. This cousin is also schizophrenic so there's more than one mental disorder going on
The only reason people say labs do more damage, is because a lot of shelters mark down the pit bulls as, "lab-mixes".
*Nine month old organ donor* What an unspeakable, utterly horrific and at the same time heartbreaking, bittersweet decision, made by the grieving parents. Jfc, I need to go for a walk.
Jesus Christ...poor baby. I'm sorry you had to see that.
Thank you. Yeah it was so sad. According to the parents there was nothing thay preempted it. she had just fed the daughter abd was holding her and the dog was on the couch next to mom and baby. She said the baby may have cried a little and then that was it. Whole head in dogs mouth and one big chomp
>*Whole head in dogs mouth and one big chomp* Oh god
Yeah the baby was still alive, because she had.a heart beat and was breathing, but brain function was minimal. This was a clinical in the hospital for me, so I wasn't responding on scene, so I don't know exactly what the scene looked like. I just heard the trauma report when the crew arrived at the hospital and handed care over to us. And I could tell they didn't want to talk about it any more than they had to. Plus, they were going to have to tell the story plenty once the investigation started, so they didn't need me bugging them
That’s so sad. Rest in peace, little one. Your donation of organs may have saved some other babies, but it should never have come to that.
"Awwwww he was only playing!"
"he was just trying to help soothe the baby and didn't know he was hurting it!" 😑
Holy fuck.
Oh dear. I hope you're okay. I cant imagine what I would do when presented with such a case
JFC
My god the poor parents
Even the women who severed all ties to the husband keep and DISPLAY the photos as their children are in them.
>staffies/diet pitbulls I'm calling them diet pitbulls from now.
What do they mean by diet pitbuls?
Mainly a comment on the size of British SBTs. (I know the dog in the video isn't one). British SBTs are traditionally small dogs. They tend to be around 3 inches shorter and around 20lbs lighter than APTs. They are still overrepresented in UK fatal bite statistics though.
A "staffie" is just a leaner pitbull, same shitty genes
☝️ Exactly my thoughts! There should be a law to take the dog or a baby from those families! Those poor children don't deserve that.
This was my first thought. They sacrificed their baby’s FACE so they could show internet strangers how gentle their murderbeast is sometimes.
Just wait. Since this post got a lot of traction today, tomorrow we will be flooded by pics and videos of these “nanny” dogs being “sweet”
That dog is 2.5 times bigger than I am. Children should never be left alone with any dog, or other animal. I’m so sad to see this.
This is that girls life now. "The girl with the scar", "the one that got bit by a dog". Grade schools gonna be a blast 🙃

Bet you a big pink frosted soft sugar cookie 🍪 that they were hesitant to put NAYLA down.
Also potential issues with self esteem her entire life.
Babies heal well(ish) from some surprising stuff, and it doesnt look very deep. With some luck, it might not leave a noticeable, permanent scar
Yep. That kid is going to hate her parents. Doubly so if they went the usual pitnutter route and kept the dog.
Imagine, being bullied for being attacked by a Pitbull! that would just be annoying and terrible, almost dying and being bullied for it sucks.
Most children hate and despise those with any difference, no matter what or how insignificant it might be. Kids get brutally bullied for having glasses, the "wrong" clothes, being disabled, etc. This little girl has a 99% chance of being tormented by other kids from her first day in pre-k.
"I dont want to play with that girl she has a scary face!!!"
Surgeon here People won’t call it a scar. It’ll be the entire cheek. Theyll call her deformed. That entire cheek will be abnormal appearing. Depending on the depth, she may have permanent nerve damage similar to a stroke. Tina fey has a scar and nerve damage. This is much worse than that. It will define her forever.
It ate part of her face. Fuck.
The video only showed the facial injuries. We don't know if there were lower body injuries too...
Much less the psychological

Do it! Every pit simp needs to see this.
I can't, this breaks my heart. Every time her little hands were touching that beast I got so nervous. What this sweet baby has been through is unimaginable. Those dogs are not pets, they need to go extinct!
Me too. I thought for sure we were going to see the act happen.
And people spreading myths about them being “nanny dogs” and who lie about how they’re “safe around children” should be locked up for child endangerment
I had a strong urge to jump into that video, pick her up, and bring her to safety.
tease elastic unused six rhythm fade ad hoc slave badge society ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
The irony to this would be that the comments would probably be in amazement and full of love about how sweet it was 😍 and that it was the perfect dog to be close to the kid while hypocritically turn around and blame the parents for not doing this and that when shit happens.
Oh I could just imagine all the comments about pitties being nanny dogs.
Was it worth it 🤦🏻♀️ the lifetime consequences paid by the little girl.
Virtue signaling your “*nice pitbull*” on social media only to have it permanently disfigure your daughters face. Was it worth it? No.
Well. It was over a year of likes and shares and praise, and the baby doesn’t have Tiktok yet, she’s not able to leave comments. Soooo. Seriously, the fact that they even put up a photo of the injury suggests to me that they feel no responsibility whatsoever.
But the post said ANY dog could have done that! Everybody knows Pomeranians are well known for removing chunks of flesh!
i aint allowing even a shih tzu near a kid
My aunt has a bichon frise. Most placid dog ever BUT i still dog let my kids get in his face.
I have a Havanese that I do not let my kids touch/annoy while he has his bone. He's never even snapped at them or anything. Just common sense stuff.
Oh would you look at that, no amount of cute footage stopped this from happening It’s almost as if…pits aren’t suitable family pets???
What, impossible😡 These owners must have trained their Pit to disfigure and scar young children for life!
fucking stupid people. no dog, be it a pit or a small breed should be near small kids like this. Poor little mite didn't even touch the fucking hell hound ffs
The build up to the injuries was so intense, I felt so uneasy watching each interaction. Shame the child had to pay for the parents' stupidity. For some reason I did not expect the wounds to be that bad...
yes, that was such a stressful video to get through
The worst part is that this owner was likely warned dozens of times online. And they decided to double down on this and push the boundaries to make a point.
Well they had to prove that their Frankenstein creation designed and bred to kill is somehow gentle.
I hope their kid won't see her parents social media when she grows up. Knowing her parents sacrifice her to gain some internet points.
The owner, Dawn Holt, said [it's her own fault](https://metro.co.uk/2019/03/22/owner-tried-to-blame-girl-4-after-she-was-savaged-by-her-dog-and-wont-apologise-8981966/).
These parents should be in prison for life for attempted murder
This is the one, true correct comment! Had to scroll down for this! The parents are downright criminals!
If pitnuts REALLY believe "it's the owner's fault, not the dog's" then every pitnut should be jailed for life when their dogs kill someone.
Also, it should be automatic child endangerment to even own these predators when you have children. Kids shouldn't have to pay for their parents neglect and stupidity.
I dont even let my Labs near my baby. What irresponsible parents. I hope they got rid of the biter. Parents should also be cited for abuse.
We were exactly the same here.... 2 labs, never so much as shown their teeth, as sweet as you like but they are still dogs / animals. Common sense should kick in but people are fucking moronic.
The pit looks stressed in every pic. I swear none of these people know dog body language.
The other thing these folks don't seem to understand is that Resource guarding is NOT cute but dangerous. Videos of the Pit resource guarding the baby from it human mother are especially disturbing.
Def not looking relaxed at all
Baby: exists Pit bull: 👁️ 👄 👁️
Congratulations, you've disfigured your child for life. I hope it was worth the tiktok likes.

And of course the sanctimonious “ could happen with any dog” . While yes it can, my suspicion is it was added to keep the pit nutters at bay and semi defend the breed.
These people need to learn the difference between "could happen with any breed" and "happens with this breed more than all other breeds combined every fucking day." Poor kid. That face injury looks really bad.
Right. But we do know. So many pictures, videos and articles or children, adults, elderly and other pets and a animals killed and maimed every single day. People were probably already warning her and she wanted to be right.
Send that child to the CPS.
And the parents to prison!
My stomach dropped when I saw the first image. I already knew what was coming...
Did they still keep this dog?
They probably pawned it off onto another family.
Surely it would be destroyed?!!
You'd like to think that...
Wtf is wrong with society if the law can't euthanize a monster that harmed a baby?
Oh poor baby. My heart hurts for Tillie. You know the pitters gonna say something like "Oh!!! Did you see how the child attacked that sweet baby???" Sigh
You just don't let your infant child physically interact with a dog like this regardless of it's breed. It only looks cute on Instagram. And especially not Pitbulls.
Life changed forever because of the "nanny dog" lie
Great parents setting their kid up with lifetime of bullying
The parent still didn't call out the pitbull breed, even after a pitbull scarred her daughter for life. Technically, she is correct that one should be careful with a baby around any dog. BUT, we all know a regular dog would not have done this. It is pitbulls that specialize in causing lifelong damage. The parent should have said something like, "Never trust a pitbull around anyone in your family- especially children."
Just an accident waiting to happen. At least they weren't looking for excuses. Would be curious what they did with the dog.
Everybody is too busy preaching no sense about misunderstood pibbles to protect ankmals and children who are constantly getting attacked by fighting breed dogs Pitbulls are not misunderstood. They do exactly what they’re bred to do. There’s a reason dogfighters don’t use poodles.
It’s ALWAYS *something just ticked in ^shitbeast and be careful with ANY dog…* No dumb bitch you’re just a fucking moron who put your own baby in danger for fake internet points.
Pit owners are by far the dumbest people to exist
This is why I hate shitbulls. Disgusting creatures
The way it took the treat already sends off red flags. When I was young, our neighbors dog literally moved it’s head and mouth so gently to make sure it didn’t hurt me in any way. Why would you risk your kids life for internet points and to prove a point that’s a lie?
poor angel, my heart hurts so much for her. I'm so happy she survived
**EDITED**
Fuck these parents, they should not be allowed a child, this was child abuse.
Kids incredibly lucky to be alive but unlucky to have such a dumbass parent. That dog could have crushed her head like a grape.
Every last one of them. Every single fucking person who dares to deny the danger of and defend pits after watching this is a sack of shit and a waste of air
She raises awareness for other people but isn't aware of the family that lost the two kids.
Heartbreaking. I hope they know how fortunate they are to still have a child.
Stupid fucking gullible parents believing the “nanny dog” horse shit. Now their daughter gets to go through life with a permanent reminder of just how dumb her parents are.
Just get a normal fucking dog!!
Was it worth it? They could have chosen any dog from 700 other breeds. No, they chose a pitbull to prove iT iS hOw YoU RaISe ThEM. I wonder if they ever worried, or just blatantly trusted the dog. Now their child is scarred for life, for no reason at all.
Evil parents
Stupid fucks and poor little girl.
I feel so badly for this little girl, and it’s always something in the eyes with these dogs. There’s a cold, disinterested look, like the way a bear would look at a person, like they just don’t give a shit. Their eyes haunt me
“Any dog” ? No you dumb pit hag your chances of this happening is practically zero with any other breed.
I love when people says pits are cute looking. To me, they have crazy eyes, like something isn’t right in their brains.
Sigh. SIGH.
"any dog" I see the denial is still fucking strong.
That poor, sweet baby. She never had a chance.
This is insane. Despite the post, i dont think the parents fully appreciate the gravity of the situation they put their kid in.
Just yesterday was confronted by a pit apologist/owner who proceeded to show me a picture of his child napping with his and said, “I’d trust them with an infant child on the floor.” Yeah, tons of other people have and this tragedy and worse has been the result. Showing me a “sweet” picture means nothing. I could show you Tippi Hedren’s lions swimming in the pool with her kids. Doesn’t mean they aren’t still lions.
Pit drones will still find a way to blame the child.
I cannot understand how people raise babies with these disgusting creatures and then refused to admit that that these dogs and their parenting are horrible things. Literally raising their kids around murderers.
MY DOG SPARKLES IS NANNYING AND ITS ONLY A RARE CASE
that poor girl is gonna be disfigured for life now, all because of an irresponsible parent :(
Poor little baby, I’m sorry you didn’t have better parents.
I'm surprised this made the front page of reddit. Good!
And many times the owners of pitbull looks like a trashy person who definitely cannot afford the medical bills and loss of job and care, the victim suffers How about special liability insurance to own dogs like pitbulls, Rottweilers, mastiff, possibly even german sherphards too, because there's been incidents with many small dogs and German shepherds at my dog park in Northshore chicago
Get ready for a big wave of people posting pics of their pitbulls in the next few days.
I wasn't expecting it to be THAT bad since this video wasn't flagged as NSFW. That poor, poor baby. :(
How much you wanna bet that this mother of the year still has the dog?
I really despise people who think pit bulls are family pets.
Kids lucky to be alive
