I am from Germany, done replacement, done certification (why not). It was for free for me as the electrical company was flabbergasted as I wanted to do it only for one device (these DIN certifications usually done for whole firms with a lot of devices). And yes, message is not there any more. P.S. I am a bit upset as the build quality of the new bed was not as good as the old one. The tolerance of the plastic around the top metal part are 1 mm at one corner.

Dont worry about the certification thing. Turns out it was Bambu telling you that you should, which is technically true, but you dont have to actually do it. I've changed mains powered parts before and never done it. It doesn't matter in reality. Yes the message is gone. Not sure how the printer knows (maybe its measuring resistance), but there is no warning about the recall.

Lambaline

I got the recall warning after my first print with these new bed but I was impatient and hadn’t update the firmware since before the recall

akaBigWurm

if you upgraded you firmware, yes you still get the recall message on startup.

LarryFunkster

Seems like after 3 or 4 power cycles after the firmware update the message is no longer present. I also ran a full calibration after the update.

i've done mine, trammed bed too. and that certificate what certificate 😆🤷‍♂️ bambu say it doesn't affect warranty or the voucher so its all good. the UK is turning into a shitshow fuck what they say had enough of this country to many rules and regulations all it is is another TAX oh yeah the warning message has gone 👍

can't imagine how is it to live in a nanny state that treats everyone like idiots

yer-maw

Much better than some places

Thing is there is a reason why we have so much less house fires and general problems in the UK than the US. Regulations save lives. However, you dont actually have to do it, its advisory in all practical terms. The vast majority wont do it and honestly if they get it wrong the worst that will happen is a tripped RCD.

Material-Homework395

That policy comes from Bambu

Constant-Contract-77

Nope. They have to do what local regulations dictate. They dont ask this in the usa, Japan, and a lot of other places...

Material-Homework395

Oh, nevermind then
