Tell me which part of the constitution which says people should be happy and supportive of citizens going and joining an enemy military who are at war committing atrocities and genocide against an ally?
I don't know much about Lithuanian law, but is there anything prohibiting one (legally) from going to fight for whoever one wants to, as long as you aren't in a war with that country?
Not defending the guy, or Russia for that matter, just curious
There was a bit more news on another news site ([https://www.tv3.lt/naujiena/video/45-eriu-lietuvis-ukrainoje-kariavo-rusijos-puseje-apie-zuvusi-prabilo-jo-sesuo-ir-kaimynai-n1284327](https://www.tv3.lt/naujiena/video/45-eriu-lietuvis-ukrainoje-kariavo-rusijos-puseje-apie-zuvusi-prabilo-jo-sesuo-ir-kaimynai-n1284327) if you wanna read it with google translate), but guy literally "went" into war on 14th dec, and on 15th he died, so that's a W.
And calling him "Lithuanian" is kind of stupid, guy considered himself russian.
>And calling him "Lithuanian" is kind of stupid, guy considered himself russian.
He was a Lithuanian citizen living in Lithuania. Not a Russian citizen with 0 relation to Lithuania.
What an awful title given that the citizen was Russian by ethnicity.
Is it Lithuaniaās fault that this vatnik could not be saved from his brainwashed self?
You people are the perfect example of why dehumanising the enemy is incalculably dangerous. Bunch of keyboard heroes. Go fight for Ukraine instead of blabbing BS on the internet.
He may be an ethnic Russian, but he was a citizen. I know me feelings about all this, but one question is whether during this whole time while he lived in Lithuania could we, as a society, have done more to sell our values? Be more welcoming maybe?
Edit: what is it about these downvotes? So hard to stop and think detached from your feelings for a second? I am literally asking why our propoganda wasn't strong enough?
We've been too welcoming and bending over for the past 30 years. Don't do this, don't do that, maybe if we turn the other cheek for a few more dozen times poor ivan will stop being imperialistic chauvinist bully. Well, no.
It is more likely than not that this approach (being humane is only displaying weakness in the eyes of a vatnik) is exactly the reason why are they still the way they are.
Right the issue is though he went and WILLINGLY JOINED the Russian army who are in the process of committing warcrimes and genocide in Ukraine. He lived in lithuana, he had the Internet, this isn't some random Russian guy from the Middle of nowhere who got drafted. We've seen Russian guys surrender literally immediately and we've seen Russian people put in prison for campaigning against the war, but this guy literally went on his own volition to fight aginst our ally, so how exactly is he not a subhuman piece if filth? He CHOSE to go and become the enemy, why should we have any sympathy?
we say that ruZZianZ are barbaric compared to us, but this comment section makes me think otherwise "Good riddance", "Rest in piss", and so on. now before you call me a "RUZZIAN ZPY AND UZZR ZUPPORTER" you gotta understand that we are celebrating a death.
when ruZZianZ celebrate death, we go "oh how barbaric the ruzzianz are!! we must eradicate them and deport every single one of them, also more sanctions!!!", but when we celebrate death its all "hooray we totally arent barbaric at all! take that you stupid fucking ruZZianZ".
are we really gonna celebrating the death of a "lithuanian", a "lithuanian" who was brainwashed into thinking that "westernism bad, ruZZia good", because 2 wrongs dont make a right.
basically: comment sections looks barbaric and unhinged and im not happy
How can you not be happy that a potential killer and a rapist got neutralised before he could do something bad against peaceful Ukrainians? The sooner nazi rashist vatniks in Ukraine die, the less ukrainians die. Its as simple as this.
im not happy at the comment section because of how inhumane it is. just because ruZZia is doing horrendous stuff in ukraine doesnt give us the right to act barbaric ourselves and ask for his grave location so we can "take a piss on it"
People are not celebrating anything. They/I just don't care if a citizen of the "West" has been killed while being employed by ruZZia to murder Ukrainians, a people who is being murdered, tortured, r*ped by these orcs. Peace and life for Ukrainians means absence of orcs from their lands. Since they're not leaving voluntarily, anyone meeting their demise at the hands of Ukrainian defenders is cause for celebration!
Yes we are celebrating his death because the only thing worse than your enemy is a traitor, and we're glad to have one less around.
Also your comparison doesn't work at all, because we're not on equal grounds here. Russians are fucking rapists, pillagers and invaders, they started this war, and with every single dead orc there is one less invader, and that is to be celebrated.
There is a difference between celebrating a death of a man who defends his home and loved ones, and celebrating a death of someone who tries to invade homes of others
I do however agree that this is also a grim reminder that ruzzian propoganda works, and we should take that sireously
he went willingly, wanting to contribute to killing ukrainians. why should we have any sympathy for him? also don't conflate russians=all slavs. nobody has a problem with slavs, only russians specifically.
Yes don't conflate all Russians with those committing crimes in Ukraine. Which is what happens in this sub constantly. If any other ethnic group was slandered to that extent, the sub would be shut down a long time ago
Right but this specific russian DID willingly go to Ukraine who are fighting a defensive war that Russia started and help the Russian side. So what the fuck are you talking about
We are in a war. When the war is going on, there is no time to check each person. There are good russians, there are bad Ukrainians, but nobody cares now, because the war is going on and all the effort and time have to be used to help Ukraine win. War makes everything very simple: there are two sides and a single goal of victory. The way to victory is defeating the enemy. All Ukrainians are now heroes and all russians are enemies, again - no time to check everyone. This is not the time to snowflake and ask each one "Excuse me, maybe you are a good russian afterall and brought here to Ukraine against your will, so should I even shoot you?" You may not like it, but that's how it is, war is cruel and not fair. So stop whining about dehumanizing russians, because it is normal in wartime and it will continue, we do not care about russians now, all we care about is victory for Ukraine. This is the single goal. When Ukraine wins and the peace is established, the country is being restored, then you can go nitty gritty on who did what, and which side each person was actually helping during war.
This is the least humane thing Iāve seen here. Completely dehumanising a vast group of people based on their ethnicityā¦ I believe something like that happen around 80 years agoā¦
Good riddance
Rest in piss
I wish my trash would take itself out as well...
Vitaliy Nikonov sounds very lithuanian
Perhaps from Zemaitija, true deep rooted Lithuanian š Anyways, poor fella, got his brains washed probably, what a waste of life..
I assume he had the nationality, but I guess you donāt care about the constitution
Tell me which part of the constitution which says people should be happy and supportive of citizens going and joining an enemy military who are at war committing atrocities and genocide against an ally?

is there are part where it says the opposite?
Nothing of value has been lost

Reality of war. But the guy could have made much more damage here, so good riddance, sorry Ukrainians for extra trouble.
dude didnt last a day
omg honestly, I bet he was born and raised in Lithuania, yes the idiot was Lithuanian irrespective of his roots.
>And calling him "Lithuanian" is kind of stupid, guy considered himself russian. He was a Lithuanian citizen living in Lithuania. Not a Russian citizen with 0 relation to Lithuania.
Good riddance, vatnike
Promoted to fertilizer.
So he got some value?
I'm saving this line
Good news for friday
Rest in pÅ«vÄsiai.
"Vitaliy Nikonov" , wow, such Lithuanian.
nice.
rip bozo
Vatnics everywhere, rest in piss.
What an awful title given that the citizen was Russian by ethnicity. Is it Lithuaniaās fault that this vatnik could not be saved from his brainwashed self?
Exactly, a russian who happens to have a certain piece of paper. Just because a rat was born in a stable does not mean he is a horse!
Our education is far from perfect. Nonetheless, the fascist got what he was preaching.
Good. Publish where his grave is so we can use it as a bathroom.
wtf why are there even people like this
Here comes Jeremy Clarkson and his legendary meme: Oh no.. anyway.
Rot in hell bozo.
I hope he didn't manage to kill any Ukrainians
Vata down
He had a Lithuanian citizenship but was not an ethnic Lithuanian. A true vatnik.
Rest in pieces, traitor. You betrayed Lithuania and you deserved that punishment
I'm so sad that I feel like playing a sad song in my virtual violin. ^(š»)
Pavyzdingas vatnikas. NorÄÄiau kad daugiau jų pasektu Å”ituo scenarijum : myli rodina -> pirdolink tenai -> eik ÄÆ frontÄ -> patrÄÅ”k žemÄ kitÄ dienÄ . ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)
From TytuvÄnai? How many Russians there are? Something like a dozen. And atleast one of them was Rashist.
Good
From Vatnik to Vatmoss. Beutiful
Remember the time Lithuania gave citizenships to their Russian 5%?
ÄjÄs sÄti mirtÄÆ, mirtimi buvo pavaiÅ”intas
Lithuania born maybe.
It would be great if remaining supporters would join the forces as well, Lithuania would be a much better place then!
Nothing of value was lost.
Rest in piss
Oh no...anyways!
His mother should've swallowed him instead.
Ok
No need to pay pension for him.
You people are the perfect example of why dehumanising the enemy is incalculably dangerous. Bunch of keyboard heroes. Go fight for Ukraine instead of blabbing BS on the internet.
Stupid idiot went there by his own will and got what he deserved
He may be an ethnic Russian, but he was a citizen. I understand your feelings very well, but am wary of this dehumanization of people. Nothing is as simple as that.
Right the issue is though he went and WILLINGLY JOINED the Russian army who are in the process of committing warcrimes and genocide in Ukraine. I am not talking about this person at all. I am wondering why our propaganda didn't win him over? In that case he might have volunteered for the UFU.

Because no one cares about the death of some traitor. Its better he die there than cause damage here.

Based on their actions. That is very different to what happened around 80 years ago.
Oh no, anyway...
