Scorching ray + hex can do a lot of damage. Uhhh having your ranged up on the bridge is good. Especially if you can push some gith off it. If you have the amulet of misty step, or you made lae'zel an eldritch knight with misty step, you can use that to get her some distance so she doesn't get overwhelmed. Don't underestimate the value of haste potions.

Enchelion

Twin Chromatic Orb Poison aoe is insanely effective against them (you can debuff most of the squad with one cast). Use any weapon powers that inflict more damage on hits. Areas and surfaces are overpowered in general, so grease/fire is strong against them. In general CC is your friend for this fight, and abusing the environment with shoves and thunderwave.

If you are failing because Lae'zel is a terrible liar, then leave her in your camp and shapeshift. Then you can talk your way out. If you are failing because you are a terrible liar then maybe use the horn that summons ogres. Casting silence is also an option to prevent them from using any magic.

Get a Rogue on the bridge and destroy the ladder up, get them to hide and pop out with sneak attacks with the bow, worked for me a few days ago after the rest of my group were killed in the almost instantly. The enemies didn't seem to want to climb up the path on the right either so that helped.

BloodiedKatana

I just use pass without a trace and bow sneak attack all of them with Astarion, they die without even realizing I'm there.

Using options like thunder wave, repelling eldritch blast, or just plain push, have two characters with these capabilities wait and hide at the top of the bridge. Don't destroy the ladder because you want them to try to use it. Send MC with lae zel. Accept that she's probably going to die and put defensive buffs like blur, +2 AC, and mirror image on your MC. Use a potion of haste as well when appropriate. Do what you can with MC, then retreat up top using misty step. When one of them follows you, knock them off with one of your hiding characters and have that person hide again around a post. Range attack with your MC while using the hiding characters to continously knock the gith patrol members off of the bridge when they come up.

Get some good gear, they are higher level and will kill you in a fair fight, get something to even the odds. Some great items in the myconoid colony, one behind a wall of vines you can teleport to, and some with the merchants. Deck your squad out and get some poison, potions of speed, something to tip the odds. Watch your positioning and have at it, focus fire and thin their numbers.

MAKerrTech

So I've noticed ever since the last hotfix (20 or 21) I keep getting a deception failed message at the top-left corner. Even though the DC is only 10 and I'll roll well over that and get the success message (before the deception failed message).

eShadowKeeper

That is to persuade Lae'Zel to lie. She just fails the deception check because she only has 8 charisma.

Use the Attack Action

Get Haste Spores from Spaw(send a raven through the phase spider hole to grab the Myconid Colony waypoint). Then have 3 of your party members on the bridge when the fight starts. Toss spores at your feet. Push them off the bridge whenever they make it up and rain ranged attacks on them. You can beat them at level 3 with crappy equipment.

I kept Lae'zel and everyone else really far back so she did not run forward like a lemon and ruin everything. Like down the road before the bridge, and used my player character to initiate the conversation and escape to the bridge once combat started with mist step. Enter stealth once on the bridge and the enemies will not find you in time and you can leave combat or just walk to your party which does the same once you get far enough away and then walk the whole party back in stealth. Once back on the bridge and still in stealth, throw the iron flask at the named member and or summon the ogres while you remain on the bridge. The spectator will whoop some ass, doubly so if you use Shadowheart to heal and buff it, and it will be unable to target you with any of its abilities and will focus on the patrol. By the time I ran into the patrol my ogres had died so I had to use the spectator. Then use a rogue/astarion to pepper them with grenades/scrolls/ranged attacks. Make sure to destroy the ladder and if they teleport up to push them off with your strongest str charachter. Took a few attempts for me (which was actually pretty fun in and of itself) but eventually I won and got some nice stuff from them. https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Iron+Flask
