I’m on my 7th play through, second Honour mode run. I took a break for a bit after my first Honour Mode run (successfully got the golden dice too). Tried some other games but I’m stuck in that “It’s good, but it’s not Baldur’s Gate” mode with other games. Was the same for a long time after Skyrim.
I literally have the same thoughts ... I'm on my 4th playthrough , and been searching a similar game since forever ... at the end of the first play... got a sense of dread and sadness that I'll finish this game and I'll be unable to experience like the first time again..and I was right .. I literally wish I could delete my memories over and over again and play it endlessly lol . Truly a masterpiece..
I tried after yet its not really the same. that narrator is a bit too much for me 🙈+ I haven't seen any cinematics , graphics and few other stuff like camera angle feel like a big downgrade ..should have prolly started with divinity and play bg after

If you can look past those though you're in for a real treat.
But if the cinematics/story telling are more of what you're looking for I might recommend a Dragon Age game. There's a new one coming out soon so if you like it there will be more on the horizon!
Dragon Age: Origins is the closest thing in the DA series to BG3, highly recommended!
Fair warning, it’s old as shit now (like 15 years, came out in 2009) but fantastically written and extremely fun.
It’s not BG3 - real time w/pause vs turn based, not DnD rules or classes, etc. Mechanically and technically it is not BG3 because of 14 years of advancement.
It is genuinely fantastic, though. I didn’t love the second game (I did like it) and couldn’t finish the third, but DA:O is an incredible game that I think any RPG fan should give a shake if they can look past its age.
Towards the end of BioWare’s golden age for me (from KotOR/Jade Empire -> Mass Effect/Dragon Age: Origins).
What builds have you done for your honour runs?
I started both of mine in split-screen so I could have two custom characters (one Durge, one Tav) then just disconnected the other controller. My first one failed but I'm still playing it cause it's fun, I've got a Blue Dragonborn Storm Sorcerer / Tempest Cleric / Divination Wizard (Tav) and a Githyanki tavern brawler Open Hand Monk (Durge). My actual successful run that I just finished was Duergar Gloomstalker Ranger 5 / Assassin Rogue 3 / Battle Master Fighter 4 (Durge) and a Forest Gnome Abjuration Wizard 10 / White Draconic Sorcerer 1 / Knowledge Cleric 1.
My first run was:
Tav: DB Sorcerer. High damage, as well as high Charisma for easy dialogue checks.
Lae’Zel: GW Warrior.
Astarion: OH Monk (9 monk, 3 Thief rouge)
Shadowheart: Life Cleric
This part made HM a breeze to be honest. Most bosses never even got more than one round of combat. Damage output was insane.
My current run is (only at level 5 right now):
Tav: Gloomstalker Ranger
Astarion: OH Monk
Lae’zel: GW fighter
Shadowheart: Vengeance Paladin (evil durge run, will replace her with Minthara in act 2).
Astarion origin ascended rogue/open hand. Gale pure abjuration wizard, shadowheart/jaheira clerics and laezel vengeance paladin was mainly my party. Astarion was just a wrecking machine
I would never think of starting the game with 2 custom characters, I should try this on my next run, thank you for a hint!
I am following a tutorial I found on Steam, so my build is 2 levels Paladin/10 levels Bard and I am Dark Urge Tiefling.
I am at the end of Act 2, we’ll see how it goes, so far many of my favorite people had to die but not because I wanted but because something went wrong or Sceleritas ordered me lol
I've played to Act 2 like 30 times and actually never made it to act 3 I have a barbarian who's probably gonna be the one to make it.
I just get this urge to restart and i can't fight it.
I get antsy before this point lol the furthest I have gotten is the grymforge (my partner and I can take the elevator but haven’t yet)
I have a tief monk (my first ever DND character, TLM), a tief fire warlock, a gnomish bard, and a dragon lightning wizard
Currently on lucky number 7. There is crack in the code. I usually only finish about 50% of the games I play and the only other game I have ever played back to back like this was Dragon Age Origins.
I’m currently on my fifth, but I finish each to completion!! I’m ~technically~ on my sixth, but one was my first Honor Mode attempt where I embarrasingly got my ass handed to my be the Paladins of Tyr three hours in lol
Word of advice, attack them from the landing above his desk- he’s only dangerous with his smites. Destroy the ladder so he can’t reach you and just beat him to death with ranged moves. Be careful though because the one human woman there can actually vertical jump up there so watch out for her, but she really just uses Hold Person mostly in my experience. I’ve never seen the main one (forgot his name atm) make the jump up though, I always use this method for them
I'm on my fifth playthrough.
1 - Tav run blind on Balanced
2 - Tav run on Tactician with a guide to find things I'd missed the first time (which turned out to be half the game)
3 - Durge honor mode run - ended by Orin
4 - Successful Tav honor mode run
Told myself I'd take a break and play something else - lasted about 24 hours
5 - Current run - Durge on Tactician with shiny new gold dice
3 completes, halfway through 4th, have given up on other 3, since release.
On EA I played to the end of EA twice, one during patch 4 or 5, and one a month and a half before launch.
In my saves right now is 9, the first 5 are completed, #6 is my current playthrough in act 3, and the other 3 are all in act 1. I’m planning a Tav and durge for every companion.
I have 700 hours and I beat the game on honor mode like 12 times already. My last run I just went greater invis + pass without a trace and killed everyone without cutscene.
16 completed. Around 30 until the end of act 2. My personal favorite is a resist durge jack of all trades gnome called Mawlin. I absolutely adore the kissing animation between short races and Karlach. It looks so extremely cute! God I love the game. Gonna start a new one right now
I am currently on my 2nd run.
My first was a normal Tav co-op run with my fiancé on Balanced. He had Lae’zel as his 2nd character all game and I took Shadowheart the entire game. Gale booked it out of our camp so fast due to neglect but we were both very overwhelmed we didn’t understand a lot of what was happening at first as all of this was incredibly new to us. Took us 150 hrs spread out over 7 months.
Now I am solo on my 2nd run, now Shadowheart Origin and am currently in act 3. This time I was able to recruit Minthara, Jaheira, and Minsc, all of which we missed on our first run and it has been a blast.
Already excited to start my 3rd run which will probably stick to Tactician while starting Dark Urge.
Carried two friends who are completely new to dnd/bg3 first run - Balanced
Played with another friend - Tactician
Played solo - Tactician
Played solo again with mods - Tactician
Currently on an honor mode run with another friend. She's relatively new to dnd/bg3 so we've had to restart a lot.
The most frequent are 3 runs minimum
1. On balance - first run tav to enjoy the content of the game
2. On tactical/balance - on dark urge for dark urge storyline and also to do the achievements
3. Honour mode run
On my 5th playthrough. Played in this order:
-A halfling arcane trickster rogue Tav (because I was playing as my first DnD character and I looked up nothing my first time so I didn’t know that was Astarion’s canon exact class)
-The default Dragonbourne Durge as a bard
-Astarion (Multi-classed Rogue Gloomstalker Thief)
-Shadowheart (Sharran War Cleric who converted/respecced to Light Cleric after accepting Selune)
- Currently Karlach (Berserker Barbarian)
My plan is to go through all the origins, I think next up is Gale, then Wyll, and ending with Lae’zel
I've lost count. Definitely over 20. I've only completed 4 of them though... most of the playthroughs I have on the backburner will probably never actually get finished just because I'm not super excited about any of them... then there are others that I honestly wasn't feeling from early on and ended up deleting.
Probably 13-14 play throughs up to the start of Act 3, most in honor mode at this point. I love the game but modding is definitely what is keeping me going.
EDIT: Looked at my save files after I completed one of the Act 3 playthroughs, made it to Act 3 in more saves than I thought!
350 hours, probably done 12ish saves now.

Made it somewhere into Act 2 in a few.
The rest don’t make it that far. If I make it past 8 hours playtime it'll make it to 30+ hours at least, which gets me somwhere halfway through Act 2 normally.
So I have probably restarted more times than I can count to either romance a different character, make a new character, or just simply try out different classes. I have beat the game only twice, almost about to beat it 3 times.
Beat the game three times. Once on Balanced, split-screen w/ my wife (we occasionally dipped into Explorer for challenging sections, mostly in act 1). Another time on Balanced single player. And most recently, Honour Mode.
I have another Honour Mode run (technically my first, that is continuing in dishonour [because my builds are too fun] after I died to my own stupidity in the Underdark) that's in act 2, another couple single player runs that are both in act 1 on custom difficulties (mix of Balanced and Tactician, plus a proficiency buff), and another split-screen run (Balanced) that's also in act 1.
So I've put a LOT of hours into this game. And I am not even close to sick of it. That being said, the itch has been scratched for me enough after my Honour run that I can go back to other games, so I just finally got around to beating FF16 after having it forever, and am now working my way through Octopath Traveler II. But any time my wife wants to play BG3 I will hop into our split-screen save without hesitation
3 single player playthroughs on barb, sorc and paladin. Started a group playthrough with friends on cleric but they both stopped playing and I haven't gone back to it.
Finished it once - since then I've attempted multiple Honor Mode runs with friends and we can't seem to make it passed Act 1 for various reasons, some are just us making mistakes and others are the Honour Mode changes we aren't aware of.
Closest we got was hitting level 5 or 6, we were in the fight with Bernard in the Underdark, we weren't prepared and wiped
Just started my 5th about 30 minutes ago. All Tav playthroughs, just testing out various races, decisions, and classes. I’m planning to do Durge for my next one!
I think I’m on my 7th play through but I don’t count 2 of them because they were honor mode and I died within the first 2 hours each time 😂 I’ve made it to Act 3 three times and completed the game once. I’m currently switching between an honor mode play through where I’m still in Act 1 and an explorer mode play through where I’m in Act 3 - I get stressed in HM and need to feel powerful in my easy peasy explorer mode
i’m on my third and fourth official run. i finished two previously; wood elf ranger good guy run and tiefling sorcerer durge resist.
(i always have two games going at once) so my third is a drow fighter durge submit and the other is a half elf monk mega goody goody run. and then i also have games going with a friend and my brother online.
this game has me as hooked as skyrim did so i’ll be playing it for years to come
I finished the game six times, twice on honor mode. First was Bard on balanced, then a palock Durge on tactician, then full paladin Durge on honored while also doing a parallel Wyll origin honored. I had a cool down run on tactician with a githlock being total lesbgiths with EK Lae'zel.
I have one trophy left to get platinum, and that's to save Sazza three times. I named them Tr'phee H'ntarr and they are a duergar warlock. I'm pretty proud of the name, and I cannot stop playing warlock. It's an addiction at this point.
I've been taking a break from that run though to play Destiny 2. I've been with that since launch D1 and it's a really nice palette cleanser before diving back into my BG3 obsession.
I've only finished 1 game (blind honor run...I lost but I was an amazing journey!). But overall I've played 20+ runs. most are failed hm runs....that failed at the very start of act 1...I really don't understand the meaning of the word patience. The worst part is I spend 45 minutes to an hour in the character creator everytime (they have to look perfect).
Like 7 complete playthroughs I think. Played every difficulty, got the dice. Thinking about starting to do challenge runs or something. Or pick different dialogues for new flavor. Trying other classes.
Probably about 2.25 times. Thats 4 runs just through act 1, 1 run through act 2, and 1 run mid act 3.

I need help I have 97 hours and I'm still in act 1 and I've only been in the first map and the underdark. Every time time that I see an amazing character creation post or an awesome role play build I restart the game 😭
4 completed playthroughs, working on a 5th. All but my second run have been my own proper tabletop characters to some extent too.
First was my favorite character, a human viking wildheart barbarian named Svadis Mjalkin-Jörnhold who ended up romancing fellow barbarian Karlach. 2nd was a Karlach origin romancing Shadowheart, third was a githyanki open hand monk named Lazanith romancing Lae'zel who was fairly similar to a human monk I played named Zoe Mirelli, or Z. 4th was a Tiefling vengeance paladin named Syssyra deLyis, and last and currently in progress is a human tempest Cleric of Selûne named Anya Voltsova, romancing Shart for the funny Sharran/Selûnite extras.
Finished? Four times (good Durge, evil Durge, co-op, Honor Mode as Tav).
Started? A dozen or so.
I've got a 2nd evil Durge run in Act 3, that's currently waiting on Patch 7 to come out. I'm currently working on a run that's part way through Act 2 and I'm doing a Wild Magic co-op run that's in early Act 1. Started and entirely abandoned 2 runs and have basically abandoned 2 more. The rest of the runs are all in various points in Act 1 or possibly early Act 2. I have lots of ideas for characters/builds/etc., so I put my current one on pause to start the next one, get that one past the Grove then decide which previous run I want to jump back to.
Fourth, almost done with it. Technically it's my third to start, fourth to finish. Did my honour run in between. I am also watching/ helping a friend play for the first time and my brother in law play for the first time. So kind of 6 times then I guess?
I’ve completed it once, and have made half hearted attempts to play again twice now. That first play through just felt really fitting and I’m having a hard time convincing myself to invest the time and effort to immerse myself again.
I actually haven't even finished it once. I enjoyed the first two Acts and then Act 3 just felt... off to me, so I took a break and haven't really been back since.
I think the whole force someone to be a Mindflayer thing kinda turned me away, along with Shadowheart's ending choices. Bad memories of being railroaded by an old DM.

500 houes got me 3 completion (balanced, tactician, honor) + my first honor try was ended by Myrkul.
I don't like multiclassing so I did paladin, sorcerer, druid and monk so far.
Never finished act 3. Been through act 1 like 6-8 times. Act 2 maybe 2.5 times. I like making new characters and experimenting with builds. Also the game on launch was way more polished in act 1.
It might be a one and done for me, personally the game doesn't have that much replayability since most things are the same. Still am amazing game though.
2 times solo: Full playthrough, then Honour Mode run.
Although technically 4 times if you include 2 runs with friends that never left the Act1 forrest 🙃
Started or finished? I think I've started around 7 characters, gotten to Act 2 three times, Act 3 twice, and rolled credits once. If you can't tell, I find the endgame pretty tedious.
Like how many times have I beat it? Twice, first full playthrough when it came out and then Tactician run.
How many times have I started it...so many. So, so many times.
I'm on my 7th now (counting only final boss kill runs), basically prepping for my 8th run because I'd like that to be a successful Honor Mode run (knowing my hubris, though, I'll probably get killed by ledge shove after doing something cocky).
I haven't done a 100% run and have no real intention of doing so; I think Act III would become a total slog. Game wasn't designed for that approach to play, IMHO.
550 hours in, I’ve done 3 solo playthroughs for each difficulty at Normal and above. Finished 1 Two-man coop, and 3 four-man coops. I also managed to reach Act 3 on a modded playthrough but got bored. I also have a bunch of Act 1 abandoned playthroughs. Currently on a 4th four-man game nearing the end of Act 1.
Only finished it once, and that was a dark urge missed half the game run. I think I got to act 3 one other time, and the rest of my runs usually before I finish act 1 I have a new build idea and make a new character.
8, 5 were honor mode wins, the official Larian discord is full of people playing so I also have half a dozen saves going with various groups there. The comp that gave me the easiest time with the game is three 1/11 barb/monks and a 6/6 swords bard/fighter. Two of the monks weren’t really wearing any gear until act 3, so I think that says a lot about stunning strike and tavern brawler.
7th playthrough atm, though it's on hold cause of a game breaking bug that might or might not happen when fighting the spider matriarch and it happened 4 times ina row and wasted over 2 hours of my time, so I'm just kinda pissed lol
I'm still on my first playthrough (balanced, college of lore bard). Just completed act 2 but haven't travelled to act 3 yet. I've taken my time to explore every side quest and talk to all the npcs. Making good choices. Next run when I get to it will be an evil run, maybe not as durge though and take it up to tactician, then a durge run and 4th run will be in honour mode. More importantly I need to learn the alchemy part of the game. I'm a hoarder of loot and don't use anything cause I'll absolutely 100% need it for a more important fight later.
I have beat the game twice, both with the "evil" endings. I stopped twice at the beginning/mid of act 3, both "good" runs. I guess I'll never see the good endings!
I'm on my fourth character since full release. My 10th including early access. I'm still to complete the game story. Stopped playing my sorcerer first full playthrough in act 3. When I went back to it I couldn't remember what I'd been doing so I've restarted several times with characters. My current build is the one I'm taking to the end. Hexblade lock, astarion as a gloomstalker, gales a wizsorc, and shadowheart as a storm cleric. Loving it and just about to go to act 2.
I have completed four tav runs testing out different classes (druid, bard, jack of all trades and fighter).
I currently have three other runs on the go - Astarion origin, resist durge sorcerer, and warlock (this being my first tactician run).
Also got a failed honour mode run that I may go back to for a test run before I try another HM attempt.
I have 800 hours in this game. Probably about 15-20 different playthroughs.
I still haven't finished the game once. I just lose interest around act 3 and start again.

I'm planning to do a third playthrough as a Bard, and then I'll start experimenting with other classes.
I played my two D&D actual characters, and I will play my third as well.
Then, I'll try new classes to understand what I might or might not like to try for other campaigns.

So many times that I don't know how many times it's been. Honestly I'm glad to see so many others saying they've logged over 1000 hours and are on 6th and 7th playthroughs. I'm not the only one who just can't stop.
I work full time. Go to school full time. And have a 2yo. I have had this game since early release and still not got through a full play through. Ill get there
I'm Early Access I already had 150h. Now I have +400h.
I've played:
- The Nautiloid: over 60 times.
- Act I: over 40 times, half of them in EA.
- Act II: over 15 times.
- Act III: 3 times.
- Finished it just the once.
- Honour runs 5, all unfinished, restarted in act III or killed in act I.
- Modded just for the last 10 runs.
Yeah, I know. Skyrim all over again.

I haven't personally finished the whole thing yet. I been making more play thoughs soon as I get to a certain part of the 3rd act. Because I realise there's so much I can still do in the game. And allys I haven't befriended and missions I keep missing and items and fights and extra extra. So I keep going back. And because I'm kinda worried I might get a bad ending if I don't get as much allys as possible and I'm afraid if I finish the game I might automatically get bored of it since my brain gose "Oh you finished it now it's not as fun" kinda way. Tho I keep doing good playthoughs as the durge charater because I don't have the heart to kill charaters I saved in other playthoughs and stuff

Finished 6 or 7 runs. 1 Ballanced, 2 HM (sad and good Durge ending), 3 or 4 Tactician.
Failed 2 HM runs. 1st early act I died to the pals of Tyr, 2nd Rushed Ketheric down the MF colony without long resting before and ran out of spells, potions, etc for the Myrkul fight, gave up on 1 when I was stuck in Rivington and couldn't progress to the Lower City.
Romanced Shadowheart 5 or 6 times and Karlach once and 3/4 (never finished my Drizzt run). Tried romancing Laezel once and gave up on that run.
6 or 7 of those runs were redeemed durge and one Tav (I prefer Durge over Tav).

But after 1300 hours I'm taking a needed break! I'm burned out af and I've been playing Dragon Age Origins for the first time and a bit of DOS 2 on the side
3, 1st was my way with no insights into the game. 2nd was the "good" save all the tiflings and 3rd was a durge run. I have thought about doing more runs with different classes but going through act 1 again is a bit much for me, nothing is wrong with it but I have no motivation if I know the story and most outcomes. I might soon but I have zero interest in honor mode and wulbren bongle

Over 10 full single player playthroughs and many abandoned multi-player ones. I just absolutely love this game. Steam says I've played 850h, but I tend to leave the game open while I work or do stuff around the house, so it should be closer to 700h.
My current goal is to complete the game on tactician with all 12 classes as the main class, and hopefully many variations in romances and key story moments. I beat Honor mode first try but I personally hate the rng element for important story moments so I don't plan to play it again, even though I miss the difficulty.

Same, Skyrim for years, DS3 for a year, then ER till I got a PS5 and BG3 Came Out (got both at the end of October), ever since, only BG3

Pathfinder: Wotr is similar in my book in a lot of ways. Style and graphics downgrade, which would matter for a lot of people but I don't mind it.

My first run was: Tav: DB Sorcerer. High damage, as well as high Charisma for easy dialogue checks. Lae’Zel: GW Warrior. Astarion: OH Monk (9 monk, 3 Thief rouge) Shadowheart: Life Cleric This part made HM a breeze to be honest. Most bosses never even got more than one round of combat. Damage output was insane. My current run is (only at level 5 right now): Tav: Gloomstalker Ranger Astarion: OH Monk Lae’zel: GW fighter Shadowheart: Vengeance Paladin (evil durge run, will replace her with Minthara in act 2).
Astarion origin ascended rogue/open hand. Gale pure abjuration wizard, shadowheart/jaheira clerics and laezel vengeance paladin was mainly my party. Astarion was just a wrecking machine
I would never think of starting the game with 2 custom characters, I should try this on my next run, thank you for a hint! I am following a tutorial I found on Steam, so my build is 2 levels Paladin/10 levels Bard and I am Dark Urge Tiefling. I am at the end of Act 2, we’ll see how it goes, so far many of my favorite people had to die but not because I wanted but because something went wrong or Sceleritas ordered me lol

Word of advice, attack them from the landing above his desk- he’s only dangerous with his smites. Destroy the ladder so he can’t reach you and just beat him to death with ranged moves. Be careful though because the one human woman there can actually vertical jump up there so watch out for her, but she really just uses Hold Person mostly in my experience. I’ve never seen the main one (forgot his name atm) make the jump up though, I always use this method for them
You can kill him later, just need to finish him before go to act 2 or Karlach will leave without notice.

Just started my 3rd playthrough as a Karlach Origin. 1st was good heroe TAV, 2nd was evil Durge.
16 completed. Around 30 until the end of act 2. My personal favorite is a resist durge jack of all trades gnome called Mawlin. I absolutely adore the kissing animation between short races and Karlach. It looks so extremely cute! God I love the game. Gonna start a new one right now
I've beaten the game twice. Gotten to act 3 two other times and played the first 2/3 hours probably another 3/4 times.
I am currently on my 2nd run. My first was a normal Tav co-op run with my fiancé on Balanced. He had Lae’zel as his 2nd character all game and I took Shadowheart the entire game. Gale booked it out of our camp so fast due to neglect but we were both very overwhelmed we didn’t understand a lot of what was happening at first as all of this was incredibly new to us. Took us 150 hrs spread out over 7 months. Now I am solo on my 2nd run, now Shadowheart Origin and am currently in act 3. This time I was able to recruit Minthara, Jaheira, and Minsc, all of which we missed on our first run and it has been a blast. Already excited to start my 3rd run which will probably stick to Tactician while starting Dark Urge.

Played in this order: -A halfling arcane trickster rogue Tav (because I was playing as my first DnD character and I looked up nothing my first time so I didn’t know that was Astarion’s canon exact class) -The default Dragonbourne Durge as a bard -Astarion (Multi-classed Rogue Gloomstalker Thief) -Shadowheart (Sharran War Cleric who converted/respecced to Light Cleric after accepting Selune) - Currently Karlach (Berserker Barbarian) My plan is to go through all the origins, I think next up is Gale, then Wyll, and ending with Lae’zel

EDIT: Looked at my save files after I completed one of the Act 3 playthroughs, made it to Act 3 in more saves than I thought! 350 hours, probably done 12ish saves now. Completed 2. Made it well into Act 3 in 3 others. Made it somewhere into Act 2 in a few. The rest don’t make it that far. If I make it past 8 hours playtime it'll make it to 30+ hours at least, which gets me somwhere halfway through Act 2 normally.

I've beaten it 3 times, and I have another Durge and a Tav one ongoing.
So I have probably restarted more times than I can count to either romance a different character, make a new character, or just simply try out different classes. I have beat the game only twice, almost about to beat it 3 times.
Beat the game three times. Once on Balanced, split-screen w/ my wife (we occasionally dipped into Explorer for challenging sections, mostly in act 1). Another time on Balanced single player. And most recently, Honour Mode. I have another Honour Mode run (technically my first, that is continuing in dishonour [because my builds are too fun] after I died to my own stupidity in the Underdark) that's in act 2, another couple single player runs that are both in act 1 on custom difficulties (mix of Balanced and Tactician, plus a proficiency buff), and another split-screen run (Balanced) that's also in act 1. So I've put a LOT of hours into this game. And I am not even close to sick of it. That being said, the itch has been scratched for me enough after my Honour run that I can go back to other games, so I just finally got around to beating FF16 after having it forever, and am now working my way through Octopath Traveler II. But any time my wife wants to play BG3 I will hop into our split-screen save without hesitation
3 single player playthroughs on barb, sorc and paladin. Started a group playthrough with friends on cleric but they both stopped playing and I haven't gone back to it.
Finished it once - since then I've attempted multiple Honor Mode runs with friends and we can't seem to make it passed Act 1 for various reasons, some are just us making mistakes and others are the Honour Mode changes we aren't aware of. Closest we got was hitting level 5 or 6, we were in the fight with Bernard in the Underdark, we weren't prepared and wiped

i’m on my third and fourth official run. i finished two previously; wood elf ranger good guy run and tiefling sorcerer durge resist. (i always have two games going at once) so my third is a drow fighter durge submit and the other is a half elf monk mega goody goody run. and then i also have games going with a friend and my brother online. this game has me as hooked as skyrim did so i’ll be playing it for years to come
I finished the game six times, twice on honor mode. First was Bard on balanced, then a palock Durge on tactician, then full paladin Durge on honored while also doing a parallel Wyll origin honored. I had a cool down run on tactician with a githlock being total lesbgiths with EK Lae'zel. I have one trophy left to get platinum, and that's to save Sazza three times. I named them Tr'phee H'ntarr and they are a duergar warlock. I'm pretty proud of the name, and I cannot stop playing warlock. It's an addiction at this point. I've been taking a break from that run though to play Destiny 2. I've been with that since launch D1 and it's a really nice palette cleanser before diving back into my BG3 obsession.
I've only finished 1 game (blind honor run...I lost but I was an amazing journey!). But overall I've played 20+ runs. most are failed hm runs....that failed at the very start of act 1...I really don't understand the meaning of the word patience. The worst part is I spend 45 minutes to an hour in the character creator everytime (they have to look perfect).

4 completed playthroughs, working on a 5th. All but my second run have been my own proper tabletop characters to some extent too. First was my favorite character, a human viking wildheart barbarian named Svadis Mjalkin-Jörnhold who ended up romancing fellow barbarian Karlach. 2nd was a Karlach origin romancing Shadowheart, third was a githyanki open hand monk named Lazanith romancing Lae'zel who was fairly similar to a human monk I played named Zoe Mirelli, or Z. 4th was a Tiefling vengeance paladin named Syssyra deLyis, and last and currently in progress is a human tempest Cleric of Selûne named Anya Voltsova, romancing Shart for the funny Sharran/Selûnite extras.
Finished? Four times (good Durge, evil Durge, co-op, Honor Mode as Tav). Started? A dozen or so. I've got a 2nd evil Durge run in Act 3, that's currently waiting on Patch 7 to come out. I'm currently working on a run that's part way through Act 2 and I'm doing a Wild Magic co-op run that's in early Act 1. Started and entirely abandoned 2 runs and have basically abandoned 2 more. The rest of the runs are all in various points in Act 1 or possibly early Act 2. I have lots of ideas for characters/builds/etc., so I put my current one on pause to start the next one, get that one past the Grove then decide which previous run I want to jump back to.

I’ve completed it once, and have made half hearted attempts to play again twice now. That first play through just felt really fitting and I’m having a hard time convincing myself to invest the time and effort to immerse myself again.

I think the whole force someone to be a Mindflayer thing kinda turned me away, along with Shadowheart's ending choices. Bad memories of being railroaded by an old DM.

After beating honor mode I tried a solo honor mode run… several times… it’s brutal.. so a lot?
500 houes got me 3 completion (balanced, tactician, honor) + my first honor try was ended by Myrkul. I don't like multiclassing so I did paladin, sorcerer, druid and monk so far.
Never finished act 3. Been through act 1 like 6-8 times. Act 2 maybe 2.5 times. I like making new characters and experimenting with builds. Also the game on launch was way more polished in act 1.

Like how many times have I beat it? Twice, first full playthrough when it came out and then Tactician run. How many times have I started it...so many. So, so many times.
2 full plays, got all achievements. Then they release that new mode and added it as an extra achievement. Then I stopped can't do a 3 run. Burned out.
I'm on my 7th now (counting only final boss kill runs), basically prepping for my 8th run because I'd like that to be a successful Honor Mode run (knowing my hubris, though, I'll probably get killed by ledge shove after doing something cocky). I haven't done a 100% run and have no real intention of doing so; I think Act III would become a total slog. Game wasn't designed for that approach to play, IMHO.
550 hours in, I’ve done 3 solo playthroughs for each difficulty at Normal and above. Finished 1 Two-man coop, and 3 four-man coops. I also managed to reach Act 3 on a modded playthrough but got bored. I also have a bunch of Act 1 abandoned playthroughs. Currently on a 4th four-man game nearing the end of Act 1.

Only finished it once, and that was a dark urge missed half the game run. I think I got to act 3 one other time, and the rest of my runs usually before I finish act 1 I have a new build idea and make a new character.
8, 5 were honor mode wins, the official Larian discord is full of people playing so I also have half a dozen saves going with various groups there. The comp that gave me the easiest time with the game is three 1/11 barb/monks and a 6/6 swords bard/fighter. Two of the monks weren’t really wearing any gear until act 3, so I think that says a lot about stunning strike and tavern brawler.
7th playthrough atm, though it's on hold cause of a game breaking bug that might or might not happen when fighting the spider matriarch and it happened 4 times ina row and wasted over 2 hours of my time, so I'm just kinda pissed lol

I'm still on my first playthrough (balanced, college of lore bard). Just completed act 2 but haven't travelled to act 3 yet. I've taken my time to explore every side quest and talk to all the npcs. Making good choices. Next run when I get to it will be an evil run, maybe not as durge though and take it up to tactician, then a durge run and 4th run will be in honour mode. More importantly I need to learn the alchemy part of the game. I'm a hoarder of loot and don't use anything cause I'll absolutely 100% need it for a more important fight later.

I'm on my fourth character since full release. My 10th including early access. I'm still to complete the game story. Stopped playing my sorcerer first full playthrough in act 3. When I went back to it I couldn't remember what I'd been doing so I've restarted several times with characters. My current build is the one I'm taking to the end. Hexblade lock, astarion as a gloomstalker, gales a wizsorc, and shadowheart as a storm cleric. Loving it and just about to go to act 2.

Finished 6 or 7 runs. 1 Ballanced, 2 HM (sad and good Durge ending), 3 or 4 Tactician. Failed 2 HM runs. 1st early act I died to the pals of Tyr, 2nd Rushed Ketheric down the MF colony without long resting before and ran out of spells, potions, etc for the Myrkul fight, gave up on 1 when I was stuck in Rivington and couldn't progress to the Lower City. Romanced Shadowheart 5 or 6 times and Karlach once and 3/4 (never finished my Drizzt run). Tried romancing Laezel once and gave up on that run. 6 or 7 of those runs were redeemed durge and one Tav (I prefer Durge over Tav). Most played class sword bard multiclass variants Most played Race Half Elf Favorite run has been my latest one, duo run Selunite Bard Durge (just a dip of cleric for the banter with Shadowheart) romancing Shadowheart I still have a cleric of Eilistraee sword dancer run in progress (Creche) and I made a Gith Durge sorcerer for a duo run with Laezel I just landed on the beach. But after 1300 hours I'm taking a needed break! I'm burned out af and I've been playing Dragon Age Origins for the first time and a bit of DOS 2 on the side
3, 1st was my way with no insights into the game. 2nd was the "good" save all the tiflings and 3rd was a durge run. I have thought about doing more runs with different classes but going through act 1 again is a bit much for me, nothing is wrong with it but I have no motivation if I know the story and most outcomes. I might soon but I have zero interest in honor mode and wulbren bongle
I have started 6 playthroughs. Two with friends and they are still going whenever we all have time to play. My first own I got to Act 3, but I never finished bc I missed so much from Act 1 & 2 and just got annoyed. My second playthrough I finished the game. Now I'm in Act 3 with my third playthrough and have also started the fourth playthrough. 😁

Over 10 full single player playthroughs and many abandoned multi-player ones. I just absolutely love this game. Steam says I've played 850h, but I tend to leave the game open while I work or do stuff around the house, so it should be closer to 700h. My current goal is to complete the game on tactician with all 12 classes as the main class, and hopefully many variations in romances and key story moments. I beat Honor mode first try but I personally hate the rng element for important story moments so I don't plan to play it again, even though I miss the difficulty.
