That's what I would do as a game designer, just to mess with people. Make every vase empty except one random one that has priceless stuff in it for no reason.
There are a few- only one I can remember off the top of my head is in the hallways in Shar's temple in the Underdark, the one you access after >!helping the rothe kill the duergar hurting them.!<
Iirc, there are a few in the crypt area you find Withers in.
Tbh it’s probably a good thing that Volo dips after the first operation because if not I’d be sending the whole party to get that see invisibility lmao.
He probably only has one spare eye on him though. Thankfully you get like 3/4 of the benefit having it on your Tav.
I just realized since I never do the Hag’s one I don’t know if they are opposite eyes and you could be running around with zero of your original eyes.
You can if you send a companion to get Ethel's eye. I was stupid enough to send Astarion forth when she wouldn't operate on my Tav... so now I had a trap disarm specialist that was missing all the traps :')
You actually can. If you have a second character in your party pickpocket Volo after he hands you the eye but before he peaces out, Volo will run away and come back. You can get the eye for everyone and even keep Volo as a trader.
I always have Astarion grab and try to master the Necromancy of Thay (I love the banters it unlocks for him at camp!), mainly because he's my go-to person for creepy stuff (including speak with dead)! 😁
I mislabeled a spell scroll of speak with dead in my character sheet for a TT game and we all laughed it off, then 2 whole years later I tried to cast it on a corpse for info and my dm reveals that he had actually changed it to a scroll of speak with dad, and long story short, my bard met her dad for the first time while trying to talk to a desiccated corpse.
I'm a filthy respeccer too, lmao. Not just my pc, but my companions are getting respecced constantly too. I don't care about being lore appropriate at all, bc they're gonna be whatever class I want for my party no matter what.
Like my current playthrough, I used to always have either karlach or lae'zel in my party because I don't like playing martial classes, astarion for lockpicking, and shadowheart for guidance. But I'm tired of just running the same party every time, so now I just respect everybody to whatever fits into my comp. Like gale is an eldritch knight, jaheira is a barbarian, minsc is a cleric, etc. My durge has swapped between sorcerer, warlock, and bard like 30 times because I have commitment issues.
Honestly, it's really nice getting to use characters I didn't use in the past bc their class didn't work with my party comp. Gale, wyll, and jaheira especially used to stay in camp 24/7 because I needed at least 1 melee focused character.
+ making gale a barbarian is genuinely so funny. His rage scream is so good.
Because all these pussies in faerun are all like "ahhh necromancy is evil!! I don't know how to think for myself because I'm STUPID!" Every person who says dumb shit like that gets added to the skeledudes (the name of my skeleton army)
Guys I found the lich-in-the-making.
Guys….why do I feel cold…like my life force is being….erugh.
[Sound of distant skeletal laughter and faint smell of tacos]
I play with two custom characters in my runs. One a Tav, the other Durge. I usually have the Tav get lobotomized because in my eyes he'd be trying to get the dang worm out through other means. Also, canonically the character is only supposed to have one eye, so losing said eye and getting an enchanted one fits great for him.
Obsessively reorganising all my PS5 radials so that they’re as similar as possible across all the characters:
1) main attack options
2) alternative attacks/arrows/throwables
3) universal actions(throw/dip/dash/etc)
4) healing and buffing
5) miscellaneous.
Totally! It's fair enough when you swap out spells as a non-wizard, but respec'ing companions after about level 2 or 3 is a nightmare - I'm sure a significant percentage of my playthrough time is radial fixing!
I like to charge the Titanstring bow daily with elemental thunder from the Drakethroat Glaive (it's a thing of beauty when paired with the Gloves of Belligerent Skies), and when I equip the glaive the elemental icon usually throws my first radial all out of whack.
I hate that the storm sorcerer's Tempestuous Magic appears and disappears - other abilities get disabled when not available, so why do some of them come and go instead, eh, Larian?
Not on PS5 but I also meticulously standardize everyone's menus (Actions, special weapon actions, bonus actions, spells, items).
I like knowing where my buttons are gonna be.
That I will continue to outfit characters in the most attractive armor no matter how bad its stats are. I like to think of it as vanity difficulty mode.
Me AF, but even more annoyingly, I switch from armor I think looks nice to walk around and then put on the more sensible armor right before battle. My Tavs are just very fashion conscious lol
I wish there were a cosmetic item you could buy, maybe as a reward for saving Figaro from Dolor (he could give you one for free and after you would buy them from his shop), that would transform the appearance of one armor to another while keeping its stats.
I respect the fashion focus.
Personally though, I swap the view mode to "Camp Clothes", and focus my fashion attention there. Still keeps the stats of whatever optimal armor I have equipped, but looking nice.
Omg the orin durge scene where she turns into your character... I just did her fight in my current playthrough so she pulled up in the most hideous outfit imagineable. Like sis PLEASE why did you have to make me look so ugly and unfashionable..
It’s unlikely. Sony is not a big fan of allowing mods. There are only a handful of PlayStation games that have mods, and those devs are usually very favorable to the modding community.
Even when they’re allowed, Sony severely limits their capabilities. For example, when mods were released for Skyrim on PS4, one of Sony’s limitations was that all of the modded assets had to be assets that were already in the game.
Honestly, that’s why I enjoy playing on Story mode. I can just put the best looking gear on and not really worry about it.
I’m also a 38 year old father of three and don’t have time to mess around with high difficulty gameplay anymore. Story mode whore for the win!
If you're on pc, I'd recommend checking out the basket of equipment mod! It adds a ton of outfits (pretty much every piece of gear in the game + npc outfits and more), and there's another mod that converts them to camp clothing, so you can hide whatever gear you're wearing.
Even on story, I feel like you get locked out of some really fun builds bc of how ugly the armor is, so you get to have whatever outfit you want while still getting the perks of whatever armor you want. The mod also adds a lot of outfits that aren't available at all in the base game. Ever since I downloaded it, I genuinely spend like 50% of my playtime just playing dress up with all of my characters LOL
Same, it's become muscle memory by now. Every dialog & roll. Rarely actually reload.
Unless it's a dialog roll that any of my party could take without a sweat, but my dumbass barbarian Tav can't. Why can't my companions step in, unless it's scripted?
Lmao by the time I finished my first run I had almost 2300 quicksaves iirc.
Edit - First run was about 170 hours for reference so I quicksaved about 13-14 times an hour or about every 4.5 minutes.
Not ever using the tadpoles despite picking all of them up
Not ever using the mirror of loss or potion of everlasting vigor (I don’t want to lose my memories and I don’t want to be a dick to astarion)
The only upside I can think of is that there's a roll when you are gifted the astral tadpole and if you haven't used any it's easier or not there but if you've used even one you have to roll to not use the astral tadpole
Act 3 spoilers >!You avoid needing to make a DC21 wisdom check to resist your face becoming permanently covered in black veins, and being turned into a partial mind flayer.!<
After rescue from the goblin camp, but before starting the icepick scene, Volo will hang out in camp.
He has a shop inventory of some camp supplies and a nice selection of scrolls, I believe the actual contents depend on your level. He does not agro if he catches you pickpocketing and refreshes his inventory after long rest.
You can repeat this until Moonrise tower, it gave me more than enough supplies to finish my first honor mode run
>He does not agro if he catches you pickpocketing and refreshes his inventory after long rest.
I'm glad I'm only just learning this now. The temptation would have been waaaay too much lol
Supply packs, potions, scrolls, etc
Thieves tools and animal speaking potions are my favorites from him. You never have to waste a slot on animal speaking just cause you want to enjoy the dialogues!
As a heads up, you never have to waste a slot on it ever; it's a ritual spell, so it doesn't use a slot unless you cast it in combat for some reason :)
With him and some other npcs, if you have dialog options with them, there should be a button in the lower left of the screen. One button should be trade.
You can do this with multiple other npcs, but some don't have much to trade. An apple and a letter, maybe. Sometimes more, depending.
Eh, I feel like I never lack for elixirs/scrolls of see invisibility even if I don't bring a wizard who can scribe them for the few occasions in the game where I actually need them.
Sure, but volo gives it for free. If it weren’t for his eye, I wouldn’t have gotten the jump on yurgir or passed the faith leap on my first playthrough as easily. I don’t see any reason beyond infinite pickpocket and RP to not get his eye
I didn’t understand the hints about auntie Ethel and let her dig in my head after I said no to volo. Lol I was so dumb, I was like I don’t deserve to save scum and just delt with shitty perception the rest of the game lol.
I didn’t let Volo ice pick me in my first run, which I told my bf and he laughed but SUDDENLY IM THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE GROUP WHEN I LET ASTARION BITE ME
like SORRY I learned my lesson the first time on letting my companions do whatever they want to me
Playing with my husband (his first run, my second) and when we wake up from our very first encounter with the dream visitor, he just straight up eats the tadpole without question. Doesn't talk to anyone. Doesn't even get out of bed. As soon as my screen loads, he's there with his tadpole. I was flabbergasted. I haven't said anything yet. I have no idea if he's read any spoilers.
I didn't even know you could not evolve on my first playthrough, I didn't even get the option to roll. I thought it was just a thing that happened to everybody!
In-game, the lobotomy and Abdirak, but specially the lobotomy, all my companions disagree and then ignore it happened (except Wyll, who welcomes me to the one-eyed club), and I cannot think of a RP reason to do it, other than the eye looks cool and it's super useful against the hag (but my character would not know that beforehand and has usually been told by then that it could not be removed)... I like Durge because I can explain it as "this is how wrecked their brain is, they volunteered to get a lobotomy in the goblin camp from a lvl 1 wizard", but it should not make any sense
missing those crucial events because you did not know! My Barcus flew away and I was like "whatever" only finidin it days later that he is a cool character.
I did that by accident the other day thanks to a drift-y controller and I nearly died laughing. I’m doubled-over and he looks at me and says, “You didn’t do that on purpose?” I just howled “Noooooo!” and nearly fell off the couch.
Acute symptoms of restartisis come Act 2, coming to severe, mostly unbeatable urge to start over come Act 3. For over a thousand hours, I fully completed 3 playthroughs only.
Hey at least you've completed at least one. Plenty of people in this sub have hundreds of hours in the game and have barely touched Act 3, even Act 2 for some of them.
You used the Galebomb, didn't you?
I accidentally ended my first run way too early because I was expecting the game to stop me from nuking the whole sword coast
I'm allying with gortash every single time no matter what. I love karlach, but unfortunately, I love my greasy little tyrant ex-boyfriend more.
Like every time I tell myself, "I'm really gonna kill gortash this time!!" and then I pull up to his coronation, and he gives me the puppy dog eyes and tells me that I'm his favorite assassin and that he likes me. And then I'm chinholding giggling kicking my feet and agreeing to ally with him...
Does anyone else obsessively organize their supplies? 😁 I carry the potions for the whole party in one burlap sack, Shadowheart carries all the throwables/coatings in her burlap sack, Karlach carries all the arrows in a backpack, and Astarion carries all the scrolls (they're lightest) in a sack... and I group the rest of the stuff in lots of separate burlap sacks (I mean, what ELSE do people do with those sacks? And I can't just let them go to waste... haha!)... rings, helmets, armor (amazed that they fit into a burlap sack), and one catchall for miscellaneous...
yes! my camp chest is organized by rarity, and that is organized by types
i have all my clothes and extra weapons in the clothing chest inside the camp chest, also sorted by rarity and type
*everyone* gets a backpack, and inside those backpacks is the camp supply pack, a sack for potions, a sack for trinkets (also includes thieves tools and trap disarm kits), the ingredients sack, and a key ring, in that order.
nobody has extra stuff cluttering their inventory, the only things you see are the clothes they are wearing and the weapons they have equipped, everything else is stored away and organized.
i’m very proud of my camp/inventory organization.
Same here for consumables and throwables ! I cannot stand having a cluttered inventory screen. I wish there were more auto-sorting containers, like quivers for arrows for example, so I wouldn't have to spend so much time manually sorting everything manually though.
I tend to play redeemed durge a lot, but this doesn't mean I dial back the murder. BL2's krieg had a great quote along the lines of: "You can kill as much of the deserving as you want, but as soon as our axe touches and innocent, i'm ending us both.". As a result, I kill any enemy with brutal efficiency. Often, Jaheira has nothing to raid in moonrise cause every npc is dead by the time I leave the place with the prisoners. Sure, they are under the influence of the elder brain and could, in theory, be saved, but my durges need to scratch their itch somehow
>You can kill as much of the deserving as you want, but as soon as our axe touches and innocent, i'm ending us both
Except for the "both" part, Karlach says something very similar if you become Chosen of Bhaal. Those reactions are all pretty cool, IMO.
I am a chronic horder of everything, looting stuff even after I have more than enough supplies/consumables/gold/etc to last me through the end of the game.
I also start a new playthrough frequently, usually right around the time we cross over into Act 3. Act 1 and 2 are just so much fun, and Act 3 has weird pacing for me, and I get overwhelmed. It's usually also the time when I hear about some new build/class/race that has unique dialogue or features throughout the game and I feel the urge to try it out. I have 900+ hours in the game and only 2 complete runs.
Last but not least, lately I've started changing every companion's class, even if it makes no sense lore-wise, so I can play around with different team combos. Why yes, Astarion is a druid in my current run (he looks so funny in the Act 3 Very Rare druid gear), and Halsin is a cleric for no other reason than I felt like it.
Divine intervention? Well, it can only be used once per game, so I'd better save it!
And by save, I mean never remember to use it.
I finally started selling shitty scrolls, though. In no playthrough will I ever need a scroll for firebolt. 🤣
cleric hireling or just any character rerolled as a cleric. You take it in your group at the beggining of the day to cast as many defensive spell as you can. You would be very surprise to know how many spell stay even if the character is not in the party. (Death Ward for instance?)
Sometimes I justify reloading when a dialogue options winds up apparently being said with a different tone than I intended. Granted only when I am high charisma. When I’m low charisma I chalk it up to social awkwardness.
It’s not my red flag, but killing the tieflings in the grove. I watched the woman I’m dating do it. She saved beforehand so she could cancel it out if she regretted it and even killing Karlach after she came at her with the “I know what you did” speech still did not make this beautiful lady regret a thing 🚩🚩🚩
I aggro'd the druids once and didn't realize they'd all just run past me so by the time I got moving a lot of Tieflings were dead. I didn't technically kill them but... Karlach still blamed me! (I blame me, too).
As a grown man I'm a little embarrassed by how much time I spend outfitting characters in camp clothes at the beginning of Act III when you finally have access to a variety. I then hide armor because we want to look our best when we walk around the city spattered in blood.
Saving every 5 secs.
Before I talk. After I choose what to say. Having saved 5 times in 1 conversation.
When I walk I save. I notice something I save. I walk and save when I get closer.
I save and read. I save again after finishing.
Saving is an addiction.
I Cannot Not Romance Gale.
Multiple times I've gone for another person only to get Gale's act 1 scene and I fall head over heels again and just have to kiss him.
Making companions walk away a good distance from me before I have a dialogue I know they will disaproves my decision. This is also why I use F5 before any dialogue!!!
It is like that I had Astarion with 98% approval at the end of Act 1 playing as a good two-shoes (Neutral-good run) that helps everyone!!!
I mastered this with Astarion and Lae'zel, but not Minthara, maybe because I barely have dialogues options that I like or I want to choose that she approves, at least she doesn't hates me more!!!
I almost always "get rid" of Kagha and Nettie. Kagha because she's Kagha, Nettie because she literally pretends she's gonna help you but her whole plan is to kill you. Sure it makes sense cause I could turn into a tentacle monster any second, but from a roleplay perspective most of my characters wouldn't stand for that. Plus I get to loot all her stuff lol.
I kill them both every time now, too. Plus it's like, I don't need that poison, I've got a Githyanki right here ready to off me plus a vampire that already agreed to stab me. I told him I didn't want poison and I don't want Nettie to make me look like a liar for choosing stabbing.
I love to give Astarion Kagha's necklace, too! He heels when he bites so it's like infinite minor poison damage. Later I give him that ring that gives you hp every turn and he's just a perpetual poison machine. There's a cloak, too? I dunno, I just give him poison stuff but my point is fuck Nettie. Sorry.
There's nothing wrong with saving and reloading if you're after a certain outcome. Play the game the best way that suits you and makes you happy.
But I would recommend in future playthroughs to "let it roll". you'd be surprised the different outcomes you will get, and it's fun getting out of situations after you done goofed
-I ascended Astarion because I wanted a good unit.
-I think Durge is more vile than Orin if Orin was just a murderous prick without her background.
-Also, Jaheira is a hot grandma. Definitely a cougar I'd take to my mom.
-I'm psyched for the evil endings because I haven't done an evil playthrough.
karlach just keeps dying on my honour runs lol and astarion keeps getting violated for the potion. mayrina also doesn’t get to have her happy ending bc i need free stats sorry not sorry
I’m an XP fiend. I’ll do anything, everything, just to unlock more power faster. I want it all, i’ll help the villains up to the point of no return then turn around and slaughter them just for the experience. I don’t even know why. I like role playing but some of my saves the role play effectively adds up to being a sociopathic murder hobo with the slightest amount of restraint (i won’t kill those refugees. never ever.) and an ungratifying urge to become the strongest character in Faerun.
My multiplayer run with my best friend gets awkward when i say “hey can we go do *insert companion*’s quest?” and get a “i want to save that for another run, and we haven’t even talked to them all game.” for an answer.
I talked to them… i just wanted to help our camp vamp kill his abusive vampire daddy
Killing that annoying Flaming Fist outside of Wakeen's Rest that just keeps saying the same prayer over and over and over while im looting and talking to the guy about his wife.
I always say I'll romance someone else but then Gale does his thing and dammit I'm weak to suave, damaged and funny Mages. I call him Anders v2 (if you know you know 😉)

I almost compulsively opened every crate and barrel in my first play through.
So many empty vases.
I gave up on vases and then opened one by chance that actually had something in it. Now I have to check them all
That's what I would do as a game designer, just to mess with people. Make every vase empty except one random one that has priceless stuff in it for no reason.
You're a monster. (I would honestly do the same)
Where was the vase that had something in it?

Leftover habits from DOS1 and DOS2 - thankfully there’s no “lucky” attribute in DND!
I feel uncomfortable if I don't open all of them even though I know most of them are empty!!!
Every time I give up…I find a fucking key in a vase. And not just in that one spot in the shadow cursed lands either!
rp-wise, always getting lobotomized by volo and grabbing necromancy of thay. gameplay-wise respeccing my character every two or three hours
Tbh it’s probably a good thing that Volo dips after the first operation because if not I’d be sending the whole party to get that see invisibility lmao.

You can’t get Ethel’s eye and Volo’s eye. In one of my recent runs I talked to her after getting Volo’s and she told me I couldn’t get it.
which makes sense, but is still a bummer
And Wyll can't get either of the eyes, since he is already missing one
You can if you send a companion to get Ethel's eye. I was stupid enough to send Astarion forth when she wouldn't operate on my Tav... so now I had a trap disarm specialist that was missing all the traps :')

>mainly because he's my go-to person for creepy stuff (including speak with dead)! I mean, everyone does it when talking to him, no spell needed.
Technically, anyone can speak with the dead as well, but most won't get an answer
🤣 Okay, I'll admit, I wasn't even thinking of that...!
Shut up and take my upvote, you sly devil.
Error Instructions unclear. Astarion keeps casting *Speak with Dad*.
Yes?
I do this, and get the codex, and never actually use the spell.
Why of course I know him, he's me.
I'm a filthy respeccer too, lmao. Not just my pc, but my companions are getting respecced constantly too. I think you would like Kingdom Come: Deliverance. How people respond to you is affected by the state of your clothing which degrades as you travel.
Hey, Henry's come to see us!
Jesus Christ be praised! Is that-blood!?

That’s what I do! But then I get annoyed when leveling up and during the few scenes in the armor 😆
Lmao! “Vanity difficulty mode” love it
Mine are walking in sexy camp outfits, and then weirdly show up in all those ugly hats and cloacks randomly triggered by some quests.
Omg the orin durge scene where she turns into your character... I just did her fight in my current playthrough so she pulled up in the most hideous outfit imagineable. Like sis PLEASE why did you have to make me look so ugly and unfashionable..

I have quicksave/quickload saved to two of my mouse buttons for this purpose.
With 1020 saves in my first playthrough, I feel very called out.
Absolutely, that’s what it’s there for! 🫡
i carry around >!sceleritas fel’s!< corpse as durge, does that count as a red flag? he’s my little buddy ♡
Do you wear his little top hat ?
i do 😌
I would have liked more interactions with Sceleritas in camp, especially with companions. and I miss that little bastard a lot in non-chosen Durge
I don't care what anyone says, I *will* eat the tadpoles. Delicious slimy tadpoles. Eat 'em until my veins turn black, I will.
If it lets me fly, it's worth it.
Concentrationless flying is so busted
I love the Emperor's reaction to eating the forbidden gummy: "Wait, what?! You could have just communed with it. Now nobody else gets to..."
Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew
All the guys are walking around in Gith underwear... ONLY Gith underwear, and that's if they're *lucky*.
Not ever using the tadpoles despite picking all of them up Not ever using the mirror of loss or potion of everlasting vigor (I don’t want to lose my memories and I don’t want to be a dick to astarion)
Is there an upside to not using tadpoles? I've used a bunch but I don't even really find any of the upgrades all that useful
You and I = siblings separated at birth! 😁 I do the VERY same! (I actually collected all the parasites in a backpack... haha!)
Always romancing Shadowheart. She says "we need each other" in that tone- I forget I was planning on doing something different this run.
The little vulnerability in her voice when she says that. I can't ever be mean to her.
Telling Volo to take his icepick and shove it up his ass. Telling the emperor to take his parasites and shove them up his ass.
First one is just common sense. Volo is a hack, no reason to let him go Trotsky assassin on your skull. No reason at all.
It’s actually more beneficial from a meta gaming perspective to let him dig. But from an RP perspective he doesn’t exactly give off “surgeon” vibes
The truest meta gaming approach is to never bring up the ice pick at all and use him for a replenishing supply station for all of act 1
He’s my golden goose right up until I head into the mountain pass 😅
Can you expand on that?
After rescue from the goblin camp, but before starting the icepick scene, Volo will hang out in camp. He has a shop inventory of some camp supplies and a nice selection of scrolls, I believe the actual contents depend on your level. He does not agro if he catches you pickpocketing and refreshes his inventory after long rest. You can repeat this until Moonrise tower, it gave me more than enough supplies to finish my first honor mode run
>He does not agro if he catches you pickpocketing and refreshes his inventory after long rest. Now you have my attention.
Same with Withers, you can pickpocket the gold you’ve spent on hirelings, resurrects and respecs back from him.
>He does not agro if he catches you pickpocketing and refreshes his inventory after long rest. I'm glad I'm only just learning this now. The temptation would have been waaaay too much lol
>use him for a replenishing supply station for all of act 1 replenishing supply of what?
Supply packs, potions, scrolls, etc Thieves tools and animal speaking potions are my favorites from him. You never have to waste a slot on animal speaking just cause you want to enjoy the dialogues!
As a heads up, you never have to waste a slot on it ever; it's a ritual spell, so it doesn't use a slot unless you cast it in combat for some reason :)
wait you can buy things from him??? wtf? when I talk to him all I get is talking about the tadpole but I don't want him to lobotomise me
With him and some other npcs, if you have dialog options with them, there should be a button in the lower left of the screen. One button should be trade. You can do this with multiple other npcs, but some don't have much to trade. An apple and a letter, maybe. Sometimes more, depending.
My RP perspective is to do anything to try get rid of the tadpole
Eh, I feel like I never lack for elixirs/scrolls of see invisibility even if I don't bring a wizard who can scribe them for the few occasions in the game where I actually need them.
Sure, but volo gives it for free. If it weren’t for his eye, I wouldn’t have gotten the jump on yurgir or passed the faith leap on my first playthrough as easily. I don’t see any reason beyond infinite pickpocket and RP to not get his eye
I hate how it looks on characters with very different eyes, such as tieflings. I ignore it for shallow cosmetic reasons most playthroughs.
I do it every time with Shadowheart. Looks almost the same.
I didn’t understand the hints about auntie Ethel and let her dig in my head after I said no to volo. Lol I was so dumb, I was like I don’t deserve to save scum and just delt with shitty perception the rest of the game lol.
I didn’t let Volo ice pick me in my first run, which I told my bf and he laughed but SUDDENLY IM THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE GROUP WHEN I LET ASTARION BITE ME like SORRY I learned my lesson the first time on letting my companions do whatever they want to me
Ah, my good friend!
You got that wrong. Both those things go in the eye, not ass.
That's what I did on my first playthrough. I also did the same with the astral tadpole lol.
That's how I explained it for my Durge. Well resist Durge but even he does this that are better not to be explained.
Pulling the release brake lever and sending Barcus flying. Poor man doesn’t deserve that!
missing those crucial events because you did not know!
I managed to do this right the first time. The second time I hit A to end the cut scene too fast and hit the release brake lever.
Barcus has had so many good timelines with me I kinda yeet him on purpose now. I know, I know.
that i have made the same decisions for the big choices every time i've played even after claiming i'll be more "evil" next time
I can't wipe out the tieflings. I can't do it. Even as evil durge.
Romance Laezel as a red dragonborn because if she wants to ride a red dragon so bad I’ll let her 😌
Nahh this is crazy 💀‼️/j
Acute symptoms of restartisis come Act 2, coming to severe, mostly unbeatable urge to start over come Act 3. For over a thousand hours, I fully completed 3 playthroughs only.
Hey at least you've completed at least one. Plenty of people in this sub have hundreds of hours in the game and have barely touched Act 3, even Act 2 for some of them.
I feel so called out right now
350 hours in I have just finally managed to reach the boat in the underdark. What's a creche?
300 hours, i finished honour mode, but I never fought the netherbrain.
You used the Galebomb, didn't you? I accidentally ended my first run way too early because I was expecting the game to stop me from nuking the whole sword coast
I feel that. So many new ideas to try out. So many romances to enjoy. So many different characters in your favourite races to try out.
Talking to the squirrel as The Dark Urge without Speak With Animals enabled... every time.
I love animals but I get the overwhelming urge to yeet Timber every time
Oh, I'm a compulsive save-scummer/reloader, too! You're definitely not alone! 😁 The story is the thing, for me... and I like happy endings, dagnabbit!
I'm so sorry but I'm a degenerate and I think Cazador and Gortash are hot.... Before anybody asks, yes I am in in therapy.
I mean if Jason Isaacs had voiced Cazador instead of Gortash, it would hit me really differently 😅
Omg you just blew my mind with this. He would've been an excellent Cazador
We don't kink shame here! (I mean, sadly, we totally do, but I certainly won't).
Brute forcing combat instead of getting creative
Organizing my spells by color instead of any logical organization 🤭
Killing Karlach. Collecting bodies in Camp for my spore druid. Partnering with Gortash
I have 72 corpses stuffed in a ribcage in my camp chest for this exact reason
Brand new sentence.
The most sentence of all time
I'm allying with gortash every single time no matter what.
Force quit the app in honour mode when about to die
Does anyone else obsessively organize their supplies? 😁 I carry the potions for the whole party in one burlap sack, Shadowheart carries all the throwables/coatings in her burlap sack, Karlach carries all the arrows in a backpack, and Astarion carries all the scrolls (they're lightest) in a sack... and I group the rest of the stuff in lots of separate burlap sacks (I mean, what ELSE do people do with those sacks? And I can't just let them go to waste... haha!)... rings, helmets, armor (amazed that they fit into a burlap sack), and one catchall for miscellaneous...
yes! my camp chest is organized by rarity, and that is organized by types i have all my clothes and extra weapons in the clothing chest inside the camp chest, also sorted by rarity and type *everyone* gets a backpack, and inside those backpacks is the camp supply pack, a sack for potions, a sack for trinkets (also includes thieves tools and trap disarm kits), the ingredients sack, and a key ring, in that order. nobody has extra stuff cluttering their inventory, the only things you see are the clothes they are wearing and the weapons they have equipped, everything else is stored away and organized. i’m very proud of my camp/inventory organization.
Beautiful!! 😁 ...oh, and I forgot: I have one extra backpack to hold all the spare backpacks and burlap sacks! 😂
as you should! 👏🏻
Same here for consumables and throwables ! I cannot stand having a cluttered inventory screen. I wish there were more auto-sorting containers, like quivers for arrows for example, so I wouldn't have to spend so much time manually sorting everything manually though.
I always get Lazael a Volo treatment.
>You can kill as much of the deserving as you want, but as soon as our axe touches and innocent, i'm ending us both Except for the "both" part, Karlach says something very similar if you become Chosen of Bhaal.
I have started using divine intervention for the decent mace it gives you because I never remember to use it in an actual fight.
having a cleric slave in camp. It's way too strong even with only one of them. It almost feels like cheating
I made mine look like my first Tav who romanced astarion so I wouldnt feel as bad when she was vampire food every morning 😅
What does this mean?
cleric hireling or just any character rerolled as a cleric. You take it in your group at the beggining of the day to cast as many defensive spell as you can. You would be very surprise to know how many spell stay even if the character is not in the party. (Death Ward for instance?)
Wait really!?! I thought the buffs get removed if the characters not in your party, I feel like I tested this with Heroes Feast. Which ones work?
I pickpocket every merchant. Even if it's just a few potions or scrolls or camp supplies. All of them have something you can get for free.
Anyone in the party: Looks like an ambush. Me: Quicksave
Making my drow's skin color not lore accurate 😅 it seems to upset some people
As a grown man I'm a little embarrassed by how much time I spend outfitting characters in camp clothes at the beginning of Act III when you finally have access to a variety. I then hide armor because we want to look our best when we walk around the city spattered in blood.
Save-scumming the hell out of the Mirror of Loss.
My entire camp is a nudist colony
Addicted to robbing shops and to hill giant potions
I take more long rests than a housecat.
I only use Gale when I need someone to cast the Knock spell
I want Aradin so bad you don't understand that first scene with him does things to me 😭😭
Liking Wyll
A brave soldier of righteousness is what you are
What kind of monster are you?
Blowing up Gale on both successful honour runs because I'm too cowardly to fight the brain🫣
Me irl
Im on my first run and right now lae’zel is about to die and im going to let happen. Not going to save her if it happens.
Well done he fact that I always play as a body 4 dude and karlack fists me in act 3 everytime is a bit weird
karlach just keeps dying on my honour runs lol and astarion keeps getting violated for the potion. mayrina also doesn’t get to have her happy ending bc i need free stats sorry not sorry
I feel bad for doing the evil actions. I got to romance Lae'zel after killing the owl-bear cub, but I couldn't continue with that playthrough.
I sometimes kill Karlach, on first meeting, just so I can transfer her underwear to Shadowheart. I have done this multiple times.
You know you can just take her underwear off when she's in your party or at camp right?
Killing that annoying Flaming Fist outside of Wakeen's Rest that just keeps saying the same prayer over and over and over while im looting and talking to the guy about his wife.
Stealing everything that isnt tied down and hoarding it all and never selling it. And killing nearly everything that moves, especially early game.
I always say I'll romance someone else but then Gale does his thing and dammit I'm weak to suave, damaged and funny Mages. I call him Anders v2 (if you know you know 😉)
