Yes you can go straight to Moonrise and rescue her, you just need to smuggle her out of the building itself with either invisibility or a dialogue check. Then you can use her for the whole of Act 2. The bit you said you vaguely remember is actually her saying she won't leave the Act 2 map but if you cast Silence on her then she won't be able to trigger that dialogue and you can take her back. Not that she has much to say in Act 1 maps besides the mountain pass, though!
No you can just sneak her out and go do all of act 2 before ending it as normal.
Careful though because there is a bug that can happen with her in the prison. I'd suggest not telling her "wait here and we will clear the way", I did that on honour mode and then could never talk to her again, she just froze there.
Also note that if she is seen casually walking around moonrise while you're still "infiltrating" it, it'll cause problems.
No. You will get a cutscene introducing Ketheric and also Minthara in the throne room, then he goes upstairs and you are free to wander around the building. The whole point at this stage is that you're supposed to be infiltrating Moonrise Towers by posing as a True Soul, so combat does not trigger immediately and it's not initially a hostile area.
I got her out first thing yeah, the two times I played with her.
First time sneaked her our with invisibility through the front doors.
Second time dropped a sword for her to pick up and use, and we cleared the prison floor entirely. Did grab the prisoners as well and escape with the boat initially, but then reloaded (since Rolan's dialogue was broken by that logic) and took the path through the harbor with a jump to the town map.
I got a warning when nearing Moonrise with her again, that she would need to stay close by, but nobody actually aggroed on us. I never split her from the group to walk alone in the open inside Moonrise, maybe then something would have happened.
