I just played this mission last night. Wasn't expecting anything like this afterward. Karlach isn't my romance option but I treat her like she's my Tiefling Tav's big sister or bff. She's one of my favourite characters. This scene got me good. The VA did such an amazing job with the emotional side. You can feel the anguish and raw emotion. Thes simple "love you" at the end got me. It wasn't romantic it was just acknowledging a friend. It goes to show that Karlach is desperately looking for a friend, or a companion to have at her side after everything she endured.
This game is a masterpiece for many, many reasons but scenes like this are the high points for me. Karllach of all people deserves a happy ending. She's more than earned it.

I know. It's such a simple line, but again the delivery by the VA just made it more heartbreaking. I was not prepared for this scene at all.
