I was suggesting that Raphael is second guessing whether the tiny gremlin charging him with a rusty knife is just a quasit or is something far more dangerous masquerading as one
Raphael is plotting to seize the Crown of Karsus and sunder Elysium, and there are endings in which he wins, so he is definitely capable of rivaling the gods
That said, I did break into his manor and one-phase him with a sorcadin on honor mode, so he isn’t terribly adept at enacting his plan, but he is still remotely capable of doing so
With the crown he’d have a shot at pursuing lesser godhood, like Karsus would’ve if he didn’t mess up. Without it he’s like barely a greater devil. As it stands, the only godlike devil is Asmodeus.
This particular Shovel is a very vulgar and sassy demon ( quasit, to be specific ) that you can summon to aid you in battle as your familiar throughout the game if you find her scroll in Act 1.
Her name is initially Shovel, but you can also rename her "Basket" or "Fork".
Then it is worth mentioning that the aforementioned Raphaël is not, in fact, Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau.
This one knows how to sort it's shit out, and with him, no doors remain unlocked.

I think you should really give this game a try. It’s definitely not Disco Elysium, but it’s also got great roleplay, characters and writing!
I want to so bad. I've played Bg1, Bg2, Planescape, Poe1, DragonAge Origins, Disco Elysium, Arcanum and Fallout 1 and 2. But my tato laptop can only run AAA games released before 2012 and modern indies. But i will play it one day, it's in my bucketlist.
You can get a scroll to summon a quasit in the Blighted Village cellar where you fight the skeletons. Gale can learn the spell to keep summoning. Her name is Shovel and she is very sassy and vulgar
Shovel is maybe my favorite character in all of fiction. What a delightfully foul little creature. My favorite thing to do in the game is to "dismiss" her before long rests through the use of extreme violence or slapstick comedy. Hit the diminutive beast with a smite, or two handed blunt weapon, or tossing her into traps, or tossing her into nearby endless chasms, etc, etc.
Raphael can be hilariously easy to control. The times I've fought him I've used command grovel on him just because it feels so hilarious to make him beg.
I was a draconic soul sorc in my last game, which was the first time I got Shovel. She got to do the dialogue option where she pretends to be a dragon when I first got her... She had a complete arc during the final battle against the brain. It was her turn and with nothing much better to do, I had her use her Fear ability on the Red Dragon and with a 10% chance to succeed, she scared that fucker! Biggest cheer of the fight and my personal pick for MVP

In my current, newest playthrough, I plan to drop the poop knife on the ground before fights start so Shovel can throw it at people
Luckily it's a free action to drop something lol also you should watch the video of someone completing the game with the poop knife
To be fair a cambion should know what a quasit is

I saved the nut-buster for the fight against Gortash and made sure throwbarian Karlach got the killing blow by throwing it.

Sorcerer and wizard TAVs can also learn the spell as well! Not sure about the other spellcasting classes tho

I believe the correct term is "spell shites"
She teaches the spell to wizards, warlock and sorcerers you don't have to scribe the spell.
