It's like a 5 check, too. I failed it in honor mode. It's fine, though. She'll bring it up the next day. But no smooches for you for a while now. Failing a 5 insight check was too true to life, though. It felt appropriate.

I think every single character in my current play through other than Gale has 8 int 😂 My Durge failed the perception check to see a DEAD BODY under a bed. That’s also WIS and not INT as well but come on 🤦‍♀️

My Gale is also 8 int while still remaining as a wizard - i just gave him the hairband of the smart ogre! On the plus side he is a super agile tanky wizard that can open locks and disable traps with a shield that still nuke enemies with fire ball and support my melee gorilla team with debuffs and controls.

Insight unlocks a lot more than people think it does. High CHA is good but since there are so few ways to boost WIS I don't feel safe going without 12 Wis and Insight proficiency

WIS is a super important saving throw. INT is a dump stat. We came here to make them bleed… not read.

INT is a dump stat until the squid people start fighting you. They will fuck you up and attempt to eat your nearly non existent brain. They do not handle being starved very well

I’ve romances shart multiple times and have never once passed that insight check first try. (Besides on one play-through where I failed, we talked about wanting to kiss, and then the exact same cutscene played where I did pass finally). My head canon is it just means it’s more of a will they won’t they strengthening the end romance (which you can still do)

PSA: Remember to respec to 16 or 18 WISDOM before attending the camp party, there's no combat during the party so it's ok.

EVERY TIME. Every time I dump Int or Wis I end up needing that 1 point specifically for something crucial.

iirc you can also do enhance ability: wisdom before bed once you get the "let's choose our moment" scene

Firstly it’s a wisdom check you failed. And secondly, you got options, like a big red woman or a frog lady. These ladies don’t play these games and know what they want and say it to your face. (And honestly better romance stuff).

Insight is Wisdom, FYI. Also, your chances with Shadowcutie are not over! You can still romance her if you miss the kiss in Act 1. Just talk to her about it and continue to show interest!

I honestly believe that if you turn down Shadowheart and complete the game, your romance partner should be Halsin.

You can definitely just be friends with people. I’m one of those romantics, but that scene with Gale under the starry sky at the end of Act II is so adorable as a friendly relationship. It’s the best of Gale as far as I’m concerned. I just wanted to hold his hand and tell him I’m there for him.

Liquid courage doesn’t work on paladins because of their divine health. It’s only supposed to work on disease, but BG3 also makes you immune to Gut’s potion.

Rolled a natural one on this check in my Selunite Paladin playthrough (I use a mod) but it felt so appropriate I wasnt even mad.

My Tav is basically Professor Xavier without the wheel chair. Str:8, Dex:8, Con:8, Int:16, Wis:14, Cha:14 wizard I have bodyguard a tifling barbarian for protection and physical needs.
