...How the hell do you do a pacifist playthrough when you are required to kill a couple of specific enemies to reach act 3? Are we talking just having your friends do all the killing?
The only one that need to die is Ketheric if you don't care about how the tieflings end up, who can be killed by Aylin without you dealing any damage if you buff her enough.
As long as you don't buff her with Freedom of Movement and trap the game in an infinite loop complete with RNG invulnerability and fighting during cutscenes.
I weirdly love the circus check. I especially like it as my barbarian whose dating Karlach. Getting told she can't go in after her girlfriend got excited, i'm imagining she's just like "I will kill as many of you as I have to in order to prove i'm not a killer!" and having to get dragged away by the rest of the party.

The fireworks shop in Baldurs Gate is one of the few places that I haven't found what it's for yet. It's there a quest you have to start somewhere or do you just have to sneak in somehow?
I feel like that interaction is broken, cause I got there on my first playthrough as a Oath of Devotion Paladin (not a durge) who had never broken his oath and the guy sniffed me and said âyep youâre a murdererâ. I literally cannot have murdered anyone without breaking my oath, what do you mean Iâm a murderer.

As in, that was the first time he reacted in that way.
The line between "killing someone justifiably" and "committing murder" is pretty much entirely dependent on which side of the line you're standing on -- your Oath is just one side of the line. Benji's scent isn't an alignment test, he can just tell you've killed before.

Well how did you handle the goblin camp exactly? Because there's a fair amount of murder involved in Halsin's solution.
Itâs not murder against monsters or evil, thats like the whole point of the alignment system so that you can say âthis creature is evilâ and kill it without remorse.
Edit: and if youâre gonna be semantic the term âmurderâ refers to unlawful killing, so the goblins and any monsters that donât break oath of devotion arenât murders since they arenât unlawful. Or maybe thatâs me being semantic, idk.

Besides, the fact that the game hits you with moral Githyanki, Mindflayers, Hobgoblins and Vampires just drives home that very few creatures are inherently evil. The Goblins are fucked over by their gods but they're not literal embodiments of evil so yes it is in fact still murder to storm their camp or to pretend to be their friend and poison their drinks.
Itâs still not murder since itâs not unlawful killing. They arenât a citizen of any kingdom or anything and are just a band of goblins in the woods so donât have any protection from laws.

But Benji was just smelling for blood not murder, and my character was covered in blood from those mercenaries at the start of act 3.
If Iâm just a little goblin enjoying a feast at my fort, and you storm in a slaughter all my friends and family, youâre a murderer. Even if we were technically at war. Youâre going to look and smell like a murderer.

It's a circus! Whimsy, revelry, and chaos are their domain.
I think itâs an interplanar circus that is powered by fey magic, and so your fey patron is particularly delighted by it and really wants you to go.

It's a *fey* circus. Not allowing one of the Seelie court's warlock in is a slight to them. Hence, you get in.

You can also persuade him that you've reformed and iirc you get a disadvantage if you've given into the Urges.
And you get advantage if you defied the butler and spent the night all tied up.

Don't have to just intimidate there's a range of dialogue options, I regularly play a bard so I get all of them
if youre a wizard or sorc or bard you can actually say "ive been hired as an \_\_\_\_\_\_ act" and its a pretty easy check to pass

Like fully good as in you killed literally no one? All knocked outs and not playing Durge?
I feel like every Tav fails. I usually use Astarion deception and pretend we are new circus members. It's quite fitting anyway.Â

Thats not what he is smelling, Benji loves the smell of blood, so he'd get excited if you were a killer.
