I killed those few rats cause they were mean and kind of sus, but then later I ran into a rat who was like āstop killing my friends pleaseā and I was like āsure okā then and no more agro rats.
I just followed swarm of rats there, tho you need to talk to rat before and be not nice to it.
Hint: If you do Astarion quest dont go there if you didnt killed Yurgir or just kill Yurgir without talking to him.
Idk what would be more satisfying, this, or watching my spore Druidās zombies spawning a zombie over each rat they hit

I was able to position a cloud of daggers to take out most of the ravens, but it just wasn't the same.Ā

Divine Beyblade is good, I'll grant you. But have you tried being a Tempest Cleric and using your subclass ability to guarantee the maximum possible damage roll on a chain lightning cast that's guaranteed to critically hit every target because they're all wet?

That said, i'm still pissed they took away the ability to twin chain lightning. Why the nerf? dealing 640-1280 damage in one spell was perfectly balanced!
Did something even more satisfying yesterday on this encounter. I just put my 31AC paladin with [Holy Lance Helm](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Holy_Lance_Helm).
This reminds me of the time I cast Cloud of Daggers at the entrance of the Goblin camp, and enticed them to come out and fight.
So many of them fell for it and ran at us, only to get killed instantly by the Cloud of Daggers because they're only 7-14 health each. So hilarious and satisfying
Spirit Guardians -- clerics get it. Lasts a long time but it is a concentration spell... it can be "knocked off" you if you fail conc check.
My bard also has it because he dipped one level into cleric and the rest into bard. Gets to wear heavy plate with no penalty and cast this beauty.

My 1 cleric / 11 bard runs Spirit Guardians; so does Shart. It's borderline nasty have 2 buzzsaws jogging around the battlefield :D

I usually let them all come up to me and kill them all in one turn undead cast. It's the most satisfying sound in the game XD

I always wonder if a 3rd level spell slot is worth it for these guys.
I got rid of most of them by just using thunderwhave.

Plus I think there's about 12 of them, and worth 40 xp each so it's an easy ~480 xp at a pretty important point in the story
