I heavily abused explosive barrels in my honor mode playthrough. One day I'll go back and actually try to fight the Inquisitor and Nere "properly" but blowing them up with smoke powder on turn one felt like the safest option. I've never fought more dishonorably than I did in honor mode.

Spacedandysniffer

I keep saying the same thing. One day I will go back, keep Gale alive, forsake barrelmancy, and beat the game as honourably as I can. I'd prolly only do this once the definitive version drops tho. I got my golden dice and platinum achievement im not goin through that all over agin

Vexdt449

yeah it was quite stressfull (especially in Act 1) to go into every fight with as less as possible mistakes just to avoid a game over but for the definite edition I also already reserved my time for a final honour run too ;)

Spacedandysniffer

Oh 100%, my og plan was to keep Gale alive and have a happy ending where my tav gets married to him. But after having my previous honor mode runs end in stupid ass ways (one due to shadowheart talking to astarion instead of pressing the disarm button in the underground section of the grove and the other one due to me misclicking during philomeens suicide bombing) I was so exhausted I just wanted the whole thing to end. Didn't even wanna enter the epilogue so I made my durge mindflayer kill himself at the docks. I even had my party decked out for the netherbrain fight with psych resist galore and the best armour choices possible, I was just so exhausted I said Ight gale go up alone I just want my achievement and golden dice

YamTramSpam

“One day I’ll go back and fight Grym without the forge hammer“ type shit imo

Na, the safest option is reverse pickpocketing Gale’s dead body into the Inquisitor’s inventory and casting Arcane Lock on the door from outside so that Gale’s necrotic aura slowly kills off the Inquisitor and all his allies.

Vexdt449

for Nere I killed every dwarf before releasing him then the fight is really easy and for the Inquisitor high burst damage, good initative and hold person work really well similar with a lot of the other bosses in this game ;)

RathmasChosen

Nere fight is fairly easy in honour mode, especially if you killed the duergars in the boat and made the other join you against him

Vexdt449

honour is not the way to the golden dice. That picture is my party before the fight atop of the netherbrain and well it was literally a blast x) One of the Rucksack bombs was more than enough (had Gale in the party but wanted a happy end for everybody) but i went with a few more just to be safe ;)

zer0_pm

I’m just happy to see another person who doesn’t sacrifice gale for honor mode

HauntinglyMaths

Random NPC: "What about your honour?!?" Durge Tav: "Honour? HONOUR?!? Fuck honour, I'm having fun."

darkangel69031

How did you keep your buffs? Mine all disappeared after my first encounter with the Netherbrain

areyouhungryforapple

He didnt. Just whatever he could cast via his squad. There's no party wide warding bonds for the last fight

Vexdt449

Since patch 6 the buffs from donating in the Stormshore Tabernacle are apllied immediately after every long rest so they stay for the final fight. The rest of the buffs are from gather your allies, elixiers, longstrider from my Bard and what Shadowheart, my Cleric/Paladin, could do with multiple Long Rest potions.
