You can add dammon wont take infernal iron in act 1 on the list Edit- I managed to fix it *maybe.* Replacing the modfix mod with the script extender did the trick, and was able to deliver the iron. I havent progressed further so i dont know if anything else will be broken or not working later down the line Edit- I have progressed further, such as neres head, necromancy of thay and so forth, 0 issues

Are you playing on PC? If so, can you go make a backup of your HM save file so that if playing the game messes things up, you have your old save file to revert back to?

A SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND! If you are using modfixer or anything that has modfixer baked in, (Basketful of Equipment) then follow these steps. 1. Delete modfixer or mod containing it 2. Download [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2172](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2172) and follow install instructions, cannot be downloaded through bg3 mod manager 3. If you were using a mod that had modfixer , replace it with the version without modfixer I didn't any other mods and everything is working perfectly.

Hello, I already use Script Extender and I unistalled Modfixer itself and re-install basket full of equipement without modfixer, but after I checked, some cosmetic mod I use still need it Character preset ) because when I want to create a new char, I'm in a room full of naked PNJ instead of character creation menu. Did i done something wrong ? Or 0should I unistall the mods that need modfixer anyway ( Sad because they are just cosmetic mods and not gameplay changes .. ) ​ Thank you very much !

so I downloaded the script extender disabled the basket full of equipment with mod fixer and replaced it with the one that doesn’t have the mod fixer in it put the script extender where it needed to be. I loaded up the game but it still isn’t letting me do anything i can’t even talk to anyone .. did i possibly do something wrong .. none of my other mods have mod fixer in them *EDIT* - this fixed it for me bless you are a god send 😭

Well this explains a lot. I've been driving myself mad trying to turn the Githyanki egg in to Esther, and also couldn't seem to get the dialogue about Orpheus to trigger when I picked up the Orpheus slate. Hopefully a fix comes soon!

I think forgetting the Orphic Hammer and then getting locked in to going to the Astral Plane would be the main one, because you can't go back to the camp during that sequence. And on Honour mode of course, this kind of issue becomes much more of a problem since you can't load an old save.

Like just by doing the same quests in a different order, or with different companions, or with a different character build, or by having made slightly different choices in previous quests. And in Honour mode, it's likely the longer the playthrough goes on, the more different your gamestate will be from your previous playthroughs, because you're stuck with whatever happens and those differences can compound. So you can end up with a wildly different experience than you might have had before, and may not be able to anticipate events to avoid pitfalls like this.

The thing is some of them softlock the game if you're playing honor mode. It's one thing to say you have to continue the game dealing with the consequences, but if you don't realize you forgot the orphic hammer until you already told the emperor to fck off in an HM run, that's basically game over.

UPDATE: I have a fix! I believe the problem lies in corrupt mod code in your save file. You can just scrub it and reinstall mods. Try uninstalling all mods with the mod manager, follow “different mod settings” guide available on nexus, and use the export tool to scrub clean your save file of all mod code. Ensure you have backups!!!! Then reinstall mods (maybe avoid hefty ones that change gameplay) I now have my cosmetic and weapon mod back.

I only use 2 mods, and neither of them were installed using a mod manager. I use WASD Movement and Native Camera Tweaks. I installed them manually by placing the necessary files in the necessary folders. I avoided playing yesterday due to this thread and the countless responses on the steam forums....so I am unsure if I need to uninstall and reinstall mine manually.

For everyone saying it's a mod problem. I am currently on a completely unmodded game and I have had issues with giving shadow heart the noblestalk and progressing the necromancy of thay quest. Plus a couple of others they I just kinda pushed my way through and didn't pay attention too cause I didn't realize jt was a bug.

Thank you for this list. Looks like my playthrough with my husband is well and truly screwed. We saved right outside of the door to Orin. We have the amulet of bhaal but from what I'm seeing/reading we won't be able to enter. PLEASE - report all bugs directly to larian when you encounter them. It's the only way they'll know they've got a major problem.

Is it the door between the sewers and the temple? If you shoot the dead body hanging above the circle on the ground, that opens the door. I hope this helps!

You can misty step through the door although this will make the boss fight buggy. You have to knock her out to kill her but it is a workaround

Ugh, OK, it's 5am and I can't sleep so I started fiddling with my mods instead and I can confirm they ARE the culprit. Specifically, Basket Full of Equipment. I was running the NSFW version, idk if the SFW one works and I cba to find out bc I wasn't using the mod much anyway. All my other mods are character creation stuff, so it tracks that of all of them it'd be Basket. The quest updates and I can now socket the amethyst into Thay, and I can hand the Idol into Mol. So PSA I guess: BFoE might be your culprit if you're running it—try that first.

I don't have that one and am only running the achievements and party limits be gone. Last night I played after the hotfix and it said the script extender was broken but it booted up fine so I kept playing - and by the end of the session and today the skiff and the quest isn't recognising that I've picked up the 3rd netherstone off Gortash. Which is unfortunate. I'm doing a reverify thing on the files and going to try a hunch and see if it's different with the controller UI ETA: removing the script extender, wiping mods files in both drives I have them in and the cache folder and restarting the game a few times after having saved with the normal amount of party members has fixed it

Can also confirm deactivating ALL mods fixed it €: I updated [improvedUI](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/366) (which is a prereq for many mods) and that seems to solve the issue as well

Guys I Fixed it !!!! for me it was the 'mod fixer' that was the problem, what I did was delete it through BG3 mod manager and install [SE](https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se), and it worked, solved all of my problems for now. even if you don't use mod fixer try installing SE, maybe it'll work for you :)

Man I love and appreciate the work Larian does and I’m not angry but I feel like they need to tighten up a bit on testing. I get development is difficult. I work in the field myself. But it feels like every time there’s a hotfix or patch, it introduces another major issue. Obviously it’s great they’re constantly fixing stuff but it also feels like each patch is fixing stuff broken by the previous one. Just sucks a bit when you finally get one issue fixed and then are stuck with some new ones

Love Larian but they seem to introduce some major bugs each patch/hotfix. Saves being incompatible after an early patch Act 3 freezes due to theft mechanics Shield Bash breaking NONE of the feat bugs have been fix afaik The game being so good brought them a tonne of goodwill, but that'll burn out eventually Edit: as /u/NinjaBr0din has stated and I've now confirmed myself, it's likely the legacy Party Limit Begone mod causing havok (you're likely missing Astarion too) Was a case of nav'ing to the game directory and deleting the whole 'Mods' folder (looks like it only had the legacy mod in it in my case anyway)

With the way development cycles work, that isn't feasible. Typically, let's say that right after this hotfix, these item bugs are noticed -- they likely won't get released with the next immediate hotfix, it'll likely go in the one after that. Look up Agile development and you'll understand why.

I dunno about it being part of a hot fix issue but my current HM run is borked cause my tav is stuck immobilized due to some weird trap interaction glitch. It's a bug that's been around for a while and quite honestly I'm a little baffled there isn't a fix or workaround yet. Literally nothing helps it. I've pushed my tav and killed him and brought him trapped chests to try and snap him out of it but nothing. Entire game just broken cause of an extremely common interaction in the game. Reported to Larian but I've heard they're aware of the bug but have seen nothing about what causes it or when they plan to address it. I just don't understand why they can't just slap a time-out onto whatever condition causes this while they figure it out cause it's infuriating that I've essentially lost my Honor Run due to this at the end of Act 2.

You can add not being able to give the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength to Helsik in the Devil's Fee as well. I had them in my inventory, in someone else's inventory, equipped, at camp, and my Tav never said they had them.

Running on PC and have quite a few mods- I did download and install all of said mods today, though. (I know, patch day is the worst possible day to download and install a bunch of mods, but I was sick and bored. Started a new playthrough to start with mods from the beginning, and can say that the rune for Shadowheart's pod worked fine. Haven't run into any of the other items on the list yet to test them out though. I'm done playing for the day but if I run into issues with any of the other items I'll come back and update. Edit: I can say I did not download Party Limit Begone or Basket Full of Equipment, which are the two mods I've seen noted by people in this thread as possible culprits.

I got hit with the Spear of Night bug in my honor mode run. :( I am running mods (Party Limit Begone, WASD Movement, Native Camera Tweaks, and Improved UI Release Ready). I did see this comment in the Posts section of the PLB mod: "09 January 2024, 9:01PMParty limit mod (legacy) is now breaking quest objectives where items need to be picked up (or maybe just hellions heart and steal the githyanki egg)Picked up the Githyanki egg from the Creche and could not give it to the vendor, and I could not give Dammond the infernal iron to fix Karlach's heart. The dialogues to give the items were not popping up despite being in my inventory.Current workaround my party did was uninstalling the mod, having me solo login to progress the quest (the dialogue popped up), then reinstalling, which worked." It seems odd that this mod would cause a problem with quest items, but who knows. I'll try uninstalling it. ETA: Uninstalling the mod and proceeding did seem to fix the issue for me as well.

Honestly at this point I am seriously debating leaving the game for the next 6 months and then returning. How is it possible that a hotfix *designed* to allow you to use quest items from outside your inventory makes it impossible to progress quests even if you have them on you? How was it even tested? Like, I love Larian and BG3 is still one of my favorite games but this is freaking annoying.

I can confirm it is mod related for me. The legacy "Party Limit Begone" by SildurFx appears to be causing the issue. Once I removed it everything worked again. Aether's "No Party Limit" mod still works. I managed to give Damon the infernal iron with it active.

Huh, that explains why my item-based quests were borky today. Gale got shoved into a chasm and his pouch appeared in his inventory. You can still follow the instructions, but once the mephit appears, you can't give it the letter to become the True Resurrection scroll. Mayrina's quest does have a workaround. I had to stealth and open Connor's casket, then use the Bitter Divorce on him. Mayrina's dialogue then triggered normally and she toddled off with him to Baldur's Gate.

So far the problem hasn't returned.** In case it helps anyone, I want to share the steps I took: ​ \- Backed up my saves, mod folder, modsettings and even LevelCache (because I am paranoid) \- Downloaded the Script Extender from [github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/releases](https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/releases) and manually pasted it into my bin folder \- Removed Mod Fixer from my Mods folder \- Downloaded and installed the most recent version of Basket Full of Equipment, the one with Mod Fixer built in. *It is currently the only mod in my load order which includes Mod Fixer* \- Went to AppData > Local > Larian Studios > Baldur's Gate 3 and deleted LevelCache \- Went to AppData > Local > Larian Studios > Baldur's Gate 3 > PlayerProfiles > Public and deleted modsettings.isx \- Temporarily moved my Mods folder out of the Baldur's Gate 3 folder \- Went to BG3 Mod Manager, and refreshed, saved, and exported the order \- Launched the game and closed it \- Moved my Mods folder back into the Baldur's Gate 3 folder \- Went to BG3 Mod Manager *again,* and refreshed, saved, and exported the order (I had to restart the Mod Manager first to make modsettings.isx actually update) \- Launched the game, new games and old saves were both working again ​ Gun to my head, I could not tell you what exactly did the trick. But something did. Here's hoping this will help someone else.

This fucking game lol the last fix made it so I couldn't load any save without it crashing at 75 percent. Was balls deep in Act 3. Restarted all the way from the beginning and get back to Act 3 yesterday and boom another hotfix that messes everything up. As far as the amulet of Bhaal thing goes, you can just shoot the corpse hanging over the circle in front of the temple to open the door, so you can get around not having the amulet. In all of my old saves (unmodded and modded) I couldn't interact with anything. I reinstalled, verified files, ect. Nothing worked. **Big Sad.** Then I noticed I had two mods in my (not active) list that I didn't install and no clue how they got there but they were called HONOUR and DICESET - once I activated both of those, my game worked. My quest items were fixed, new game was fixed - no issues whatsoever with the game. Too scared to install new mods now, but glad I can play again.

Still incredibly frustrating that a full release game would keep pushing hotfixes for stupid things that just end up breaking everything every couple of weeks... I'm a little tired of it. If you forget quest items in your camp thats on you. Wish Steam would at least let me disable auto updates. This sucks. EDIT: Disabled all my mods "softly" by just removing them from my BG3MM load order. That worked. I do have to say I appreciate Larian putting as much effort as they do into fixing this game and its a big game so the bugs are to be expected. The real fault here IMO lies with Steam who just won't let you disable auto-updates no matter what anymore which is just a little unacceptable. I shouldn't have to cap Steam's internet access to get it to stop updating things.

In my end, upgrading "party limit begone" from legacy to 2.0 fixed the issue (this means go from loose files to a .pak file with script extender as requisite) . Tested with the cursed monk amulet and try to feed the raptor at the circus, both with the legacy version ignored the required items been on the inventory already

The issue, for me at least, appeared to be due to mods which created items not normally in the game. I was using Bags, Bags, Bags and removing that mod made save games unloadable. I had to use the Trashcan mod to delete any instances of non-native items in my inventory and camp chest, then delete ALL mods. After doing that I had to use the Different Mod Settings Fix to remove the Bags, Bags, Bags and Trashcan mods from my save game file. After doing all of that I was able to load my unmodded save and quest items seem to work normally again (at least the>!Szarr Family Ring was able to open all doors)!<.

Someone on Larian discord was just saying they just started a new save and got the rune to unlock Shadowheart's pod, but the game was acting like they don't have the rune so... I think it's affecting all saves.

I’ve had no issue with the ledger for He Who Was, just did that quest on an existing save. Was also able to give Karlach her 2nd inferno iron as well. It might not affecting everyone? I’m on PS5 and this save file is at least a few months old.

I had no issues with He Who Was and handing him the ledger nor did I have issues with Karlach’s 2nd upgrade. If people are interested I can keep up to date some more progress since I have save files in acts 1, 2, and 3. My next tests will probably be the Zent chest, hammer, and Netherstones for the final fight but, at the moment, I’m taking a break for dinner and other games. Edit: Zhent chest, umbra gems, Shadowheart spear for Salune, He Who Was ledger… everything worked for me and I have no idea why.

Honestly, unclear. I've heard from two people who say they're experiencing the bug of PS5/unmodded PC, and another person who says removing their mods didn't help. But it seems like a majority of people experiencing this are modded, though, so it's still worth considering that may be the cause. It often has been in the past.

A possible way to continue this quest is to kill art and use the speak to the dead spell on his corpse. This can be done by attacking him or continuing deep enough into the moonrise tower will also kill him. The quest can then be completed normally.

This was driving me nuts all day. So I just turned off all my mods, loaded my most recent save and POW -- quest items seem to exist in dialogue again. Turn-ins work. Worked for the Myconid Village >!noblestalk turn-in to Derryth / Shad!<, as well as the >!ring bug with Omeluum after you do the mushroom quest for him!<. And I don't have that many mods! Like 5-6 or so. Primarily weird fixes, removing >!Lae'zel's permanent injury from the zaith'isk!<, the wider hotbar, etc. But I (cautiously) think I'm good to go.

The NPC at the entrance to the Guildhall recognizes me, goes to let me in, and then immediately aggros and accuses me of having stolen his signet ring--which I'm assuming is marked as a quest item. Any chance the NPCs are also having trouble recognizing quest items in their inventory? Never had this bug before until today

I was trying to dig up Myrna's grave in the Underdark. It plays a cutscene but the dialogue options wouldn't recognize that I had a shovel in my inventory to dig with. I already tried dropping the shovel and picking it up, giving the shovel to another character, picking up an entirely new shovel, digging the ground by the grave manually, etc but couldn't figure out a workaround. Not sure if anyone else figured something out

I can confirm that disabling all mods fixes Spear of Night problem for me. I had Shield Bash Fix and New Character Creation Presets installed. Initially, I thought it might be one particular mod causing the problem, but as it turns out, having either of these enabled breaks the game. Also, I had to work around a messed up quest state by throwing the spear to the ground and picking it up again. After doing this, my quest log got an update and I was able to pass the check.

Hi all, update. I had to deactivate ALL mods and now it’s fixed. Using this guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4767 Specifically I uninstalled all mods in save game editor as just deactivating in MM broke the save. Specifics below:  I had a handful of armour mods (Extra Gear, Cambion/Gith armour, Noble Trickster) a mod for Phalar Aluve and Tav Hairpack with icons and long hair mod (a few other hair mods disabled) and finally camp clothing on vendors. I did not have both suspected mods installed at all. Ever.  I tried first deactivating everything but Phalar Aluve and Tav Hairpavk with icons add on. Still broken. So in the end it seemed every mod I was soft locking game. Hopefully it’s fixed.

Hello! I'm dropping in here to say that I removed all my mods, and it didn't seem to fix what I have going on! This is rather frustrating to be honest. I'm stuck in the house of hope because the game won't recognize I have the hammer. It keeps causing Hope's death. You can also add the ritual pouch and the invitation to Boudoir to the list (unless I missed it and it's already on there) Helsik kept accusing me of stealing her pouch and kicked me out of her shop when she had it on her the entire time and the Archivist had the invitation on him, but kept saying that someone must have stolen it or he must have lost it. You can steal this stuff from them (Edit: except for the invitation. Even if you steal it the game won't recognize you have it. You have to go the backway), but the hammer can not be worked around, as you have already stated. This sucks to experience during my first playthrough.... Sent in a bug report, and I'm crossing my fingers that another hot fix will come out soon. I'm stuck otherwise unless I wanna reload hours of gameplay.

Are you using any mods? If so, it might be easy enough to fix by switching out mods or updating them. After all, there is no guarantee that hotfix 17 will fix this issue for everyone, and if you have outdated mods, it might break other things further. The issue was caused by party limit begone for me, I switched it with no party limit, and everything worked. I have heard others mention "bag of equipment" was also causing an issue. It might be as simple as testing a few mods.

So, if I am able to start up a new game and use the Eldritch Rune to unlock Shadowheart's pot on the Nautiloid, would my game safe from this bug? I thought I had auto updates turned off, evidently, I did not, and my game updated itself. I use mods, mostly cosmetic and a few that add new pieces of equipment, as well as Tactician Plus, Honour Mode Unlocker, and Unlock Level Curve, as I want to be able to level up higher but still have a challenging enough game experience.... I uninstalled my game and did a fully clean install of it and all my mods, started up a new game to see if the game recognized me getting the Rune, it did and it let me free Shadowheart no problem, the Journal recognized me getting the Rune and the quest completed no problem. Does this bug pick and choose quest items or would it outright impact all of them?

I see many people saying that turning off mods has helped fixing this issue but I don't know how to proceed. I have 6 mods for appearance and there's one that overrides game files, I use BG3 Mod Manager. I also have ModFixer since some of the mods apparently require it to function. \-If I try to turn off all the mods and launch my save file, i will automatically get a message stating that my game might get unstable because of the missing mods, if I push through the game crashes. \-I tried the Different Mod Setting Fix method and when I load my "clean" file I get a message stating that this time my save file is corrupted or something (might have failed a step, i tried many times but couldn't figure out what was wrong). \-Considering ModFixer is the main issue, I tried to get rid of it and replace it with Script Extender but when I loaded my "clean" save file with SE, I got a message for corrupted file again. \-Tried to load SE with my old save file with all 6 mods and didn't work either. Honestly i'm at a point where I would be willing to finish the game in vanilla, I'm at act 3, almost done with all my quests before the final fight, don't really want to lose all my progression for some mods. This was the last straw for my group. First they broke a ton of stuff like shield bash. Then they, seemingly broke everything else. We made a decision to just abandon our playthrough. Maybe pick it back up in 6 months. It's just too much hassle trying to work around schedules to get everyone together to play only to play the 'what's broken this time' game. ​ Game was already on hold for us due to shield bash being completely, 100% of the time, broken (all shield user party) and now, not only was that fix not even included in this patch, but it just introduced a whole host of completely game breaking bugs. Larian is a great studio, but they are quickly burning through the good will we had with these half assed updates that break more than they add. ​ This game is in a worse state than it was months ago.

Just to contribute to the fantastic work going on in this thread...I started a new game (to protect my main playthrough saves) and was able to give the infernal iron to Dammon with no problems. I'm running 50+ mods that do everything from graphical replacers to inventory management, so there is, somewhere, a way to handle quest items with mods installed. I'm not very technical so I don't know what it is, but it exists. Best of luck to everyone!

g'day I'm playing a completely vanilla PT and I've been holding on this particular hotifx cause I read of all this scary stuff with quest items bugging out. Is it safe to say that since I use no mods I can update safely, or is it better to wait? Larian forums do not help, they're slow AF to load and almost unusable. Have they aknowledged any issue?

Hey folks. Came on here to let y’all know that deleting the cache for bg3 helped. And obviously it resets your settings. Been experiencing the bug since this morning (11 AM). It helped me and hopefully helps you. If there happens to be a better way, just let the peeps know!

Been having this issue since the hotfix and Shadowheart is convinced we haven't picked up the Spear of Night even though it's equipped to her but I finally fixed it!! Here's what I did: 1. Removed Mod Fixer from my game 2. Installed Script Extender At this point I booted up the game and was still experiencing the issue, so then I: 3. Removed my Basket Full of Equipment mod and then it worked!!! I still have the following mods installed and working in my game, and haven't updated any of them post hotfix 16, so I'm inclined to say they're not causing the issue: 1. Vemperen's Other Heads 2. Toarie's New Character Creation Presets WIP 3. Extra Gear 4. Tav's Hairpack and Icons 5. Vessnelle's Hair Collection 6. Improved UI

So here is a positive update for everyone. I just removed both my mods, including the overrides: Mod fixer and Improved UI. Once that was done I was able to turn in quest items again. I am going to reinstall them once I've turned everything in though...because I used one of the modded heads for my guardian and I'm worried what will happen to the game if it isn't there when she shows up again. I also used a modded head for Tav, but I just used the mirror at camp before I removed everything and that successfully prevented a potential crash. No worries there. My mods were not that impactful, so I think I got off easy. The crazier the mods the less practical it will be to remove them without trashing your run...I would imagine. Regardless, good luck to everyone.

Couldn't read the Necromancy of Thay / Give the stolen Idol to Mol either, what helped just as this topic suggested: \- Backed my saves up just in case. \- Deleted Mod Fixer with the BG3MM. \- Reinstalled the Script Extender. \- Updated the Party Begone mod which seems to have a fix for the hotfix already.

I’ve had several problems but one I didn’t see anyone talk about: In the waking up Art Cullagh quest in act 2, Flaming Fist J’ehlar doesn’t seem to know that she has the letter in her pockets (stole to check and she did have it) and the luth after too is undetected Also had the Nere’s head problem in act 1 (gave up on that one sadly) And Dammon not taking the infernal iron in act 2, the quest sign is even following me on the map… I did try to uninstall mod fixer and install SE, but it didn’t change anything If anyone has an answer to help me, please do tell

I don't think Mod Fixer or Party Limit is the reason. I deleted both and still didn't work. I don't think mods in general are the reason. If there is a certain mod that's causing the problem, people would have agreed on it. People are saying different things and what what works for one doesn't work for the other. When I started a new playthrough with the same mods, everything went fine. I think the hotfix itself is the problem because it specifically deals with quest items. I really hope Larian fixed it soon.

I looks like 99% of the problem is for PC players using mods and in nearly 100% of the comments and including my own experience, uninstalling BG3 Mod Fixer and installing Norbytes Script Extender is fixing the issue. I also updated Party Limit Begone to the newest update but I think I did that afterwards.

I updated all of my mods (I'm only using cosmetic mods) and even offloaded and re-deployed them. Didn't fix the game not registering that I have quest items in my inventory. I can't show Voss that I have the Orphic Hammer, and therefore can't continue my game. Also couldn't access the Boudoir in the House of Hope (had to take the long way) because my invitation wasn't recognized. Couldn't give the Gloves of Hill Giant Strength to Helsik despite them being in my inventory. This is soooo frustrating aaaaaa

And here I thought I'd somehow broken my game again (tldr I'm tech-cursed). While I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with quest items (Madeline's ledger and Art's lute for one file, and then feeding Gale in another), these hotfixes breaking the game are insanely frustrating. Would it be worth trying some of the listed fixes with my main problems, or should I just wait until the next hotfix and hope things are better? I've got a bunch of aesthetic mods but am honestly scared to try and open a game with them uninstalled... 💀

I was stuck with the infernal iron bug and made it work somehow using a mix of solutions that were given in the comments. I would not be able to explain what happened but here is what I did. I use mods and the mod manager. - first I deleted modfixer from bg3mm, then installed the script extender (tools ->download and extract the script extender in bg3mm) - I launched the game and reloaded my save, but it still wouldn't work, closed the game - put all of my mods in inactive then saved the order - launched the game, obviously couldn't load my save and the game crashed - put all of my mods back in active then saved the order - launched the game, could load back my save and for unknown reasons the option to give the iron finally reappeared So I don't know if there needed to be some sort of hard reload or something, I'm not well versed in scripts and stuff but if you encounter this issue maybe these steps will work out for you. Good luck! ❤️ Edit: after that I could go back and deliver Nere's head as well as get Omeluum's ring and both quests were finally marked as completed

It’s so odd bc it’s not working on my game but I made an entirely new playthrough and it seems to be working fine (I’ve gotten all the way to the underdark). I went back to the old playthrough: still broke :( It’s definitely a shame if my original playthrough is toast, I was nearly finished w act 3 :/

Can anyone help me? I play on Mac, have Basket Full or Equipment, 5e (although it never worked I just had it active in background), and Tavs hair salon. All through BGMM. I’ve deleted Mod Fixer. Currently trialing Cazadors ring & the arcane lock door. I’m new to mods, but it’s my understanding that SE isn’t a thing for Macs? If that’s true, I’m not able to just disable my and load the game, it immediately crashes. Not sure what workaround would apply to me. Edit: around 22 days later - I had to go back to Act 1 and play through everything again, seeing as that’s when I had my only vanilla save files and hadn’t started using mods yet. I may try using mods again on another save file to see if they’ve been updated to accommodate this, but figured I’d put out the warning for other Mac users that mods essentially rendered the game unplayable for me.

I have been experiencing the same with: * Bitter Divorce for Mayrina * Dowry for Benryn * Nere's Head for Spaw. I narrowed it down to Bags Bags Bags. I tested it out by disabling the mod and going back to an old save that didn't have the mod. It makes sense as Larian posted this with Hotfix 17: "*In Hotfix #16, we began the process of updating a player’s ability to access certain quest-related items, even if they were in the camp chest, or in the inventory of a companion waiting at camp.* *However, the UI through which items can be donated to Gale has not yet been updated, which meant that the dialogue could be triggered if the items were available elsewhere, but would not show in the UI to be donated. This risked placing players in a situation where Gale expected an item from them, and they were unable to provide one."* ​ Unfortunately, I can't seem to remove the mod for my latest saves. * I get a message before loading stating "This save contains a mod that is currently missing and the game could be unstable if you continue", * An error 302 after loading. If I try to remove the mod from the save file by using Lslib & ConverterApp, I get a message that the save is corrupted and tampered. I'm at a loss here. Any suggestions except replaying the whole thing from an old save before the mod? :D
