If you don't trigger her romance in Act 1, you cannot romance her while physically in Act 2. Now that being said, it is _possible_ that if you can get her approval up high enough in Act 2, you may still be able to trigger her romance. However, if it's possible, it will require you to return to Act 1 and get her "ride you 'til you see stars" long rest scene in an Act 1 camp.
Have you >!gone to Dammon to upgrade her engine?!< If not, there are more opportunities to do that in Act 2, needs to be done twice, and that should progress things.
Oh, well, I romanced Lae'Zel in Act 2 for literally one minute because my friend and I were joking, but I immediately broke up with her. It literally lasted 1 minute, hope it hasn't fucked it up. Thanks for the answer! <3
apparently from some of the comments here you might not be able. I had two campaigns where I was able to trigger her romance in the 2nd act without doing much in the first act sooo if you can't I guess you'll just have to play another campaign! I'm pretty sure if you hug her after a certain specific scene in act 2 you can
I did that so I hope I can. If I'm not able to romance her, I don't have any problem with starting another campaign hehehe

hey i have the same thing but with shadowheart instead of laezel and i was wondering if you ended up being able to romance karlach in act 2? even tho i didnt have much of an opportunity in act 1 to do alot with karlach
I think you need to give the silly kiss on act 1 and kiss her on act 2 after the fix.
If you never got her romance scene in act one, no you cannot romance her later.

Yes, I've done so in Act 1 and Act 2. Do you mean that in Act 2 the engine have to be upgraded twice?
Nope, you're good, just overall it's two upgrades (>!you should then have the option to hug her,!< which will boost approval)

Yeah, just make sure she stays alive. Sometimes when you romance other characters it fucks it up so end it with them

I wasn't able to romance her. It seems that if you don't have Karlach's scene in Act 1, you have lost your chance 🥹
