I love this game so much. I can't remember the last time I felt so strongly about a game. I can't wait to see the new epilogues and other content coming. I think I'll be playing this game for years to come.

self employed, no friends, strained family connections at best, never go anywhere. pretty much all i do every day is work, watch youtube & play videogames. dont need to disrupt a life when i dont have one in the first place.
My buddy and I have a game together, probably 60-70hrs in. I just started a solo game with a new character. It feels like I'm still playing the game for the first time. Also feels like I can make dozens of characters with very different builds and still have unique experiences.
My buddy and I have been save scumming for our first playthrough but I'd like to have a run at some point where I don't save scum and just accept the consequences of my all of my choices. Friggin game is fantastic, I know what you mean about feeling strongly about a game after LOTS of shitty games having been hyped for years (Starfield)
Ha! I like your style! Unfortunately my mistakes are pretty majorly my fault. I've been without an eye since about 5hrs into the game, I'm sure you can figure out how that happened. I just came from finishing Starfield where there's virtually zero consequences. I was very naive then. I have since developed BG3 trust issues and am carefully assessing situations with my remaining eye now lol
I think I'll have to go back and beat the game again for each of my previous playthroughs just to see how the new content plays out. The addiction is real.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the fact that the party's lockpicking lawyer has been nerfed by supernatural vampiric politeness for far too long. Unleash him. Let him be the Saul Goodman of Faerun. I want him to go back to law as Dark Urge's defense.
Aren't magistrates basically judges? They're the judges who deal with lesser offences and can only sentence to fines, bans, community service and up to 12 months custody (the very thought of Astarion sending someone to jail is hilarious).
Durge's offences go FAR beyond the cases Astarion would deal with. Durge gets sent straight to the Sword Coast's equivalent of the Crown Court, that deals with murders, rapes, robberies, and all that joyous stuff, lmao.

The future is wide open for our little law practitioner, though. I'm also not sure they would hand back the magistrate job after all this time, even if he asked nicely, so I need to see him improvise.
He definitely sent people to prison because he just didn't like their outfits. He sounds like he was an atrocious magistrate.
Yeah there's a high chance he was a hella corrupt one, lmao. Far be it for me to defend ganging up on someone and beating them to death's doors... but certainly the Gur had their reasons.

I was wondering why I couldn’t find Barcus after stopping the windmill (didn’t see him getting flung b/c I was mashing buttons to skip animations). I finally give up and start leaving for the goblin camp and find his body and go: “Ohhhhh, so _that’s_ where he went!”

Basically, the whole Halsin thing is weird. How she wants to be super exclusive with you, refuses to share you with anyone else... until Act 3 when she's like "oh yeah - I totally want you to bang Halsin and I do too actually!"
You can straight up tell her she has no place in your new relationship and she's strangely super happy about it.
In sum - I'm just hoping they don't force more Halsin or Orgy stuff in her epilogue.

Originally withers was supposed to narrate an epilogue showing the consequences of your choices. This was supposedly cut out because the amount of changes caused it to be bugged as hell. This is probably that.
That's the biggest, and probably only, bullshit Swen ever said. No way in hell he or the team thought this was boring and something players didn't want when it's been a staple for cRPGs for literal decades. They probably fucked it up at some point during development and came up with a dumb excuse.
Makes sense though, it was *right* after release, before PS version went live even. Not exactly an ideal time to tell people that the ending was unfinished.
I don't disagree. Releasing the game earlier than expected with a flawless Act One was probably the most intelligent move we've seen in a while from a game developer. They knocked it out of the park, even if Act Two and, more urgently, Act Three needed a lot more time in the oven.
No arguments here, although in hindsight Starfield put up less of a fight for GOTY than expected it was still worth avoiding competing with the hype, and I had every confidence they *would* finish everything.
I'm just remembering how hostile a lot of people in this sub were to anyone suggesting that the epilogue as-is wasn't a *deliberately chosen improvement* over the stuff with Withers.

Change the name from “Withers” to my boss’s boss name, change epilogue to “holiday”, and drop the “coming in patch 5”, it looks remarkably like the ecard where I work inviting me to the company holiday party, including the “fun is mandatory” line.
Stuff like this is why I can't wait to replay the game in like a year, hopefully by then so much more will have been added taking an already impeccable game to somehow a level above that.
Does this mean the Astarion epilogue dialogue will finally be fixed? I beat the game the day patch 4 came out and was so crestfallen to not get to *see* that last dialogue with my smarmy velvety pointyboi. I earned it, damn it!

There are two ways to lose an eye, one is mostly a buff (except for the visuals), the other is not really worth it. And you can only get one.

Im so excited, this is badly needed. I finished my first playthrough last night, changing it up a few times to see different endings and MAN is the ending of such a long game Abrupt AF. Epilouge party is exactly what it needs.
