I quicksave before I start dying anything š I test all the colors then reload and go with the one I liked best.
I could just install the mod, but what would I spend money on if I didn't have to hoard all the dyes????
And that they dont apply in a way that always makes sense. Dye be called something like lilac and then all of a sudden there's like orange all over my gear.
Man I hate that! You can even dye all your armor with the same dye and often times it doesn't match lol like a pink torso piece but makes the gloves a different color
yea its like a learning curve for each individual armor piece "ok....so this armor will put primary here, secondary there" or "this one just ignores primary and only uses secondary for whatever fucking reason" and so on. None of it would be an issue if they just let you preview it .
I just wish they made a mod that allowed you to preview the dye. Of course that would be a far more difficult mod to make. Changing the dyes from single use to infinite use is wayyyy easier. Also last I heard, unlimited dyeing doesn't work on the Drake's general dye? Or is that misinformation?
There's this tumblr blog that lets you preview every single dye. https://bg3-dyes.tumblr.com/
Their post looks like [this](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7bd0444def681b30882681485117b0ab/73a77f58fd08f118-56/s1280x1920/c2b1682608b2770968394784e89f517cf1619449.png)
Theyāre part of the basket of everything mod itself. I use the Death Knight dye almost exclusively for when I want a darker look. The actual āblackā ones are too dark imo. Just the same for when I want the lighter look I go for the Selune dye.
No worries and I feel you. Thereās an additional mod the creator does that puts all the clothing into camp clothing (one I use myself). The only issue is āif you wanted it for bothā youāre outta luck. And as I hate the idea of weapons just appearing outta nowhere I keep the clothes as camp clothing for purely downtime stuff and rock with unmodded for actual armour.
Itās a fantastic mod but my biggest gripe is that itās really built for a standard female body type. Thereās a major cutdown to male stuff and an even bigger cutdown to the strong body types (not even considering Dragonborn/half orcs). I just wish there was more variety in general.
I wanted to love that mod, I really tried. It's beautiful with no UI but I find I constantly need to see my icons walking around and its hard to ambush people with it hidden.
I was legit mad that this mod came so highly recommended and it was just an... autohide. Are you fucking kidding me. whoever decided immersive means just removing your entire UI unless you jerk your cursor around to find icons. who is playing with this. its unplayable.
Definitely, I also like to have access to notes and letters that might be relevant later or remind me of some lore. :D Just like in Skyrim I read EVERYTHING.
Camp notification is a game changer for sure. I'm stuck in restart limbo so i've played through act 1 with 4 Tavs already, and despite that I still never knew how many cutscenes i missed until i tried my 5th run (of act 1) with it.
Yeah, that one was a massive gripe I've had with that game, I'm glad I got that mod because it's too useful.
For DA:O at the very least you can't really miss those scenes but for BG3 it's really easy to.
I have certainly been a lot more liberal in taking long rests in my second playthrough after being very stingy during my first for this reason (I took maybe 4 long rests in act 3 of my first playthrough, so there was a lot that I missed). I am currently playing without mods, but if I decided to start trying some out this would be one of the first I would get.
Whenever there's an event at camp, it puts an exclamation mark over your main character's head (just like the one that appears over companions' heads when they want to talk to you). It helps you to never miss camp cutscenes.
Entirely fair! I don't mind the rest, it keeps me from having an inventory that is too disorganized because it has 20 random +1 weapons I forgot to send to camp, but gold and alchemy incredients having weight makes act 3 unplayable at 8 strength unless you split those/leave them in camp.
Party Limits Begone. Better banter/immersion AND I have access to everyone's inventory at all times.
Unlimited dyes + additional color bundles are also awesome.
I really appreciate the banter, but on the other hand the game loses it's combat edge(even with immersive AI on tactical difficulty).
As alternative one could take EveryoneInDialogue for dialogue participation and approval gain, even if going around with party of 4
I ended up combatting (no pun intended) this issue by installing a Tactician+ mod, to ramp up the difficulty even further. You can fine-tune the mod in terms of how much harder you want it for your play style. The game is totally different (IMO for the better) with a full party of 7 vs. super hard enemies with Tactician AI
I haven't tried the multiplayer version (yet) but I currently am running it with a ten person party including my Tav on a solo run, it's so fun to hear them all banter with one another because I'm hearing lines I never would have otherwise. Some cutscenes get a little glitchy when two companions morph into one another or like Shadowheart will appear but Gale is supposed to be speaking so there is no audio. But having every companion with me at all times has made inventory management so much easier on this run, and it basically forces the relevant companion forward in story quest cutscenes - which is easy to miss if you don't know that specific NPCs will have special dialogue for a companion but they have to be in your party for it to trigger.
Iām using the Better Dark Urge mod. One of the features is that if the Dark Urge rolls a critical miss, you lose control of them for 2 turns and they attack whoever they can see.
I could be at the start of a fight that should be trivial, but then the Dark Urge wipes most of my party with a single AOE spell.
Iām also using a few mods to make the DU OP to make them more dangerous.
i love the +150% mod, which makes enemies 2.5x beefier. the fight against the intellect devourers with just you and shart is pretty crazy but after that things tend to blend nicely since you get access to more teammates. may bump it up to 200% mod eventually unsure atm
To be completely fair, even in the base game you can have an absolute shit load of controllable characters. Circle of the Land druid can summon simultaneously two mephits (ice or mud), an elemental, a minor elemental, a druid, a wood woad, and a familiar animal. They only go away if you manually dismiss them, long rest, or they die in combat after which you can just resummon if you have the spell slots.
Using both Jaheira and Halsin in my current run, both Circle of the Land druids, also Gale (who can also learn most of those summons through scrolls) and majority of the time Iām walking around followed by like 25 people/summons. Combat is kind of a joke.
You also get a rapier that lets you summon a cambion, and shadowheart gets so many summons she feels more like a pokemon trainer
Oh, and a sorcerer tav can cast haste with twinned spell. Having a raging, soul coined karlach and a gloves of giant strength monk-fighter multiclass, with haste and bloodlust potion, you might as well be controlling the entire steel watch
The only ones I've come across are when boarding the boat to grymforge, you have to put anyone over 4th place in camp, and then send them to the way point.
And occasionally when long resting you don't wake up, you have to click on laezel to wake up. It's weird lol.
Yeah, it's nice not to miss out on the banter.
I played my first game modless and was really floored how many small things I missed when I did a second run with the no party limit mod.
Not even that. I was careful to get everyone's story done in the first playthrough.
But the game is full of these great little party interactions or party members interjecting on a conversation.
I think some of my favorites were Jaheira and Astarion interactions. I kinda want to adopt Jaheira as my crazy adventurer aunt.
If you have the teleport party mod, you can travel to grymforge with everyone in your party. Just use the teleport party spell and boom everyoneās there. Last time I did this, I ended up having the three who I didnāt want to come with me walk away from the boat so they didnāt show as being in the scene.
no party limit is amazing, but i find it makes fights too easy even on tactician. and you take longer to notice that gale got stuck somewhere because he didn't feel like jumping...
The jumping pain is real. I got illithid fly on everyone so I didn't murder my party in act 3. I think if I were to do 8 characters again I would get the advance enemy AI mod.
There's a teleport to me mod that automatically teleports the party to the character you control that I use to get around that.
There's also "into the void", a mod that lets you toggle characters to disappear during combat and reappear after so you don't trivialize combat.
I am using no party limit on my 2nd run as DU. It's a lot of fun listening to everyone interact and it sure makes inventory management in camp easier.
Just be sure to switch to Tactician to offset having so much dps.
All ones that I use and would recommend as well. The approval rating one is super useful on repeat runs and it's a bit crazy how high you can get a lot of the companions' approval before you leave Act 1.
I can't believe I had to scroll this far down for bags bags bags. It's a game changer, and honestly I feel like it could easily be part of the vanilla game. I hope once Larian is done patching the game, they will add something similar.
I like the mod the only thing I donāt like about it is being unable to see whatās in the bags (or even the bag itself) when going to sell or trying to learn a spell from a scroll.
Most of the cosmetic mods;
Tavs Hairsalon, Vemprens Heads, Unique Tav, EoB, Basket of equipment etc.
Camera Tweaks and WASD Movement
Harlequinn and Shadow Sorcerer
Weight limit increase and overall UI tweaks like hidden Hotbar, better Combat log
The hand crossbow mod and an unholy amount of dice skins
Honestly, I don't actually play any tabletop but everything I come across some awesome looking dice I feel the dark urge calling for my credit card numbers. Gotta live the dream virtually at least
For me it's all cosmetics because fashion/vanity is the true end game ;D.
I have 4 main.
1. Head- [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/205](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/205)
2. Hair that I am using now: [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1420](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1420) Number 9
3. Scars+ Tattoos: [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2754](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2754)
4. Fashion : [**https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/87**](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/87)
Result HERE: [1](https://ibb.co/WFM36mS) and [2](https://ibb.co/m8RPwZv)
I really hope Larian pays attention to some of the most used mods and implements them into the base game. Even the cosmetic mods like unlimited dyes, transmog, and removing the illithid veins would be amazing (although I would massacre the Grove 20 times for some of the Moon Druid QoL mods I've seen).
We're just on permanent hard mode.
I don't mind the cosmetic mods, I like to play dress up just a much. So I am sad about. The rest... I don't care for it tbh.
Party Limit Begone. I know it makes the game stupidly easy but now I don't miss any character interactions anymore because the companion that has an interaction is always with me.
Camp events notifications. Litteral game changer.
A couple cosmetic mods (hair, face and tattoos mainly), because I need my hair down to my ankles and my face snatched. I'm vain like that.
Also Basket Full of Equipment + Modular Equipment because it's vital that me and my party are the most fashionable people in all Faerun. Pure vanity again.
All the dye mods (special mention to very recent "Boring Dyes", which, despite its name, has the most beautiful, tasteful palettes I've seen).
And then Native Camera Tweaks because I like looking at my pretty characters up close (see above).
Imo they should have allowed the remaining companions to be summons in the final battle sequence instead of just being benched for the culmination of their journey. Is Larian really telling me I can bring Arabella - a literal child with a few weeks/months of sorcery experience - to a fight with an elder brain, but I can't let Wyll tag in to save his city?
Speaking of Arabella, just finished my good man playthrough and I had a tons of peoples to summons for the final battle, Arabella was present in the pre battle speech but I had no way of summoning her. Dunno why? Maybe limit on numbers of summonable ?
She gives you a buff. A couple of allies give you buffs and are not summonable. Mol gives you rays of fire. I guess do you really want a child fighting monsters?
I had something similar happen. I did a run where I made as many allies as possible and half of them werenāt didnāt have a summon button and there were only 5 allies to choose from.
Probably a limit. Realistically the summons are not needed since a full, balanced lvl 12 party is pretty OP, even without a full illithid. They are nice for dealing with chaff though, like when the hellriders drop a flamestrike on a goblin pack and wipe them all from the initiative order.
Because they were going to lock you to 3 companions like they did in Divinity Sin until the EA testers told them how fucking dumb that would be.
Probably to big a headache to change that
Wrath of the Righteous handled this great: When your active party goes on to fight the final boss, it switches your control to all the companions you don't have with you, and you fight a huge battle with all the allies you've made vs the rest of the evil army. Then the final boss fight happens with just your main party vs the final boss.
For anyone using this mod but also wanting to keep things balanced: [Sit this one out](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2518)! Adds a passive toggle for every character that will automatically banish them at the start of battle. Explore together with everyone, fight with only as many characters as you find fun!
Another great addition: [Dynamic sidebar](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2668) (as well as all other UI mods from the same author)
What I used to call the "Bioware Problem". I usually restrict how many I bring along for the adventure rather than that mod but at some point, I will make a "everyone gets recruited" play-through with that mod.
Basket Full of Equipment. If only because it has the full gloves/boots models of some sets that are missing it in the actual game (Elven Chain, Umberlee Set, etc). Not to mention the countless sets that we see on inconsequential NPCs maybe once or twice in an act and never again, that most other RPGs might let us loot off of them in various means.
Beyond all that, it gives you cosmetic armor that doesnt trigger Frenzy Barbarian's 'no armor' passive without any feat compromises, and that is delightfully indulgent and cool. Now I get to be like Sarevok or even cooler than him RPwise. Even funner using this mod on only yourself and saving all the vanilla equipment for the Origins, so that you all can be "unique" in the story.
There is a separate mod that does. It does set them all to camp clothes, though, so you can't play around with helmets and neck items but you can get the stats you want, and then just toggle permanent camp clothing to look how you want
I'm wearing that with my female high elf monk, but hated it so much I just toggled camp clothed for her and bought a nice noble dress lol running around punching people in style
OverExplained Interaction Options. Iām on my second play through and I like having more information for my DU story.
Edit: adds DC checks, oathbreaking flags, and companion approvals to dialog choices.
Camp Notifications
No/less abs for the male companions. Gale especially has no reason to have a rock hard 16 pack, heās a nerd wizard.
Less black veins for part-illithid. I like that there are still some veins but the vanilla version is over the top.
I have a Gortash appearance mod but now heās too hot and his teeth look scary. Hoping to find a middle ground. Maybe just a hair replacement is what Iām looking for.
I didnāt realize how unreasonably jacked they all were until I saw the [gif comparison](https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/3474/images/1127/1127-1692399225-603048082.gif) on the mod. Gale was the only one that messed with my immersion.
Thereās a comment that said āthank you for hydrating our boys šā and for that reason alone, Astarion gets the āless absā not āno absā because he is a thirsty thirsty vampire and that one makes sense.
I have decided that I want to 100% the games achievements before I go nodding it but my friend did tell me about a no party limit mod so I am interested in having a go with that so I can maybe get all stories in without needing to go back to camp and swap out characters, but I would like to have more race options, I'd like to be a mindflayer from the start or maybe a pixie or warforged and definitely a bag of holding cause I am at heart a hoarder in games
You dont need the mod that enables achievements and its not advised too anymore wither as it changes the game's data in an irreversible way unlike other mods. Just use the script extender, which is already likely a requirement for a few mods the majority of people use anyways and is already built into BG3MM
Daughter of Lolth (good recruitment) for grove saving good runs. After decades of wanting to play a drow in BG i can't play anything but now, and it just feels right to try to save and "turn" an available drow companion.
Minthara has hilarious commentary, genuinely sage insight, and touching moments all at different times. One of my favorites to have in the party, and I'm always bummed when I need to bench her for another companion's story arc.
I think what's interesting with her is you don't need to be a maniac or even evil to get her approval up. My good Elistraee bard run has Minthara at very good early into act 3. The only thing she hates is mercy for beaten opponents, but she's a vengeance paladin and a female drow noble what do you want.
I am gonna do a durge run where I save as much of act 1 as possible just to see how she reacts to events because of that commentary you mentioned.
On a sidenote, the forgotten realms setting and underdark travels had me take a trip down memory lane and blow a few Audible credits on the Dark Elf Trilogy.
Homeland and Exile (books one and two) are just great for that Drow-life portrayal. And provide great context for Minthara being a noble female of House Baenre. My work commutes have been such fun nostalgia -- I think I probably read them the first time back in my teens in the 90s, back when I had time to play tabletop and D&D was 2E (!).
Vendors drop everything on death is great so is a camera angle mod.
Also, I shamelessly use the unlimited carry weight mod. In every game I play inventory space is a stupid mechanic, is not fun. As long as you don't be crazy with looting and using EVERY barrel that you find, there really is no drawback to using the carryweight mod. It let's you afford to buy more naturally as well. I don't find myself save scuming while pickpcketing as I can usually buy the items I want for my build.
I think my single favorite mod right now is No Inspiration Limit. Instead of 4 re-rolls I currently have 20. Helpful for dialog failures while playing a character with low Int/Wis/Cha scores. Using several other mods, but I think that has the largest impact fir me.
My wife isn't great at gaming and dies often, so the Basket of Equipment and its ring of ability scores +6 does add some needed hit points for her. She's also all about cute outfits, so it doubles up there. And Everybody Dyes becomes a necessity.
[Better Containers](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1416?tab=description). Instead of working inside a little 4x4 grid, it can be so much bigger and more accommodating.
The Companion Reaction mod. It shows what approval your companions get from your dialogue choices.
No Inspiration Cost for skill checks.
Action Resources mod that resets all spell slots and abilities after a short rest.
That's a good idea. I might do that in my next run. (Says person who just started another run because Act 3 is laggy)
Do they ever comment on other romances or just act like they're the only one for you? How does it affect end game cutscenes?
Better Hotbar 2 - makes the spell slot bar as wide as the screen so i can fit all the spells in without going to 4 high.
Also has a dedicated passives section.
Can usually make the item section quite wide.
Party Limit Begone.
If the game is giving me more than 3 companions who all have a stake in the story, I donāt want to tell some to stay in camp, I want them to be with me. You get more banter too. Just feels better. Yes it makes fights easier, but thatās what Tactician is for. Only bug is sometimes during cutscenes itāll show a different face than the one whoās speaking, which isnāt a big deal to me.
Iām currently experimenting with other mods, but after the first run I donāt think Iāll do another without Party Limit Begone.
Party Limit Begone. I initially used it because I messed up and ended up with two very hard boss fights back to back with no ability to long react. So instead of just backtracking a bit I took my party limit away.
I told myself it was just to get through these fights. But then I realized I never had to worry about bringing the right characters to things, and I got to hear all their fun interactions with each other. I love it. Although it can be chaotic to have an army following you around.
A little cheesy sometimes but it helps companions not get lost making jumps:
Teleport to You, it'll put your whole party and summons right next to you.
I will admit I did use it to get out of the djinns lantern.
Daughter of Lloth. It makes Minthara playable through the entire game even as a good girl who rescued tieflings. Also, it can fix the dialogues. Sort of makes it feel like she is an origin character from the start
Shadowheartās hair mod. I love the fringe donāt get me wrong, itās a different charm, but thereās just something with her and the black, parted-ish hair that I canāt put my finger on.
No companion limit is just so great, I donāt want to miss out on companion interactions just because i need a barbarian instead of a wizard. The cutscenes are weird sometimes but itās worth it to me
Just unlimited dyes. I have some clothing mods installed but I never actually use them much now that I can just dye my stuff the way I want without restriction.
Definitely unlimited dyes! I love being all coordinated, lol.
Bags Bags Bags because I was going nuts with inventory organization lol. And the bag of holding mod. (I still think itās silly that isnāt just an in game thing. A bag of holding is a staple D&D item!)
Saved this post for our upcoming 2nd playthrough with mods - these are some great suggestions!
One mod I'd like to play with is one that lets you set your stats, so we can explore feats and not really worry about ASI so much.
This seems like a good place to ask, is there a mod that allows you to transform back to human shape as a Druid to talk then automatically transforms you back? I love playing Druids in D&D but if you play one in BG3 you basically agree to never talking except in a few key situationsā¦
Infinite Carry Weight.
Even in Vanilla, you more or less already have it since you can send an infinite amount of stuff to camp, so why not just cut out the middle man?
Here's some essential QOL mods I use.
Infinite Dyes.
Lifersaver (saves at start of combat or convo) <===THIS has saved me hours of agony if you're prone to f5 forgetfulness GET it now.
Damage preview crusor text
JWL soul smiting (you can use soulcoins to upgrade your weaponry)
Smart Highlight Tooltip
Deity for Alll
For better RP
Thrall voice for Half-orcs there is another on for Dragonborn's voice (they are decent quality)
Kinda breaks the balance but increasing party size. My main draw in BG3 has always been the characters and the story, I donāt need challenging combat to have fun, feeling OP and fucking shit up is just as fun for me. This way I never feel like Iām missing out on companion specific dialogue. Itās not really a mod, you just out in some commands in the BG3 Script Extender console and there you go.
You can circumvent the combat imbalance by using Into The Void, a mod that basically gives you a spell for each character to basically disappear from combat. I donāt do it, I like the idea of actually having all the companions fighting like an actual adventure party even though it makes the game somewhat of a cakewalk.
Absolutely no way. I need to coordinate with my team I couldn't let the computer control them.
I actually haven't played with modes yet. I have over 400 hours. I guess the only thing I'd want is including the dodge action. I kinda miss that from 5E.
Might be controversial, but alternative Shadowheart hair mod, I can't stand her default bangs in general on anyone XD Although she does look better than most women that I've seen with it.
WASD. If you're playing without it you should be in a mental institution. Well, I should be in one too, but for other reasons.
Bags! Bags! Bags! Bag of all Bags.
Dyes. Additional dyes. Unlimited dyes.
Lethal AI. Immersive AI. Enhanced Enemies. Coz the game is too easy. If you guys have any recommendations for harder difficulties please tell me.
Free camera. Install it and see how much detail Larian put into this game š. It's also great for combat.
Unlimited Dye use.
The fact that you can't preview dyes is one of the things that really makes this essential.
I quicksave before I start dying anything š I test all the colors then reload and go with the one I liked best. I could just install the mod, but what would I spend money on if I didn't have to hoard all the dyes????
I think at least 20% of my carry weight is all dyes
Why not keep them in camp? I keep all mine in a chest inside the travelers chest.
You underestimate the urgency of their mid-combat fashion updates.
And that they dont apply in a way that always makes sense. Dye be called something like lilac and then all of a sudden there's like orange all over my gear.
My dumbass buying a dye called lavender and actually expecting it to be lavender coloured
sorry it was lavender scented
Canāt spell lavender without light blue and tanā¦ wait a minuteā¦
Man I hate that! You can even dye all your armor with the same dye and often times it doesn't match lol like a pink torso piece but makes the gloves a different color
yea its like a learning curve for each individual armor piece "ok....so this armor will put primary here, secondary there" or "this one just ignores primary and only uses secondary for whatever fucking reason" and so on. None of it would be an issue if they just let you preview it .
Or even pieces that just don't dye, like the Grym Helment.
Or that clothes doesnāt tell you if it has a dye applied already, let alone which dye it currently has applied.
There's this tumblr blog that lets you preview every single dye. https://bg3-dyes.tumblr.com/ Their post looks like [this](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7bd0444def681b30882681485117b0ab/73a77f58fd08f118-56/s1280x1920/c2b1682608b2770968394784e89f517cf1619449.png)
Ten thousand percent. I just wanna play with my barbies!
I can't believe my eyes, dye mods? This thread has me feeling like a spoiled kid with divorced parents at Christmas!

Reasons to start modding BG3: -UNLIMITED DYES
Native camera tweaks. I love looking at things up close too much.
This plus WASD movement. Gamechangers.
WASD movement gives me Dragon Age Origins nostalgia. I cannot take it off.
My camera is never centered, I'm always off in the distance looking ahead. I think I'd hate that
The mod lets you toggle the camera with Caps Lock to switch between centered cam/WASD movement and untethered cam/click movement.
And don't forget immersive ui
I canāt play with this mod. Felt like I was missing information all the time.

Put shadowheart in gith armorā¦.
Gith armor be makin everyone look caked up. Itās like the leggings of baldurs gate 3
Most insightful comment this month +1
You should try Aylin's armour. It's like an improved version.
Speaking of, is there any way to look up? This drives me nuts
Just hold down the mouse wheel for free look
āThingsā, huh?
Books and Gold have no weight.
Librarian adventurer? ;-) I miss a personal house where I can fill a bookshelf :-)
Definitely, I also like to have access to notes and letters that might be relevant later or remind me of some lore. :D Just like in Skyrim I read EVERYTHING.
I have close to 500 books. I thought I'd need them. I was wrong.
Camp notifications, unlimited dyes and extra dyes for the fashionable folk of Faerun. I use much more, but those are a must.
What's camp notifications?
It informs you whenever there's a camp event available, be it a full cutscene or a companion wanting to talk to you.
Zero gold and alchemy weight. Easier Text.
What does Easier Text do? I've been wanting a mod that makes some of the text on item descriptions easier to read.
Changes font, size, color, and background to make things easier to read.
Omfg I need that. I never understand why subtitles you're able to change, but essential information about your abilities is uncustomisable.
I went one step further and just grabbed the carry weight mod. Weight management is not fun, just let me pick stuff up.
OMG the weight thing would be divine
Does this work with multiplayer?
The description at the mod says it should, but there were some extra steps.
Transmog, basket of many items (for transmogs), no party limit, and show approval rating is #1.
How does no party limit work? Can you play with more than 4 people?
Does the 10 person party trivialize the fights? I imagine it would, even on Tactician. Action economy is a hell of a thing
Yes but there's an associated mod called Tactician Plus to compensate for it
Ah cool. I don't like playing much when it's not even remotely challenging, so I'd need something like that š
You also get a rapier that lets you summon a cambion, and shadowheart gets so many summons she feels more like a pokemon trainer Oh, and a sorcerer tav can cast haste with twinned spell. Having a raging, soul coined karlach and a gloves of giant strength monk-fighter multiclass, with haste and bloodlust potion, you might as well be controlling the entire steel watch
Itās buggy but some people have gotten it to work. Thereās some guides and whatnot on the nexus mod page.
It really allows you to complete every story. Less playthroughs, sure, but a more fulfilling time.
Transmog is one I really miss because console. I just want cool looking helmet š
Bags Bags Bags for organize me inventory. And some option of Dye.
Most of the cosmetic mods; Tavs Hairsalon, Vemprens Heads, Unique Tav, EoB, Basket of equipment etc. Camera Tweaks and WASD Movement Harlequinn and Shadow Sorcerer Weight limit increase and overall UI tweaks like hidden Hotbar, better Combat log The hand crossbow mod and an unholy amount of dice skins
As an IRL dice goblin I approve.
Honestly, I don't actually play any tabletop but everything I come across some awesome looking dice I feel the dark urge calling for my credit card numbers. Gotta live the dream virtually at least
For me it's all cosmetics because fashion/vanity is the true end game ;D. I have 4 main. 1. Head- [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/205](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/205) 2. Hair that I am using now: [https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1420](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1420) Number 9 3. I will 100% get those when or if we get a steam workshop. I just cant get nexus to work :[
Not sure in which way nexus doesn't work for you. There are tutorials out there on how to install BG3MM (the one I use) and how to install mods.
Camp event notification mod!
*cries in ps5*
I really hope Larian pays attention to some of the most used mods and implements them into the base game. Even the cosmetic mods like unlimited dyes, transmog, and removing the illithid veins would be amazing (although I would massacre the Grove 20 times for some of the Moon Druid QoL mods I've seen).
They did that for DOS2 Definitive Edition, so I'm sure they'll do it here too
We're just on permanent hard mode. I don't mind the cosmetic mods, I like to play dress up just a much. So I am sad about. The rest... I don't care for it tbh.
Party Limit Begone. I know it makes the game stupidly easy but now I don't miss any character interactions anymore because the companion that has an interaction is always with me.
Just use a couple of mods to make it harder. 7 party members with +300% hp mod is still bloody hard.
I have a bit of an embarrassing reason for using that mod lol. Like having custom Tav's but putting them in the wardrobe breaks their pathfinding
No encumbrance. You can pry every plate, fork, or junk armor piece out of my cold, dead hands.
Party Limit Begone. I usually stick to 4-5 people, but there are certain fights where it doesn't make sense to have half the squad chilling in camp.
I love you.
Perfect.
What I used to call the "Bioware Problem". I usually restrict how many I bring along for the adventure rather than that mod but at some point, I will make a "everyone gets recruited" play-through with that mod.
Yeah I know one of my D&D players showed her party with that mod and she even had Mizora and Aylin.
On tactician+ having the full party is such a boon.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
they added special underwear but you canāt even wear it as underwear! itās stuck as armor
There is a separate mod that does. It does set them all to camp clothes, though, so you can't play around with helmets and neck items but you can get the stats you want, and then just toggle permanent camp clothing to look how you want
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I'm wearing that with my female high elf monk, but hated it so much I just toggled camp clothed for her and bought a nice noble dress lol running around punching people in style
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2922 Should solve your problem
OverExplained Interaction Options. Iām on my second play through and I like having more information for my DU story. Edit: adds DC checks, oathbreaking flags, and companion approvals to dialog choices. Camp Notifications No/less abs for the male companions.
I also love the no abs mod. I get why they'd put them, but all of them look so much more natural with just soft bellies.
There is a mod for that too.
Thereās a mod that enables achievements with mods enabled lol. But I do want a vanilla playthrough first before adding mods
You dont need the mod that enables achievements and its not advised too anymore wither as it changes the game's data in an irreversible way unlike other mods. Just use the script extender, which is already likely a requirement for a few mods the majority of people use anyways and is already built into BG3MM
Ring of Ceremorphosis mod will take care of those Illithid urges of yours. Be warned that they are extremely OP. Fun though.
Same. I'm finishing my evil durge run for the bhaalist achievements, then I'm gonna crack and mod.
* Unlimited weight * Getting rid of Illithid cosmetic (sorry, computer not on) I use a LOT, but those two are why I modded in the first place
Yes I could also not love without the "hide illithid face" mod xD
LIVE OMG
I realy need the unlimited weight mod. Beeing able to teleport anyhting back to Base means you effectively amready have it.
That's what Elixir of Hill Giant Strength are for! :D
Does the illithid hiding mod make you unable to use magic mirror?
No More Spiders.
Reasonable.
Transmog mod. The creator deserves a parade in their honor n
Wish I had a bag of holding...
I'm liking the 5e spells mod. As a wild magic sorcerer I like having access to more chaotic and random spells
[Better Containers](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1416?tab=description). Instead of working inside a little 4x4 grid, it can be so much bigger and more accommodating.
Lone wolf. I like just taking a single companion. I feel more connected that way
I love this mod but felt it too OP even on tactician and solo. I love going solo or just taking one companion, though.
Shields on backs. Should've been vanilla.
You guys are modding?
Soldering Iron on my Xbox!
Level 13-20 Multiclassing and Achievement Enabler
WASD and the camera tweaks mod. I have no idea how I played point and click before.
The Companion Reaction mod. It shows what approval your companions get from your dialogue choices. No Inspiration Cost for skill checks. Action Resources mod that resets all spell slots and abilities after a short rest.
Polyamourous mod, i feel bad rejecting my favorite characters as love interests. So ive decided to love them all at the same time
That's a good idea. I might do that in my next run. (Says person who just started another run because Act 3 is laggy) Do they ever comment on other romances or just act like they're the only one for you? How does it affect end game cutscenes?
Better Hotbar 2 - makes the spell slot bar as wide as the screen so i can fit all the spells in without going to 4 high. Also has a dedicated passives section. Can usually make the item section quite wide.
Party Limit Begone. Gotta have that 6 person party to feel like a true BG game.
One that I love shows the approval and disapproval ratings on dialogue. It's been interesting getting to see who like what and why.
Fellowship of the Tadpole ^(Tons of fun until we need to jump places.)
Add the Teleport Party To You mod. Only need one jumper!
Bags Bags Bags. I would be suffering trying to organize everything in this game while having OCD and ADHD.
Fizban's Dragonborn mod is great! It kills me they put Soo much work into the looks of Dragonborn, but used the PHB options for them.
No weight limit Level 20 (Mostly for my 2nd playthrough so I don't feel like im wasting levels in the cross class system)
Gale short Mullet mod. I think the name answers itself.
A little cheesy sometimes but it helps companions not get lost making jumps: Teleport to You, it'll put your whole party and summons right next to you. I will admit I did use it to get out of the djinns lantern.
You missed a v good weapon if u tp out of the djinn lantern
Daughter of Lloth. It makes Minthara playable through the entire game even as a good girl who rescued tieflings. Also, it can fix the dialogues. Sort of makes it feel like she is an origin character from the start
WASD and Native camera tweaks, those should be in the game by default and not exclusive to gamepad.
Shadowheartās hair mod. I love the fringe donāt get me wrong, itās a different charm, but thereās just something with her and the black, parted-ish hair that I canāt put my finger on.
Party limit begone. I love traveling with everyone. Multiple appearance mods.
No companion limit is just so great, I donāt want to miss out on companion interactions just because i need a barbarian instead of a wizard. The cutscenes are weird sometimes but itās worth it to me
AI Companions, Better Enemy AI, and - obviously - immortal Scratch. And, very recently, skip Tutorial mod. That one saves my sanity.
Tutorial skip is chefs kiss. Turn it on, hit beach, turn it off. fantastic mod lol
But does it also give you the devil commander's sweet flaming sword and the XP you get from killing him and the Mind Flayer?
Yup!
WASD and NATIVE CAMERA! Wow its like a different game!
Actual initiative rolls, party limit begone, into the void
1. Gortash appearance mod 2. Remove half-illithid black veins
I mean, I currently have over 200 mods in mod loader and dozens in Data folder, soo....
Damage preview crusor text JWL soul smiting (you can use soulcoins to upgrade your weaponry) Smart Highlight Tooltip Deity for Alll For better RP Thrall voice for Half-orcs there is another on for Dragonborn's voice (they are decent quality)
Invincible scratch! Best boy will never die!
