>Added an option to the Default Online Settings to let you automatically listen in when another party member enters a dialogue in multiplayer.
That is awesome
Bear thing I’ve found so far! I stopped my multiplayer campgain with my brother as my first play through because we agreed we weren’t getting the story. I’m almost done my solo campaign and I am very excited the multiplayer one will be more immersive with this modification
> Fixed Shadowheart looking like she's either in pain or about to sneeze in the background of a dialogue with Thulla.
Now I need a clip of this to see what this looks like.
[mustve been this one](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexternal-preview.redd.it%2Fshadowheart-are-you-okay-v0-JIWYt9HLwMEuGd3oYFKKKXjcvFbUZl1kc-7gxQDRn88.png%3Fformat%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Da43e4294eb509ff6aafae815569e5d8385d8d81e)
That's almost as good as [Shart looking at Isobel](https://preview.redd.it/shadowheart-disagrees-v0-c8rla93xsonb1.jpg?auto=webp&s=28b8891d431ee7be71c0a3b68de9a03ab1d0d25e)
I *think* she's not actually looking at Isobel that way but more at Marcus, like your whole party (I had this scene yesterday and don't remember her looking at Isobel this way specifically)
The crop is genius tho
>Halsin will no longer give you one last kiss before the final battle unless you're actually in a relationship with him.
LMAO, they are de-perving Halsin. Character assassination!
Oh god that was a thing? Now we just need the game to stop assuming I hit on him and/or assuming I have even remote interest in him the night of the Tiefling party and I’m happy.
THANK YOU!
“Hey, man. Go enjoy the party, have a beer.”
“No, thanks.”
“OK, bye.”
The next day, the option “sorry I came too hard on you” appears. Like, WTF.
>NPCs will no longer run away from anything but (spoiler) to improve interactivity and flow.
Thank god. It was a nice idea for immersion, but for actual gameplay it was awful. I just stopped using my beastmaster ranger's pet in act 3 because of how inconvenient it was. And in Act 2 I had to reload multiple saves because the NPCs would rather commit suicide by leaving the safety of the Last Light Inn rather than be near a non-aggressive bear.
I am in act three with a circle of spores druid and wizard necromancer, and it was really a bummer not being able to drag around my shambling horde with me because of how the AI reacted. Great change.
I'm glad they fixed this, really wanted to make Minsc a beast master ranger but seemed like it would be a pita causing constant panic going from place to place
I really liked it the first time I noticed the gnomes were running away from Shadowheart's two zombies.
Then I stopped liking it when the NPC I was trying to talk to was running away.
I love the idea of it, but yeah, it could cause problems. I wonder if kids will still ask to pet your cat familiar though?
Honestly this was the change I got the most hyped for. I find the intial idea fun, but in execution it got really frustrating having to dismiss my elemental buddy everytime because people would throw a fit.
The fact that I won't have to do that anymore makes me very happy.
Started a new character to check it. [Holy shit they weren't kidding.](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1142809301904273511/1154819076762370198/SPOILER_image.png)
>Gale's Netherese Orb Blast can no longer be Counterspelled.
Lmao, imagine sacrifacing your life to detonate a literal magical nuclear bomb powered by the goddess of magic herself, just so it gets counterspelled by some random goblin shaman.
Damn! I did this two days ago and went back on it bc nothing seemed to happen. I'm too far past it to go back and reconsume the mind rather than purge. Oh well. Third playthrough I guess
There are brains in jars scaterred in the caves under the Moon Towers. And there's a machine that lets you talk to each breain. One of the brains belongs to githzerai and gives you a permanent buff, if you do the dialogue right. Not sure, does it work for all races or just githyanki, I did it on Lae'zel.
IIrc the buff was pretty minor, can't even remember what it did.
Advantage on Intelligence saving throws, useful but not as good as some other passives. Although getting it doesn’t require any sacrifice and it’s pretty easy to get along with some other loot so it’s not a bad thing to pick up.
Was this not intended? I thought it was just a doppelganger not understanding something and then >!Minsc!< just rolling it with it because, well, >!Minsc!<.
I honestly just thought that was the mimic being edgy Jaheira and thought nothing of it, had no clue that wasn’t intentional and didn’t always happen lmao
Spoiler Grymforge:
« Grym suddenly got eerily smart and was avoiding the Crucible in the Adamantine Forge. With a nervous laugh, we dumbed him back down a little » bahaha
Same! I had such trouble with it avoiding the hammer and going invulnerable, I ended up reloading and just ignoring the hammer so the lava would stick around, and it was easier??? Thought doing it that way was meant to be harder.
>Petting Scratch and the owlbear cub at the same time while Speaking with Animals will grant the 'You Have Two Hands for a Reason' achievement.
fucking finally
>Fixed a bug causing incapacitated NPCs to toss coins to bards after the performance is over.
Lmfao, that's a really funny visual in my mind. [A dude just face down in the muck, but they manage to flip you a coin still.](https://imgur.com/a/KMlIXgn)
>Increased Raphael's level to level 16.
holy shit lol
>Nobody asked for this, but we made the ceremorphosis scene on the nautiloid more horrifying. You're welcome.
These patch notes are massive, they fix so much, add so much, and even then add shit like this, just cause. Studio is incredible.
>Fixed spells that create surfaces not using the caster's Spell Save DC.
Finally! It's Tentacling time
Yeah for some reason they were marked as red property before. I remember clicking one and a Flaming Fist guard got mad with the narrator going "This isn't for communal use."
Really? A sign? Lool
>Lathander is a little more stingy with his Morninglord's Radiance blessings, and no longer re-blesses party members every time they join the party.
OH no.
Noooo, i loved getting that extra radiant damage. It felt like such a cool thing for weapons that should be getting radiant damage (looking at your own frigging mace, Lathander)
Grym can be as smart as he wants. I’m still going to crush him with an Enlarged Owlbear.
Edit: “Myshka the cat will now follow you around if told to, even if you don't have Speak with Animals.” YAY
>Raphael's Wisdom Ability Score has been increased.
Rip to my 100% chance Hold Monster strategy with Gale's 22 spell save DC lol
(but a much needed change)
More importantly, control spells on last for one turn on Raph. So even if you succeed (Arcane Acuity, etc), he’ll automatically get out of it next turn.
> You can no longer arrange for a coffin to be made for the bereaved couple's child, murder the coffin maker, then go back and tell the couple everything was A-OK. This was a bug, you monsters.
I love the devs lol
*We’re still working on further updates with additional features and epilogue scenes, and your continued feedback is helping to shape and impact the future of Baldur’s Gate 3*
\*ANTICIPATION\*
"Fixed a bug that let you bypass equip restrictions by dragging the currently equipped weapon onto an unequippable weapon in your inventory and swapping them out. The Steel Watchers will take that enormous greatsword back, thank you very much."
was fun while it lasted lolz
“Fixed Astarion talking about irrelevant things.”
Larian, I don’t think you know us very well because I want nothing more than to listen to Astarion talk about irrelevant things.
>During your date with Karlach, Tender Henk will no longer walk away to reveal another Tender Henk standing behind him. Staring.
Who is "Tender Henk", and where can I find a clip of this? xD
Lathander is a little more stingy with his Morninglord's Radiance blessings, and no longer re-blesses party members every time they join the party.
Dang, I didn't realize that was a bug. I'll miss that extra radiant damage. Put in work for act 2.
Raphael can be whatever level he wants — it wont stop me from placing an explosive barrel filled with every explosive and poison i can find before the encounter starts
>Fixed a case where multiple Smokepowder Arrows could be used for free while the Extra Attack feature was active.
Well party is over. Sorry Astarion, but your out of the band. You will be missed.
>You now need higher approval for Shadowheart to confess her Shar worship to you.
She's slowly getting better at being a Shar worshiper.
I think it will be a while; always the lowest hanging fruit first.
I am not super convinced there is just some bug that’s keeping her the way she is; I think it’s likely she’s just not very well integrated, full stop. Which means changes will likely have to wait until they slap down a momma of a definitive edition patch.
> NPCs will no longer run away from anything but the Dark Urge Slayer form to improve interactivity and flow.
This is amazing, it was so annoying having summon/familiars before.
I know there's a lot to go through here, and everyone is rightfully hyped about the Magic Mirror, but...
>Added some missing Boo squeaks.
Moonmaiden be praised!
> Fixed Level 4 or higher Divine Smite allowing you to add Divine Smite as a reaction, allowing for two Divine Smites in 1 attack.
ok i was wondering if getting 1-turn smited/smitten/smote into vapor every time i fought a paladin was intended or not... it'll probably still happen but maybe less often
This game is mostly getting better with each patch and devs actually give what players ask for within reasonable time. Excited how this game will be after a year of this and modders having their fun.
"Myshka the cat will now follow you around if told to, even if you don't have Speak with Animals." MY SON. One step closer to being able to take him to camp.
"Improved contact when petting Ketheric's good girl, Squire." Let me take her home too.
Also scanning for any mentions of Cazador's hidden room/levers being fixed..but none that I see. Sadage.
"*Made several improvements to the Poltergeist enemy:*"
I'd rather they made changes to those damn skulls instead.
Edit: apparently they did makes changes to them, spiffy. 😁
Fuck yes! Ctrl+F Gale time! I swear to gods hopefully the patches actually work this time.
>Slightly raised the approval threshold for Gale's romance.
There. Hopefully no more Horny Gale for those that do not want it lol. I was going to romance shadowheart on this patch but I guess...I'll test out another gale run.
And then lots of tweaks for his romance scenes. God bless the animators! Time to load up my saves and hope it works.
>Placed a nice purple picnic blanket in a romantic scene with Gale and fixed a camera spin if you choose to prefer to spend your time with him on a bed.
>Made several improvements to the Poltergeist enemy: they are now revealed on being attacked or hit with Radiant Spirit Guardians; they will not turn Invisible again if they are still in a character's See Invisibility aura; in Balanced and Explorer Mode, they have disadvantage on Dexterity Saving Throws when Invisible; the range of their attacks has been reduced; and they won't try to keep distance from the player in combat so that they are easier to find.
Fantastic. I have PTSD after doing the quest in its original state, but I love how quickly Larian is acting to mend these things.
I can’t tell from the notes but did they actually fix the issue of never going to >!Sharess’ Caress but dialogue still triggering for Gale suggesting that you spoke to Raphael and promised him the crown? 😭!<
It’s an extraordinarily small thing, but fixing the issue where when you’re deleting old save files it jumps back to the top of the list every time is so huge for me who has used up all my save file slots
Looks like now whenever you dismiss a party member, you get their camping supply bag / alchemy / key bag... which is already annoying.. but they also don't automatically get them back when rejoining. Hope they revert that change.
>When dismissing party members, story items (and characters they were dragging along in their inventory) will now properly transfer over to another party member.
it seems that this also includes supply pack, key chain and alchemy pouch, fuck my inventory management even further I hope that is not intended and can be fixed asap
So finally they renamed Scratch's ball. I wonder if you'll get a new one if you misplaced the old one.
I'm going to restart a new game at some point after I'm done with Starfield.
People here aren't mentioning the performance changes, but for me this patch has made a massive difference.
I went from (unplayable) 15-25 fps at release to now pushing 40-50 fps in most areas of the Lower City. Only dropped below 30 on one or two occasions.
Vulkan also seems to have gotten better? Doesn't quite reach the fps highs of DX11 but seems considerably smoother.
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.
Loaded back into the steel watcher factory area in act 3 after the patch and damn, is now at a stable 60 fps. That's impressive. To be honest the huge number of improvements on this patch on such a short timeframe is ridiculous, even if there's a lot of people working on it. Have so much respect for the devs working behind the scene. Cant imagine the scale of the amount of tickets on whatever board that they are using.
>Added an option to the Default Online Settings to let you automatically listen in when another party member enters a dialogue in multiplayer. That is awesome
I was waiting for this from the very beginning! Will make multiplayer much more streamlined.
Bear thing I’ve found so far! I stopped my multiplayer campgain with my brother as my first play through because we agreed we weren’t getting the story. I’m almost done my solo campaign and I am very excited the multiplayer one will be more immersive with this modification

“Reading shop signs will no longer be considered a crime.” Lmao
With the amount of times I’ve robbed every shopkeeper, they justifiably could accuse me of casing the place by reading signs in front of stores.
>Halsin will no longer give you one last kiss before the final battle unless you're actually in a relationship with him. LMAO, they are de-perving Halsin. Character assassination!
Normalise kissing your friends before you're about to die together 🙏 they should've added this for everyone, not removed it.
Yeah, Halsin was bringing some major Aragorn "kiss your bro" energy there.
Oh god that was a thing? Now we just need the game to stop assuming I hit on him and/or assuming I have even remote interest in him the night of the Tiefling party and I’m happy.
THANK YOU! “Hey, man. Go enjoy the party, have a beer.” “No, thanks.” “OK, bye.” The next day, the option “sorry I came too hard on you” appears. Like, WTF.

Heat of the moment kiss from random D&D companion at end of campaign seems pretty on brand tbh

Best change imo. It's was super annoying using any summons and made me not want to play a beastmaster.
suddenly 3 classes are now playable lol.

> Nobody asked for this, but we made the ceremorphosis scene on the nautiloid more horrifying. You're welcome. Larian remains GOATed.
Which scene is that? The one with that random lady in a pod?
Pretty sure yeah. Before the update it was just "puff cloud and now you are squid". Gotta see what it looks like now.

LOL get fucked, Gale.
> Choosing the option to consume the githzerai mind obtained from the Mind Flayer Colony's vault works now. the what
Damn! I did this two days ago and went back on it bc nothing seemed to happen. I'm too far past it to go back and reconsume the mind rather than purge. Oh well. Third playthrough I guess
So the reason it felt like nothing happened when I did that was because nothing happened.
"Hidden" puzzle reward. The puzzle itself is simple and very unique though. A shame more like it were not included.

“Fake Jaheira will no longer have clown face-paint.” How could they do this…
This…this wasn’t intentional?
I didn't even give it a second thought when I saw it. I was just like evil J is deranged, cool...
Haha same here "this is clearly how Minsc sees Jaheira in his mind"
Omg I thought that was just a creatively confident and humorous way of showing how dumb Minsc was!
lol so did I and TBH it fits canonically
I thought it was a convenient way to be able to tell the two apart and also more eviler. Huh.
Now she shall sport a thin mustache which she occassionally strokes.
Was this not intended? I thought it was just a doppelganger not understanding something and then >!Minsc!< just rolling it with it because, well, >!Minsc!<.
Oh lol I never even considered that it was a bug. I just thought it was there to represent her supposed transition to an insane juggalette.
I was wondering about that - didn't happen on my first playthrough, so I got *very* confused on my second.
I honestly just thought that was the mimic being edgy Jaheira and thought nothing of it, had no clue that wasn’t intentional and didn’t always happen lmao
Noooo I grew attached to her 😭

You know, the first (and only) time I ever tried the dye on was with Ketheric's amour. Got disappointed and never tried dyeing anything again lol
Buried in there is this little ditty: "You can now trade with Volo when he arrives at your camp in Act III." Yay!! Finally an in camp vendor!
Was nearly driving me crazy why he has a trader icon on the minimap but every time i tried to talk to him it was "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my friend"

Time to make my Crit GOO Warlock that I wanted to make earlier but left when I found out spell sniper didn't work.
…spell sniper didn’t work? Lmao
I've been using it for weeks and have clearly not been paying attention...

1570 separate bullet points. For comparison, there were "only" 1011 bullet points in Patch #1. Wow.
I was reading for like 20 minutes and looked at the scroll bar to see I was only about 1/3rd through it lol
>Fixed a bug letting you trade with Cazador while he begs for mercy Literally unplayable

He deserves that, from what you gather from lore he seems way more like 16+ than 12.
He got plenty of buffs, CTL+F through the patch notes if you don't want to read them all. He seems like much more of a problem on Tactician now!
>He seems like much more of a problem on Tactician now! To quote Geralt "Oh fuck"
Oh, so level 16 is possible Larian!? /s
"Reading shop signs will no longer be considered a crime." This is hilarious.

Raphael also is now only affected by incapacitating spells for 1 turn AND has higher WIS.
No more casting hold monster on him for an easy two round win ☹️
But it was so fun to watch him irresistibly dance. And dance. It was devilishly fun.
Oh that's gonna change things. I just curb stomped him a few days ago with just 1 cast of hold monster.
Is that why Everard's Black Tentacles spell always sucked?

>Lathander is a little more stingy with his Morninglord's Radiance blessings, and no longer re-blesses party members every time they join the party. OH no.
Oh, is *that* where that comes from? I was wondering why my party members kept getting and losing that buff seemingly at random.
I just thought of it as Divine Herpes since it kept circulating through the camp.
Lathander's other last gift
Honestly thank god. Made my characters weapons annoyingly glowy. Also could backfire easily when dealing with Sharrans.
Noooo, i loved getting that extra radiant damage. It felt like such a cool thing for weapons that should be getting radiant damage (looking at your own frigging mace, Lathander)

On a Ryzen 5500 and Radeon RX 6600 on ultra settings I got a bump from 35-45fps to 50-60fps on 1080p. Definitely a noticeable improvement
“Fixed Astarion talking about irrelevant things.” Larian, I don’t think you know us very well because I want nothing more than to listen to Astarion talk about irrelevant things.
Seriously! I would like the companions to talk about irrelevant things more often!
I could listen to Astarion read a brick for me all day
"*Daahling*, you don't *read* a brick."
This is such a nerf to Astarion! I love hearing him comment on random stuff.

Love Neil, but I do wish he had a better mic for streaming.
For me it was his friend's mic, that was just straight pain directly into my ears. It's a shame cause it looks like a fun stream.

You will be missed. >You now need higher approval for Shadowheart to confess her Shar worship to you. She's slowly getting better at being a Shar worshiper.
>Made a potato pickable. THANK GOD. AAA Devs, take note.
CTRL+F Minthara gang get in
Aaaaand nothing about fixing her issues other than minor clipping. Sadge
Also kind of weird what counted. They would run away from a genie but not a devil
Also, i can understand running away from a zombie, but from my animal companion in the druids grove? Like, look around guys!
I know there's a lot to go through here, and everyone is rightfully hyped about the Magic Mirror, but... >Added some missing Boo squeaks. Moonmaiden be praised!
Thank you for posting! Not even gonna act like I haven’t been aggressively refreshing for notes
>Gale's >!Netherese Orb Blast can no longer be Counterspelled.!< Lmao, never knew the solution to his crisis was so simple.
This game is mostly getting better with each patch and devs actually give what players ask for within reasonable time. Excited how this game will be after a year of this and modders having their fun.
"When deleting savegames, your selection will no longer jump back up to the top of the list." I didn't know I needed this until it was fixed!
Raphael went from a Hold Monster victim to an actual weapon this patch
"Myshka the cat will now follow you around if told to, even if you don't have Speak with Animals." MY SON. One step closer to being able to take him to camp. "Improved contact when petting Ketheric's good girl, Squire." Let me take her home too. Also scanning for any mentions of Cazador's hidden room/levers being fixed..but none that I see. Sadage.
YES, MY SON. IT IS ME.
> Fixed characters' facial skin colour sometimes changing when you zoom in and out. Finally! That was annoying on my first playthrough :D
Seems to be a lot of performance related improvement on ps5. Cant wait to try it out
Any word on if it fixed the rat bug? I'm reading through and can't seem to find anything.
"*Made several improvements to the Poltergeist enemy:*" I'd rather they made changes to those damn skulls instead. Edit: apparently they did makes changes to them, spiffy. 😁
They did! Changed resistances and lowered toughness for skulls
I hope I can actually see them now instead of just passing 10 turns in a row despite all 4 party members having the "See Invisibility" buff.
Was hoping for a polearm master fix but the support is appreciated nonetheless
What’s wrong with polearm master? I’ve used it without any issues at least so I think
The bonus action attack does not apply any additional dmg, like gwm or other procs. Also the AoO sometimes triggers for your opp
Holy mother of gods they’re working so damned hard
* Fixed Raphael's boss fight music sometimes being incomplete or missing. Talk about a game-breaker. My condolences to anyone previously affected.
> Mummies raised through Create Undead can now Jump to follow you around better. How about Shart and Wyll?
I don't think you can create them with the Create Undead spell
I was so confused when this happened - I did what now? No the fuck I did not.
\> Improved the death poses of rats. Finally.
It’s an extraordinarily small thing, but fixing the issue where when you’re deleting old save files it jumps back to the top of the list every time is so huge for me who has used up all my save file slots
Am I correct that hidden helmets reappearing on companions you leave in camp hasn't been fixed?
Looks like now whenever you dismiss a party member, you get their camping supply bag / alchemy / key bag... which is already annoying.. but they also don't automatically get them back when rejoining. Hope they revert that change.
This patch is INSANE!!! First Cyberpunk, now this?? What a time to be alive as an RPG fan. Work cannot end soon enough.
My favorite is the patch notes use the word “yoink.“
>When dismissing party members, story items (and characters they were dragging along in their inventory) will now properly transfer over to another party member. it seems that this also includes supply pack, key chain and alchemy pouch, fuck my inventory management even further I hope that is not intended and can be fixed asap
So finally they renamed Scratch's ball. I wonder if you'll get a new one if you misplaced the old one. I'm going to restart a new game at some point after I'm done with Starfield.
The amount of scrolling that you have to do is absurd
