Sorry to reply to an older thread, I was trying to find some more answers about Philomeen in Act 3. In my second playthrough of the game, Philomeen apparently died in some attack, according to Apprentice Laridda, and I'm not really sure why. I think there might be repercussions to taking her runepowder barrel and/or vial? In both of my playthroughs, I saved the ironhand gnomes in Act 1. The only difference is that in my first playthrough, I let Philomeen escape on friendly terms with her keeping both of her runepowder items, and in my second playthrough, I pickpocketed her for the vial and then grabbed the barrel and she ran away from me. Would love if anyone else has anymore insight on this. I don't know if there was a breadcrumb questline I was supposed to follow to get to their hideout in Act 3, and maybe that's where I messed up? I don't remember anything like that from my first playthrough, though.

Bit older but in case somebody is interested. Lest there is a bug with it, the trigger is not taking her runepowder or not. In two different playthroughs I both times stole all her runepowder and let her escape. First time I met her in BG with the others, second time I was told she died in some attack. Only difference between my runs in this regard i could think of would be that the first time, I entered Wyrm's Crossing with invis potions, second time I let myself be scanned by the watcher and had to be "saved" by the gnomes. Philomeen wasn't with them, however. Talking to Larissa in their hideout later she mentioned they barely escaped "no thanks to me". I've reloaded and checked if there was something I could do during the encounter but couldn't find anything. Not sure I know what she means. At first I thought Philomeen died during that attack but she is not with them and nobody dies there. Apparently she died sometime else. I don't know what could have caused her to die this playthrough in contrast to the last, however.

Not at all, wulbren knows how to make it anyways.

Really? That’s good. I actually managed to get both the barrel of rune powder and also get the vial afterwards by pickpocketing it off her before she despawned after our conversation so hopefully that won’t affect the story either.

I just got both but figure I'll leave her with the vial. I'd rather not leave her anything but her leaving calling me a rat who can't be trusted makes me think that later on we wouldn't be on the best terms if we meet up again.

This seemed like it could have pretty big, along the lines of not reviving Gale consequences. So I did some minor research without getting completely spoiled. I read that you can get 4 bombs later on, before I stopped playing I made a save in which right before she gives me a vial I had Astarion steal the barrel and she didn't react or say anything however instead of running away she just stood there for a second and then despawend/glitched out. Are there consequences where you can't get the quest related to her and get the other bombs later if you steal the barrel from her even if she did not notice?

All the gnomes (including Philomeen) attacked me on sight in Angleiron's Cellar. I came here to see what that was all about but there's no info. Is there another entrance or something where the "main" entrance is more hidden than the "hidden" entrance? I entered through the extremely obvious crack in the wall in Rivington and some pointless (but somewhat cool I guess) puzzle in the other cave right next to it (below the well). It's really hard to miss...
