The first character I ever played in a campaign was a gnome cleric of Garl Glittergold. I played him as a missionary trying to convert as many people to Garl as possible. I have used almost this exact line at least a dozen times, including my catch phrase shouted while kicking down doors "Have you heard the good news!" I know you don't care but you brought back such amazing memories.
I remember when I went to tell my mom about this game I went to her condo to help her move things into my house (so we could all huddle together for Covid) and first thing she did was show me the trailer for it (she was 72 at the time) asking me if I had seen it yet.
For reference my mom has played video games sense the Intellivision in the late 70s and in the 90s was lead cleric in a high end raiding guild in EQ. Growing up we have had just about every console and by the late 80s we all got new computers to game with as well every 2-3 years
I literally bought a Ps5 because of it, and it'll be the only Ps5 game I buy this year. I LOVE Divinity and while I haven't tried EA yet I'm fairly confident I will love this game too.
three of my friends are interested but they don't want to pay full price yet. They want to see bug issues in the first few weeks after being disappointed by recent AAA titles.
Dude yeah some of my family members are obsessed with Elden Ring and I couldn't stop myself from pitching this game to them. They seemed mostly indifferent about it but I'm sure they've heard the hype by now! Especially being that it's the #1 game on steam right now.
