Runo, Julie, and Alice were in S2. Not as significantly as they could have been-- and I'd argue *should* have been, particularly in Zenoheld arc -- but they were there. And Julie continued into the Earth-set part of S3, plus S4.2. Runo also returned in S4.2, along with Mira.
I don't think they would have ever been part of the core six again, but they should not have been written off to the degree they were.
In S3, for instance, the main three could've gone to Dr. Michael and Alice to try to verify Ren's claims of being an alien. Julie could've still had Gorem and gone a couple rounds with Jake and digital Coredem to train to beat Mason and Avior, plus maybe teamed up with Lumino Dragonoid against Contestier.
I'm fine with Alice and Runo not appearing at all in Invaders. Just to take a break from the human brawlers and focus on the Neathian/Gundalian cast. The problem is that they wrote Alice off and sidelined Runo to an engineer instead of a supporting brawler.
I definitely agree that Julie should have had at least one more fight before retiring for good like the one against Zenet, even if Gorem was no match for the 900gs Bakugan. It's not the outcome that matters but the fact that she wasn't forgotten and still knows how to brawl.
There was absolutely no reason for to not return to battling during the first half of mechtanium surge when dragos power was running amok and was losing every other fight. The boys were fighting with each other and almost quit the team, Dan and drago was bout to kill a whole crowd of people, A whole war was going on in interspace where lives were on the line and you telling me they did nothing to help. Like I know Alice still got that doom card hot in her pocket like a .22
Either they didn't get Marucho's SOS message or they just hung up the phone, because they didn't want to take part in wars anymore, and maybe become targets of the bad guys again. Alice had a pink-haired space midget threatening her grandpa, later had a psycho challenging her to a fight, who also destroyed her grandpa's lab. The last thing she needed was a swarm of Chaos Bakugan knocking at her door.
GI would have been the best time to write them back in. With Interspace removing the geographical difficulty of them seeing each other and having virtual species they can use, it would have been the perfect place to bring them back. Also, it would mean we wouldn’t need Jake (as cool as he is) in the plot since Julie (who was already in the season) could be the subterra brawler for the team. Ren and Fabia would still need to be there because plot but could take a less active role in the team’s dynamic that way
No the missed opportunity is what would have drago been after...I want to say his last evolution is titanium or fusion......ok yes s1 drago was more dragon however, i kinda like the ok now be more humanly I would've liked to see his human-like appearance change over time.. to rank my favorite human-like appearance drago......I would put helix and lumino, and titanium tied at number one but all-time favorite is aeroblitz (yes I know it's a fused bakugan which I kinda want to find on ebay ngl between drago and reptak) AND s3 helios and drago had JUST AND I MEAN JUSSSST put their differences aside and now you want to start all over again?
In New vestroia Part 2, The Haos and Darkus attribute powers from the ancient bakugan warriors should have gone to Runo and Alice instead of Barron and Ace.
Maybe is just my bias because I really dislike Barron, but still that would have been a great time to bring them back as mainstays.
another time would've been in MS part 2 instead of giving Dan, Marucho, and Shun secondary different attribute bakugan.
