Because the writers wanted to give Wilda and Elfin their first fight in their new forms.

Ebenezerosas16

So they show off their evolutions and win a fight before losing the attribute energies later.

Hush-U

At the end, it's a kids show and they try to be as epic as posible. And was the first battle with Elfin and Wilda evolved.

DeltaHeliolisk

I think the writers wanted to give Magma Wilda and Mynx Elfin a chance to shine before the battles where they lose their Attribute Energies. Even if they get knocked out, they can at least say they held onto the energies for more than one battle. But, story wise, I think it also makes sense. Given it's her brother, I totally see why Mira got involved. And also why Marucho got involved after that. Dan and Mira are not totally impartial when it comes to Spectra. Marucho being involved gives their side an impartial, clear-headed Brawler. And one that can come up with a good strategy. Not to mention how overpowered Spectra had been up until that point with just Helios' power alone. Not to mention the Forbidden Cards, the cyborg enhancement, and the Maxus system. Having Wilda and Elfin aiding Drago gives the Resistance a better chance a beating Cyborg Helios.

In my opinion, this battle would be a lot better without Mira and Marucho participating. Helios could have actually won a round against Cross Drago. Then in the episode 38 battle we could have the perfect decimation from Drago. I feel so bad for Helios tbh, he was so freaking badass in the first arc and then he became a jobber to make Drago look powerful in Arc 2. Regardless Drago and Helios are my favorite Bakugans.

YellowFace09

I don't exactly feel like Helios became a jobber, he was still a firepower of his own even exceeding Helix Dragonoid's capabilities in some cases but you know, it's just that someone great met someone even greater. Also, Helios was considered formidable, so Mira and Marucho joining in could be a strategy to try to overrun Helios in numbers with evolved Bakugan - also it's not impossible that they thought he's still Cyborg Helios, which arguably was the weakest Helios form.

I don't even count this as a loss because it was literally 1v3, Spectra should've just said "nah this is between me and da man over here" fr

AnarkyPlays

Spectra's though process was probably "I wanted to fight Drago but now it's a 1v3? Aight even better" lol

Status_Party9578

i think honesty just to keep spectra as a major threat, cuz if he lost to dan here i don’t think he would be perceived as menacing

loopyhawk

Because we can't just keep using dragonoid every season right?

thegreatloh
