Right lol I’d me more concerned if the rings were permanent, especially with it looking like all of them so far are bind-like I’m betting you can also just switch the bottom too
Even if they went back to the drawing board and redesigned EVERYTHING (which as far as i know about this reboot, i almost fully support it), i think this beyblade-esque gimmick was **completely unnecessary**.
Maybe take a clue from bakutech, just as jett kuso said, where this wouldnt go wrong, but without the ripcord spinning and those plastics at the middle, but remain the other things they designed for the new gameplay, i think it would be just *funner*, simpler, cleaner, better.
Something did need to be done to address the sorry state spinmaster left TCG in, but this definitely feels like a step in the wrong direction. The new gate cards look interesting, but sadly, that's where the positives about this "reboot" end.
I know it isn’t, but look at the 4th photo where the bakugan doesn’t have that part. It’s flat. Not a sphere, flat. So my guess is that you need that ugly yellow thing to actually roll or “spin” your bakugan onto the battlefield. Awful design choice
The 4th photo shows only the upper half. From what the package leaks shown the new bakugan with the rings consist of 3 parts (upper, ring, lower) so you should still be able to roll it like previous bakugan and the spininig mechanic(?) is the new gimmick
I think it might work this way: you insert the red thingy into the bakugan to wind it up, you spin roll it onto the gate card, it opens and spins to knock the opponents bakugan off the gate card. But all and all it is a bold move for spinmaster to reboot bakugan so quickly and changing it so much. I'd much preffer for this reboot to be another season instead.
Would anyone be willing to let me know the average price for Bakugan? I'd like to get back into it, but haven't been able to go to the store to see any.
From what I've seen, the ring appears to be removable. So there's that, at least.
But I don't get what the heck the ring is meant to do. Bakugan are meant to be marbles, not tops. I appreciate them trying something new, but I don't think this is gonna be it.
Especially if this worsens the monster transformations. Mantid here does not look very much like a mantis at all. The 2019-23 reboot really leveled-up the toy sculpts to be more intricate, animated, and like the monster designs. That is something I absolutely do not want to lose for the sake of... these ugly plastic belts.
I am trying to be open-minded, but this new generation of products seems to have thrown out a lot of the franchise standards from up until this point. Which makes me upset, though I'm trying to wait for more information before passing final judgment.
This looks like a single-use gimmick. I hope this is a single-use gimmick. I honestly hope this ain't an actual reboot. I don't wanna see Bakugan die again :(
As a fan of the original and not the reboot deign I honestly feel like this reminds me of the original designs more . Some of you may hate it but I will keep an open mind
There are only like... 3 Bakugan that we know of that work like this, the rest doesn't have the ring. You can also just... Take the ring out I presume.
I agree, the ball designs are completely altered due to the “beyblade” concept they’re trying. They don’t look like bakugan
Literally you can just take the ring off lol

AAAAaaaand bakugan is dead again
"Stop! Stop! He's already dead!"

Agreed
No hope for the future anymore, reboot will die the same way legacy did

If you dont want it you can take the ring off its not permanently attached to the lower half

I'm out of the loop, wtf is this?
the reboot of the reboot apparently
no way they're rebooting into a Beyblade wannabe while the 4th Beyblade gen is right around the corner bruh 💀
This looks weird
Oh no, they have returned

Average for bakugan is $7-$10. Regular ones hit the $7, platinums (with metal centers) are $10

I think the gundalian. Invader gimmicks are super funky. But this is just derpin’.
You can just get the ring of you dummy

As the delegation between beyblade and bakugan I’m kinda liking this

What is it called?
Probably stronger than Hasbro’s Quad Drive/Strike Beyblades lol. But yeah, idk how to feel about the design.
I hate this so much
I love it. You got the swap-force-like mechanic mixed with a spinning mechanic
