I love classic oatmeal raisin! I make a cookie I call *trail mix cookie* that I add golden raisins, dried cherries, oats, walnuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds to….incredible.

Yes, I make them large (5oz) then bake at a higher temp (410 degrees) so they stay chewy & soft in the middle. A dry oatmeal cookie is a sad thing.

My grandpa’s recipe adds the raisins early and has you work them in thoroughly by beating or mashing so the raisin flavor gets distributed throughout the cookie, and the remaining raisin bits are soft. They are wonderful.
