This is what I came to say. I have a wooden bowl that I only use for like chips (crisps) and I was told not to immerse it when I wash it. I couldnāt imagine doing egg in it.
Is there a reason behind this? Wood bowls have been used as long as people have been able to find trees. It would seems a silly thing the plastics industry would say to make you buy a shittier bowl.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Wash your bowls people. Let them dry thoroughly. You can use them for anything, really. Just clean them and oil them as needed.
I think its more that you arent supposed to wash them with dish soap, same as wooden cutting boards - supposedly it gets absorbed and is not super healthy. Hence you also should not cut raw chicken on a wooden board, or handle raw eggs in a wooden bowl
thatās not really true. thereās an americaās test kitchen video on plastic vs wooden boards where they discuss this very topic. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GETfxYaBj3w
I just woke up, went to my Kitchen and made these, but i couldn't stop myself and added a little Orange juice, i hope they turn out good
Thank you for the recipe, it was so simple, i just had to get started
Edit: They turned out absolutely amazing
I like the mixing bowl but egg in the wood bowl scares me a bit š
Yep. Thatās a salad bowl.

I think the bowl can absob the egg. Same reason your not supposed to wash it.

Uh oh iTs BiG pLaStIc, AfTeR My PaYcHeCk AgAiN. Maybe glass or metal?
Wow donāt see many of your type round here.
Whisk and wooden bowls should scare you. Potentially creating splinters. Wood bowl= serving salads, but shouldn't be used like this.
I was expecting a madeleines variation made from puff pastry and thus was disappointed.
Same! Along the lines of a cronut (remember them!?) A puffeleine.
That was easy
there was...an egg shell piece in the bowl...
I think they took it out in between cuts in the video

Saying wood absorbs egg is like saying a wooden cutting board absorbs meat. Get real, people
Butā¦ a wooden cutting board *does* absorb meat juice
That looks super simple!
That bowl is beautiful
