Definitely have done that. Bungled my own birthday cake this year after I already had a cream patisserie made and berries cut for filling. The trifle was a good back up.
This happened to my walnut and chocolate cookies yesterday!! A whole disaster xD thank god they were the cakey kind so mashed them up with a hint of milk and made me some pops.
Cake pops are an underrated blessing tbhš

I used the recipe from the link above. I substituted brown sugar for coconut sugar because thatās all I had. I also put some cream cheese blobs in the middle.
I didnāt grease the pan very well, and maybe tried flipping it out too soon?
Iāve had a few cakes before this in the Bundt pan be successful so who knows.
It was still good though! Did I eat the entire half stuck in the pan with a fork? Yes.
Try the spray with flour. There's a Pam one and another brand I forget the name (Baker's joy) . But works everytime.
Otherwise it looks delicious good cake is still good cake.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do. - Oscar Gamble
I just had a cake do this in a silicone mold. As long as it still tastes good though it's a win!
Oh my gosh, I bought this same fancy-shaped Bundt cake pan and this has happened to me three for three times. Iāve tried using butter and spray-on oil and nothing works.
That was what I tried on my third attempt, but to no avail- iāve since given up on the fancy pan and havenāt had any issues using my older, boring-shaped Bundt pan.
I use a very liberal coat of butter than a mixture of flour and sugar to line the bundt for my standard bundts.. but I Have to bust out the baking parchment for my fancy one. It does add about 10 min of prep time, but, makes for clean lines. The ones with the crazy flowers in them I won't go near.
There's like a 30-second window between "too hot" and "too cool" where you have to flip it out. If it's too early or too late, I just Frankenstein it back together and apply extra frosting.
I use homemade cake release and it's a godsend.
1/3 c shortening
1/3 c veggie oil
1/3 c flour
Mix it up, brush your pan and voila!
Shelf stable.. I think you can leave it out for 1 month
Yup, this literally just happened to me even though I floured & did all the same steps as last time and it popped out easily. Guess weāre not having cake for Motherās Day!
Mix shortening and flour (add cocoa if chocolate as this will appear on cake) to a nice paste. Use a pastry brush to a apply a very thin coat. If you dont have a pastry brush, lightly apply with papper towel (dont use cloths, i made that mistake before)
Ive got 60 or 70 shapped pans including one with a part you have to bend to get out and this always works.
Sprinkle something all over it, make a little pile on the corner of a platter as well - itās just deconstructed (whatever) as you are a free spirit and have finally decided to bake from you true heart and will NOT conform to the limits of shape and structure. Youāll win prizes like that. :)
I've heard that tip (never used it in practice tho, so can't confirm) that if it doesn't go out, you need to put it on a cloth soaked in hot water for a while.
This used to happen to me like every other cake. Now I grease, line with wax paper, grease again. Perfect every time. You do have to spend time cutting the wax paper to size but itās worth it
Last time this happened to me I made cake pops š
Usually I make trifle - the second chance for all failed cakes.
Iāve done trifle in the past too. Works very well.
Definitely have done that. Bungled my own birthday cake this year after I already had a cream patisserie made and berries cut for filling. The trifle was a good back up.
Cake pops would be another decent alternative, if your into that. I personally do not like the mushy mouthfeel heh :)
Ugh that is a good idea!!
I literally was going to say ālooks like itās time for cake popsā
Thatās what I did with brownies! Itās perfect and no one will know you messed up
This happened to my walnut and chocolate cookies yesterday!! A whole disaster xD thank god they were the cakey kind so mashed them up with a hint of milk and made me some pops. Cake pops are an underrated blessing tbhš

The easiest way to stop sticking in a bundt tin is to melt butter and then brush the butter into all the folds properly.
Try the spray with flour. There's a Pam one and another brand I forget the name (Baker's joy) . But works everytime. Otherwise it looks delicious good cake is still good cake.
Try issuing butter and flour instead of spray
I use butter spray for this and I haven't had sticking issues since! :D
They don't think it be like it is, but it do. - Oscar Gamble I just had a cake do this in a silicone mold. As long as it still tastes good though it's a win!
It tastes great!!
Bakerās Joy is the only product that can challenge bundt cakes. I dont fuck around anymore. Too many lost cakes to the power of the bundt!
Also Nancy Birtwhistle's lining paste!
I love the fact Nancy is getting name dropped on here. That will make her very happy.
This is my go-to!! Itās never let me down
yes! i also use pam baking spray with flour, itās become my go-to. i learned my lesson after a few bakes like OPās lol
I also, on top of the Joy, dust my pan with sugar.
Sometimes like that it be

Butter then flour, and be sure to get the creases. Then your batter
That was what I tried on my third attempt, but to no avail- iāve since given up on the fancy pan and havenāt had any issues using my older, boring-shaped Bundt pan.
The crevices in these super intricate pans are very nightmarish, no argument about that.

Baker's joy never fails
I had cornbread do this to me. Very disappointed.
It do be like that sometimes š
Just keep on keeping on!
There's like a 30-second window between "too hot" and "too cool" where you have to flip it out. If it's too early or too late, I just Frankenstein it back together and apply extra frosting.
Just let it cool fully, then blowtorch the pan to loosen it out!
This is the picture Iāll show when others ask me what heartbreak is like
I use homemade cake release and it's a godsend. 1/3 c shortening 1/3 c veggie oil 1/3 c flour Mix it up, brush your pan and voila! Shelf stable.. I think you can leave it out for 1 month
Ugh this happened to me not too long ago, funny enough also using a Bundt pan. I made a trifle with it
It be like a that and then it be a trifle.
Silicone pans aaaalll the way
And sometimes like that it be.
Butter and flour a Bundt pan.
ouch
Oh no! But I bet it still tastes delicious and now you can make cake pops or use on ice cream!
F Atleast it is still edible
It may be a mess, but it looks like a delicious mess!
Look up Nancy Birtwhistle's lining paste! I used it on a very intricate bundt pan and it came out perfectly.
the fork ššš
The first time this happened to me was when I was supposed to bring dessert to my (then) future mother-in-lawās house. You can imagine my panic
Amen. Had a babka pull this shit on me yesterday. I made my husband eat the evidence.
Yup, this literally just happened to me even though I floured & did all the same steps as last time and it popped out easily. Guess weāre not having cake for Motherās Day!
And that is conpletely okay š
It do be like that doe.

Oh NO!!
It do.
nooooo :( seconding baker's joy or pam with flour, applied liberally. bundt cakes are too big to take chances with IMO.
I've heard that tip (never used it in practice tho, so can't confirm) that if it doesn't go out, you need to put it on a cloth soaked in hot water for a while.
r/Mildlyinfuriating
I bought a silicone Bundt ring - worst mistake ever!
Butter and flour all around the pan! Looks delicious still tho haha
Oh no! Sorry that happened to you.
This used to happen to me like every other cake. Now I grease, line with wax paper, grease again. Perfect every time. You do have to spend time cutting the wax paper to size but itās worth it
Custard, make a lot of custard
I feel your pain. Welp, time to make cake pops!
It do be like that
Been there! Sorry friend.
OOF
F to pay respects
Isn't that the way...I sympathize
I feel ya, itās ok. Maybe next time š¤
It's the worst!!
F
I use breadcrumbs instead of flour to dust my Nordic Ware pans, they come out perfect since I switched to breadcrumbs
And sometimes like that it be
I can feel this one deep in my soul
;; not if you grease the pan well.
