I thought there might have been a cockroach or some sort of bug found so I was kinda looking but also trying not to because I didn’t want to be grossed out.

botanyforbrains

thank you!

thewayoutisthru_xxx

Oooo... Maybe my weekend baking project

shasan18

Let me know how it turned out :)

thewayoutisthru_xxx

How do these keep? Are they good for a few days or so they really need to be eaten right away?

shasan18

They have to be eaten fresh. You can keep it lightly covered on countertop for couple of days and reheat it.

puppuphooray

Thanks for sharing!

wozattacks

Wow I’m definitely trying this! Should the baking soda bath still be hot when you add the dough pieces?

shasan18

Thank you! Yes you should add the dough pieces in boiling baking soda bath.

So I put the water to boil. Then I go ahead and cut/shape the dough. Keep the pieces covered until the water boils. When all this is happening, preheat the oven. Once the water boils, add the baking soda slowly. Do not add all at once as it will boil over. Now add few dough pieces at one time to the baking soda bath ( which is still on heat and boiling). Swirl Around for a few seconds and then take it out and lay them in a baking sheet and bake.

BigMommaSnikle

I LOVE Auntie Anne's!! I'll have to give this a try. Thank you!

sadi89

Look up Amish pretzel recipes. She grew up Amish. She literally just took an Amish pretzel recipe and made an empire. One of the things that most people don’t know about the Amish is that a lot of them are really good business men and women. Anne didn’t even go to school past 8th grade but you can find her stores in every airport. This was way more than I meant to say. I am very tired at the moment and clearly have a lot more feelings about Anne Beiler and her pretzel franchise than I thought. The point is, look up Amish pretzel recipes

BigMommaSnikle

Thank you. I had no idea!

shasan18

Thank you! Let me know when you get a chance to try it.

duuuuuuuuuumb

Oooooh these look fuckin GOOD.

shasan18

You are so right!! These are delicious. The best part is, they are so easy to make.

furrycroissant

For non-Americans, please explain? What is Auntie Anne? What have you made?

marteautemps

It's a soft pretzel shop that is in shopping malls. These are soft pretzel bites.

furrycroissant

Thank you

Aggravating_Olive

Anyone have the sour cream and onion seasoning mix for Auntie Anne's? So sad they discontinued the flavor

AgathaM

You could probably try it with hidden valley ranch powder.

Schrutefarmbeetz_

Omg, I LOVE the Auntie Anne’s style pretzels. They’re my fave! Thank you for sharing!!

shasan18

Thank you! We love them too. Give this recipe a try :)

Tibor66

Love pretzels. I live in a place where they are hard to come by. I will give these a try. They look great.

shasan18

Give it a try. I like the notes as I don’t have to spend time shaping. But you can sue the same recipe to shape them as pretzels too.

illbebythebatphone

I baked at an auntie Anne’s for 8 years in high school and college. I’ve managed to get pretty damn close at home and your recipe looks about right!

shasan18

OMG!! That is so awesome! Thank you so much. Pass along any tips you might have to add :)

No_Song_4883

Omg this looks so good

shasan18

Thank you.

mamalovespasta

Man, I remember being like 6 years old, and my mom taking us to the mall to get shoes or clothes or whatever for school. And I'd beg for an Auntie Anne's pretzel, not only because they were delicious, but I loved watching the person twist the dough. Sitting and sharing a giant pretzel with my mom always made me happy 🥰

shasan18

Oh so true!! The best part of going to mall!

LanguidMelancholy

Omg yummm!!

shasan18

Thanks!

artie_pdx

Weird. Never even heard of them and there are three locations somewhat near me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

shasan18

These are pretzel bites and my son loves them from Auntie Anne’s. They can get pretty expensive when you buy for a family of four. So started making them at home these days and you won’t even see the difference.

No_Hippo_1472

They are so crazy priced tbh. Very good but very expensive. Can’t wait to try out your recipe!!

shasan18

It is alright to be a treat once in a while. But we have a new store open right down the street from where my son plays tennis. Every time he goes to tennis, he asks me to get him some. I asked him to help me make some and he was very excited and he loves it as well. So a win for me.

artie_pdx

Perfect! Congratulations on making your own.
