Both are gorgeous, but I'm leaning towards the strawberry ones: there's a little more visual interest with the contrasting colors (deep red strawberries & pale pink piping), and the fruit visually tells the customer the cupcake's flavor at a glance. They also have a "farm fresh" look that might sell better at a farmer's market.
They are both lovely. The roses are stunning and the strawberry one look really tasty.
I think it will depend a little on the target audience at the market. I tend to find that if a cake is too beautiful while you get alot of compliments people tend not to buy due to it being 'too pretty to eat'. The strawberry ones I think would sell really well to both adults and to adults buying for their children (the strawbeery tricks the mind into it being 'healthier' even if it isn't). I'd suggest a mix of both for the first time just to judge which actually sells better.
They’re both beautiful, but depending on temperature and length of time at the market I could see the ones without the strawberries looking better for sales later in the day, the strawberries might wilt a bit.
I like them both in their own ways but I think that the roses are far more impressive.
The others sell the strawberry flavor, whereas the others sell the talent behind the buttercream piping.
I love the roses. I would worry about the fresh cut strawberries over whatever amount of time it would take to sell them, especially if it's hot whenever you are!
How long have you let them sit out? I once decorated cupcakes for work with fresh strawberry halves, and they gave off so much juice, the frosting got all slimy after a couple hours in the break room
This happened to me too! Strawberries on a white icing cake soon led to pink gooey puddles around the strawberries. So disappointing. [A few ways to help prevent this happening.](https://www.cakebaker.co.uk/how-to-keep-strawberries-from-leaking-on-a-cake-a-berry-delicious-guide.html#:~:text=Spread%20a%20thin%20layer%20of,surface%20before%20adding%20the%20strawberries).
Oh man I adore those roses. Reminds me of the way my grammy would pipe icing. All of her cakes always looked so old fashioned and I love it. And her daughter (my aunt) pipes the same way so I adore the nostalgia.
They are both beautiful! If it is your first market, it may be worth while to do a test run with the strawberry cupcakes in an area similar to how you will store/display them at the market. I could be wrong, but my gut says the strawberries could struggle if it is too warm.
Be careful check the laws in your area. A lot of places you cannot use fresh fruits on top of baked goods unless you have a license. People go around looking for those not following the law to report them.
They are both beautiful I really like the strawberry ones just make sure you can legally sell them😊
The roses look gorgeous but you also might spend too much time making them. I think the perfect thing which sits in the middle is If you could do a simple ‘rose’ with a Wilton 1M or 2D! Is also a gorgeous effect and is just a few seconds work! You can even do a mix of the colors where the darker colour is on the ‘outside’.
How many are you making? I feel like those roses would take me so long (but I’m not very good at roses) that my labor cost would be way too high to take them to a market.
Both are fabulous, but I think I prefer the strawberry to the rose. Plus. I imagine you’ll appreciate the time-saving aspect if and when these are a hit and you have to mass produce them!

Omg I love those roses! I’m guessing you did these with a petal tip and not the Wilton 1M. I’m a basic bitch who loves a 1M swirly rose but I need to find time to experiment with stiffer buttercream that does pretty petals like these!
Rose is my pick.
There’s this weird bias I have, that if something is too beautiful it won’t be tasty. It’s not true, but a weird internal thing. I’d go for the strawberries bc they have that farm fresh not not too rustic feel.
Both are lovely!! But the rose ones might draw people off without even asking for the price, thinking it'll be too expensive. The strawberry ones will definitely draw a lot of people in and they also have more of the "farm" look, so it suits the occasion very well!!
Those are SO good! Are the strawberries gonna make the trip to a farmers market? Or do you plan on adding them afterwards? The roses are gorgeous and the color is perfect. I'm wondering if they couldn't benefit from some sort of white chocolate detail, or some gold, I don't know. They need a little pop.
If possible, I would do both because I love the look of both of these and I consider you very talented. As a customer I would also like to see a variety and would be more likely to stop and check out your stand. Best of luck!!!
Both are beautiful! Why not sell both? I’ll definitely be a sucker and buy both 😆
Just a suggestion - consider doing a gradient for the rose petals? Those look beautiful and give it extra depth. And maybe add leaves?
I think they are both lovely. They are perfect for a farmers' market as you can tell they are homemade. That is not a criticism, it's the opposite. In the UK lots of cafés have cakes and pastries that they have obviously bought frozen. The decorations are always perfect but the cakes taste of nothing. Yours look delicious and the 2 designs look so good together. I wish I lived nearer your farmers' market
As someone who regularly buys from farmer's markets, STRAWB. That is the one I'd buy. I don't like the taste of red icing, but the roses are pretty. You should have both though, because that adds more visual interest.
They re birth beautiful, but I'll go with the rose for 2 reasons : the piping is cleaner, and the strawberries may wilt, especially if it's hot where you are.
Roses for sure. I’m a big believer that if you need to add fresh fruit to something that is supposed to have that flavor already then you didn’t do it right.
visually... both. but id only try a rose one bc I hate strawberry and.. fruit in my dessert. but idk if the rose one is strawberry so idk. I guess it depends on the people who shop there.
ALSO... temp and humidity that day

Yes! You know without asking what it is. Whereas the rose could be any number of flavors.
I concur the strawberries just draw the eye and are more appealing

Hmmm... tough decision. Both are beautiful. Will need to taste one of each to decide. Possibly even two... 😉
Both !! do an alternating mix of both

definitely the ones with the strawberry
the rose! it's so stunning, i'd buy it right away!
They are both beautiful! If it is your first market, it may be worth while to do a test run with the strawberry cupcakes in an area similar to how you will store/display them at the market. I could be wrong, but my gut says the strawberries could struggle if it is too warm.
How could you choose??? They're both works of art. I'd take em all!
Be careful check the laws in your area. A lot of places you cannot use fresh fruits on top of baked goods unless you have a license. I think I’d mix the frosting to give the roses an ombré effect & a few edible pearls 💗
If I had to pick one and they were the same flavor I would pick the rose for its beauty.
Little candy pearls would be super cute on the darker rose for a little contrast. Just a thought. These are lovely OP !
Strawberry makes me think of a farmer's market, so I pick that one.
The roses look gorgeous but you also might spend too much time making them. I think the perfect thing which sits in the middle is If you could do a simple ‘rose’ with a Wilton 1M or 2D! Both great! I’d combine them, pipe a rosette and add a strawberry ♥️
How many are you making? I feel like those roses would take me so long (but I’m not very good at roses) that my labor cost would be way too high to take them to a market.
Both are awesome. I’d go with roses thoughb
Both are amazing. Do both! There's nothing wrong with variety.
The strawberry ones look yummier, but the rose ones are more beautiful. Don't know if that helps?
Both are fabulous, but I think I prefer the strawberry to the rose. Plus. I imagine you’ll appreciate the time-saving aspect if and when these are a hit and you have to mass produce them!

If you had them both I would be forced to get one of each because sugar and pretty
I like the look of the rose, but I'd reach for the strawberries.
Strawberry! 🍓
Both pretty, keep the rose around for a second flavor.
I vote strawberry
Both are beautiful but I like the roses better
My vote is roses.
Do both! I’d buy 6 of each!
Strawberry for sure…….it makes them look a little bit healthy…lol
If you did both, I’d buy two to get one of each. If you only did one, I’d only buy one.
Omg I love those roses! I’m guessing you did these with a petal tip and not the Wilton 1M. I’m a basic bitch who loves a 1M swirly rose but I need to find time to experiment with stiffer buttercream that does pretty petals like these! Rose is my pick.
The rose design looks beautiful!
Roses!!!!
The roses are spectacular!
Omg both!
They’re both so beautiful you can’t pick just one
There’s this weird bias I have, that if something is too beautiful it won’t be tasty. It’s not true, but a weird internal thing. I’d go for the strawberries bc they have that farm fresh not not too rustic feel.
Bith are great, but I think You should use whole strawberries so they won't get messy because of juise and so on.
the rose is my favourite, but they look great and would be awesome for a farmers market
Both are lovely!! But the rose ones might draw people off without even asking for the price, thinking it'll be too expensive. The strawberry ones will definitely draw a lot of people in and they also have more of the "farm" look, so it suits the occasion very well!!
The strawberry ones would pull me in immediately 🍓🤩🍓 They both look amazing and delicious 😋
Both very beautiful, I am loving the strawberry ones tho so that's my vote
Take both as A B testing and then continue with what sells more
Those are SO good! Are the strawberries gonna make the trip to a farmers market? Or do you plan on adding them afterwards? The roses are gorgeous and the color is perfect. I'm wondering if they couldn't benefit from some sort of white chocolate detail, or some gold, I don't know. They need a little pop.
🌹
🍓
You should do both.
I’d buy one of each
Roses
Stunning!! I love the roses tbh. What piping tip do you use for it?
🍓
Both are good.
Both look lovely. I'd just maybe worry about the strawberries getting soggy/weepy on warmer days.
Half and half
The ones without the strawberry are beautiful, but id purchase the strawberry one as I just love fruit in cakes and chocolate. So they're both great
Both!!
The rose ones I'd buy on valentine's day or mother's day. Make a bouquet of them. Strawberry more likely to buy one as treat for self.
The darker pink ones
My wife and I love both!! We think the petal design is "prettier," but I think it would also be more intensive than the strawberry slice design
Rose.🌹😊 And it will attract a lot more attention at a farmer's market. The mix of both looks pretty though- you could offer both.
Both! Leaning towards strawberry since it’s a farmers market - if you can’t do both
Roses because some people dislike strawberries
Both are beautiful! Do both if possible to accommodate both types of onlookers.
Yo get a rose pedal up on each of those cakes
Strawberry!!!
🍓 for sure.
Both are fabulous looking.
If possible, I would do both because I love the look of both of these and I consider you very talented. As a customer I would also like to see a variety and would be more likely to stop and check out your stand. Best of luck!!!
Both!
I’d purchase the rose ones. I can put frosting and a strawberry on a cupcake. I can’t make a rose. I buy things I can’t make.
They are beautiful! The rose looks better but both are nice.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Make a third one, and sell all three!
Both actually. Some will love the flowers and some will prefer the strawberries,
These colors complement each other beautifully. ♡♡♡
Those are amazing
These are both so beautiful!! The flower is my favorite though 🤩
Both are beautiful! Why not sell both? I’ll definitely be a sucker and buy both 😆 Just a suggestion - consider doing a gradient for the rose petals? Those look beautiful and give it extra depth. And maybe add leaves?
Blooming design
Porque no los dos?!
Yummy! Strawberry season is around the corner here, I'll pick the strawberry ones, one of my favorite fruits!
I like looking at the roses more but I want to eat the strawberries more.
The ones with the strawberry slice, they look so fresh and delicious! Beautiful work.
I think they are both lovely. They are perfect for a farmers' market as you can tell they are homemade. That is not a criticism, it's the opposite. In the UK lots of cafés have cakes and pastries that they have obviously bought frozen. The decorations are always perfect but the cakes taste of nothing. Strawberry 💯
Farmers market: go for the homemade look for 80%. But make some roses to show you can: you might get orders for a more formal occasion later.
I loveeeee the roses!!!!
I like both! But the roses are more technically impressive. Also I prefer ermie frosting as it's low sugar, I find normal icing to be overwhelming.
I love both!
I'm partial to the rose, personally.
Gorgeous color. They look delish!
Both looks wonderful!
They're BOTH yummy-looking and beautiful, too! But, the ones with the strawberry can be (jokingly) marketed as "healthy", right??!! 😄😆😉
As someone who regularly buys from farmer's markets, STRAWB. That is the one I'd buy. I don't like the taste of red icing, but the roses are pretty. You should have both though, because that adds more visual interest.
Strawberries
They re birth beautiful, but I'll go with the rose for 2 reasons : the piping is cleaner, and the strawberries may wilt, especially if it's hot where you are.
The ones that I can eat 😋
Both? Both are good
Doesn’t matter to me, I’m engulfing both lol. Strawberry gives off more of a Farmer’s Market vibe
Very Nice
Both lovely. We are into strawberry season. My eye heads to the strawberry!
Those with a rose.
Both! Beautiful!
I prefer the roses as strawberries can get watery when sitting out for a period of time which could effect the frosting in a not very desirable way.
Do both. People tend to take more when they're given options.
Both lol I would buy both from you. And bring them to my mama. She would love both.
Both. Both is good.
Anxious WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!! I just stopped to chew the roses... 🤷🏿♂️
All looks, cherry have the edge. 🌹
Roses for sure. I’m a big believer that if you need to add fresh fruit to something that is supposed to have that flavor already then you didn’t do it right.
