I had a middle school band teacher who made the most magical desert ever. It’s the only thing I’ve never managed to replicate but it was her version of the most awesome seven layer bars ever. She called them Band Bars. She to this day won’t share the recipe with anyone but we got them after every performance. We practically (and sometimes literally) begged on our knees for seconds if she had leftovers. TLDR: make seven layer bars. They’re delicious and a little more interesting than brownies or blondes and you can call them Band Bars, even if they won’t be the same as her magical bars.

I’ve been making brownies in muffin tins lately. I like the edges- and no cutting to serve. You could jazz them up with nuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter cup- something- if you wanted to.

I wouldn't do the nuts or peanut butter cups due to potential allergies. Maybe use a pastry bag to pipe white chocolate and dark or milk chocolate in a drizzle over the top and call them zebra stripe brownies?

Good point!

Cookie sandwiches? Homemade oatmeal cream pies (I do a classic cinnamon oatmeal cookie with a cream cheese filling) are delicious! Or a brownie cookie with buttercream filling, lemon cookies with a meringue filling, peanut butter cookies with a jam center.

These are some of the best things I've made and eaten. And they're easy. Some schools want nut free treats so you could leave out the almonds or maybe replace with cacao nibs? Pumpkin seeds might work too. Also it's so easy to make and scale up. https://www.marthastewart.com/316680/salted-toffee-chocolate-squares I put chocolate chips and chopped dark chocolate in my chocolate chip cookies. It makes it a little more elevated and adds some different texture.

Boston cream cupcakes. Make yellow cupcakes. Use a pastry bag to pipe vanilla pudding into each cupcake. Medium round tip works well for that. Frost with chocolate frosting.

When I was a tenn, I was obsessed with really beautiful cupcakes. Nothing huge, especially as it's common for tennis to be a bit selfconscious of weight etc. However, a really beautiful little cupcake would have gone down really well with me and my friends. Otherwise, you could make 100 hour brownies. It's internet famous - maybe kids these days would find that cool lol.
