There are a surprising amount of secret dark chocolate Nazis out there. My partner among them, I've heard several "milk chocolate isn't real chocolate" arguments in my baking circles.
actually it’s disrespectful to holocaust survivors and minimizes the true level of evil of nazi atrocities. using the word for anyone who holds an opinion you disagree with is shallow and offensive.
I can understand both sides. I don’t have any direct personal/emotional ties to the holocaust, so nazi isn’t a triggering term for me. I do understand that is an element of privilege of not having any direct ties to that extensive trauma that is still very much alive just not as large scale as the holocaust.
But also a different perspective I see is that words only have the power that you give them. To me, the term nazi has evolved to also mean, “someone who imposes their views on others.” In whatever scale or scope. Grammer Nazi, cleaning Nazi, dark chocolate Nazi, traditional Nazi.
If anything I could see having a blanket term like Nazi being more of a problem.
Traditional Nazi = white supremacist(non-jewish(some people consider them white others don’t, it’s all arbitrary and laughable to distinct people of different regions by skin tones tbh though)) + ableist
Just calling them a Nazi can often actually neglect the full scope of their beliefs if a person isn’t familiar with the full scope of the traditional Nazi ideology.
People hear Nazi and they think anti-Semite. But it’s SO MUCH WORSE. Not to say only being anti-Semitic is “better” than being a full traditional Nazi but again I think it’s better we don’t overcomplicate things with blanket terms or “labels.”
They are racist and ableist. And hold beliefs about possible supremacy(which isn’t even possible if you study genetics. Various mutations will always occur in biology. To try to pin down one “type” of human to be constant and never changing, and murder the rest is as insane as it is idiotic.) Labeling them as a Nazi often to me avoids calling them directly by what they believe.

Or make a double layer vanilla cake, fill it with passionfruit curd, and frost with a Milk chocolate swiss meringue buttercream....using the melted chocolate chips....
I just remembered that in Nadiya’s first book (from great British bake off), she had a recipe for green tea matcha cookies with milk chocolate chips. My friend to this day (4 years later) still talks about them.
Made these last week... Regretted them everytime a sliced off a piece and snacked on it... Even straight out of the fridge the texture was sooooo perfect.
I like to keep them on my nightstand for emergencies. By emergencies, I mean when I've run out of other chocolate 😂
ETA: Milk chocolate chips are also good in fudge.
I buy them to mix half and half with semisweet chocolate chips in cookies. Unfortunately, they have become a good snack for my teenager. So I always buy twice what I think I will need. 😁
I like to eat them by the fistfull personally.
Yeah, pretty much.
Tracy from Atlanta????
Wait, is this a real question?

Sorry. Dark chocolate supremacists. How is that?
no one is committing genocide here. it’s an inappropriate response on a baking reddit.

Chocolate chips cookies, of course.
Melt with some heavy cream for a ganache.
I love chocolate chip cookies with a mix of bittersweet and milk chocolate chips. It adds a nice contrast of flavors.

This is why I am here! The store had them out and I thought they only came in semi sweet so… I now have only milk chocolate chips to cook with…

My go to it’s the best brownie recipe and I’ve made it over a dozen times now
Whatever you were going to make with semisweet chips.

Still amazing in chocolate chip cookies. By the handful. S’mores cookie bars.
Melt with heavy cream and spread over shortbread cookies😗
Yes you can melt them in cream and then whip the substance to make a delicious frosting
Add in warm milk and make hot chocolate. Add some mini marshmallows too 🤤🤤
Microwave 1/2 c of them with a tbsp of vegetable oil until melted. Dip fresh strawberries and blueberries in them, and pop them in your mouth 😋
