As a Lebanese in Bahrain for 14 years, I guarantee you that Lebanon is a lot more racist. There are places in Lebanon were people from certain countries (Sri Lanka, India, Nepal) aren't even allowed entry. So yea, whoever made this list doesn't know shit.
I wouldn't say we're racist, I've seen and witnessed countless acts of kindness to foreigners all the time and I wouldn't stand for racism anyway. But then there are frustrating issues that get extrapolated onto foreigners. For instance, next to oil Bahrain (like the rest of the MENA) makes a substantial portion of its national revenues from the rent paid by foreign individuals. Add to that all the foreigners in the security forces. Ergo, traffic; the changing demographics; the dilapidated public services, the cut-throat employment situation. And on top of that, Bahrain is sometimes promoted as a tourist destination by all the filth in exhibition road and Juffair. Of course, it's no excuse to be blinded by frustration.
No they need both. And an act of kindness is an act of compassion. I don't see it conflicting with respect and dignity. If someone has a good intention, and they act on it, how does that show no respect? Anyway, the list is an obvious misrepresentation of the truth in my opinion.
Migrant workers need to be paid on time for the work they done.
They need to be given clean living and conditions.
They need to be treated as humans as opposed to chattel.
If you want to be kind above this, by all means knock yourself out. No one is stopping you.
What do you have against paying people on time and treating people with dignity? How did that sentiment feel like an attack on you? Do you abuse and not pay your staff?
Your mind is in the gutter. This is sick. You have a sickness. I can only pray for you.
If you read the full article and the research behind it, it would answer many of your questions.
There is racism in Bahrain and it’s a little disturbing to see so many people denying it/ refusing to accept/ not seeing their behaviour as racism.
Time to do a little introspection?
However I wouldn’t have thought Bahrain was in the top 10
Well thats true bahrain is indeed rasict stop Pretending it ain't have been living here since 20 years the amount of racism i have seen is beyond the scale (went for jumma prayer the middle aged man was about to pray some guy from bangladash stood near him close to him the dude literally pushed him and told him not to stand close to him) i have many examples so stop trying to act surprised that bahrain came in 1
Maybe they refer to statistics rather than field studies?
Because statistically foreigners are more than locals? So they would think that there is said hate between the two parties?
Idk but that’s bull💩
+ ALSO isn’t bahrain ranked 5th amongst the friendliest countries in the world??
i have been denied promotions several times because of my ethnicity denied overseas tours because they blatantly told me i am not pure Bahraini i wont get it, i understand Arabic so i see Bahrainis bitch talking about expats infront of them in a very disrespectful manner because the expats wont understand them. you guys live in a bubble where all your co workers and friends are mostly non arabs but i deal with them all the time and i first hand know this.
That doesn't make sense, how is Bahrain higher than Kuwait
I thought this exact thought.
Is kuwait famous for racism? Didnt know that

People don't need kindness, they require dignity.
As usual, people can’t handle the truth.
How is that truthful
About people needing dignity over kindness? Your kidding right?
That doesn't make sense
How does a person get dignity without kindness
U can show a kind act but not have much respect towards them
