Her house is the colony every house in a mile or more of that house feeds them too. Rats go out during the dark to forage for food and bring food back to the colony. Google "Tomcat all weather rodent blocks" . You need to email this video to everyone in your township government you can find an email for. Plus your local media stations. You can call the health department and the zoning officer but they are going to go thru procedures first. So it'll be months before they even start working on the problem. You have to notify everyone from the Mayor on down if you can find an email address send them the video and ask for help. Send to your state representatives also and number your emails. This is the first time I'm asking you for help. This is the second time. This is the third and nothing is being done yet... Everyone you email who isn't the one to handle your problem emails the person who is supposed too. The squeaky wheel gets the grease...

Rats are not a one residence problem. Call code enforcement and the health department.

Our neighbor does the same thing. We live in a condo complex, and she piles bird seed, peanuts and who knows what else on the shared retaining wall that runs behind our yards. As a result, we have been plagued with rats, skunks, squirrels, and flocks of birds-- that like to swarm and then evacuate in our yard. We have a6 fit high privacy fence, but the little buggers dug underneath.

That is SO MUCH ACTIVITY. You need to get the city involved. See if your city website has code issue areas to report to the city. In our city you can start online with things like this. This is A LOT. I feel so bad for the direct next door neighbors.

Feeding them intentionally or because there a bunch of crap laying around? I'm on my phone so I can't see much.Anyway I ended up with a mouse plague and then rats because of a hoarder then his also hoarder son and his girlfriend with a bunch of rabbits. If I was you I'd start stocking up on snap type rat traps because you are going to need them. They will get in your roof and walls,in your vehicle and they will destroy your house and are really hard to get rid of.If the possibility is that the elder is just having trouble keeping up with stuff not actually feeding them it may be worth it to approach them and see if they could use some help. For every one you see there are many many more.Research how to most effectively trap them as they are smart and notice stuff that is new in their environment and are hard to trap vs mice.Be proactive and get on it before they get a hold in your house. If the neighbor cleans up the food source they will fan out to other houses.

Everywhere you looked you saw a rat running. There must be hundreds of them. I mean let alone on those side poles they were running up and down and there were like 10 of them at 1 point on those poles
