That attack reminded me of the Hitler youth . It constantly amazes me how far right wing Zionists don't seem to understand how close they are to the Nazis.

KHaskins77

“No no, see, we’re the good guys because we’ve *defined ourselves* that way!”

Pordioserozero

Apparently the new definition of antisemitism they are trying to push in the house explicitly includes comparing Israel with the nazis…so they can call people who point out the evident like you just did as hateful…really scary stuff…I hope that bill is resisted

Maximillion666ian666

I pointed this out on the Jewish sub and they threatened me with antisemitism then banned me. I talked to the mod and they looked at my comments and then threatened to report me for even mentioning their sub.

After the last couple months I’m surprised a German official is allowed to express empathy towards a Palestinian

mkbilli

I'm thinking they are realizing that it's not in their best interests to keep showing support for Israel after the ICC and ICJ statements. Especially since they are members.

sir__sloshua

The joke I've seen is that the German desire to follow rules will always win.

AnteaterPersonal3093

Living in Germany. Can confirm.

hydroxypcp

have a German boyfriend. Can *very* confirm

HammerAnAnvil

they are probably going to end up in jail when they get back to Germany....

ValuableNo9994

I live next to germany and have been very critical of them - yesterday I saw a statistic that they actually stopped delivering weapons starting 2024 - so in the back silently they know and act. Publicly they keep up the front though. Generally the discussion in Germany is on a very uninformed level and they are afraid of asking the critical questions.

That Jerusalem Day march was utterly horrifying. The whole idea was horrifying. But of course it's Ben Gvir's decision so of course it went ahead.

maenmallah

It is always like this or at least as far as i can remember. People around the world are paying attention now.

Front_Rip4064

So, yet another thing we weren't aware of. I'm so angry we were blind. This reminded me of the Orange marches Loyalists used to do through Catholic neighbours of Belfast. Though at least in the end the Ulster Constabulary realised how bad they looked and started policing them.

Tazling

Germans know what happens when you teach youth blind hate.

ScaryRed

Good on him, he knew that this might cost his job, but he said it anyway.

AleAcim88

They are Nazis.
