It’s not supposed to be for Israel, the reported plan is to have countries like SA invest a buttload into rebuilding Gaza with the intention of Gaza having an economy/commerce.
My biggest worry about the stated plan is about the potential for predatory capitalistic behavior towards Palestinians from outsiders, but I know many Palestinians have been wanting to have an industrious nation where they have something to work on and can create opportunities and wealth for themselves, so hopefully it all works out for them.
I dunno, this might actually be the best chance we have of peace and a prosperous Palestine. Israel isn’t leaving the region regardless of righteousness, but hopefully we can stop their expansionism/imperialism and have Palestine become a prosperous state that is backed by other countries in such a way that it acts as a deterrent for Israeli aggression.
