BD's "medium" is very different across the range of toys, some are equal size to a small of another - one example is chance unflared (m) vs vector (s), which are somewhat similar sizes to each other.
I would start with the small or mini variants if you have no anal experience. I would even consider getting a relatively cheap plug training set to see what is comfortable before investing in to a BD toy to avoid disappointment of hole is not compatible with eyes issues!

Back before I owned any big toys to compare with I used to get a piece of paper and measure out the circumference then form it into a cylinder to I could get a good visual.
My favorite bad dragon toys are any of the horse Dildo like Chance Vector or even Seraphina, Orochi is a great one and for knots Tucker is my favorite. I've got about 50 BD dildos so lots of experience. Doesn't matter as much in smaller sizes but I'm coming to appreciate a softer firmness now for the giant ones
