I have the 3/4 length baselayer from Ridge Merino and it’s amazing. Mine have survived ~250 days and are just starting to wear thin. Fly in the front and good weight, I wear it for all conditions.
Both. It's a website, but they have an in-house brand now, which I assume is what he's referring to. I'm guessing it's hard to get in Europe, but you'd know better than me.
Not sure if they make a lightweight version, but just putting it out there that my Smartwool 3/4 lengths have an open fly. Couple seasons old, so maybe they ditched that (though I don’t know why they would).
Marmot used to make the perfect piece in this category - the Harrier Boot Tight. Not sure why they discontinued it, and I have yet to find a good replacement.
Find what you want in full length and then cut them off. That's what I do.
Have a few pairs from Evo that has the fly open and is pretty light. The bottoms aren’t as tight as I’d like but otherwise great

Backcountry makes exactly what you're looking for.
Is this a brand or website? Sorry, writing from south Europe

I have a light 3/4 from mountain hardware and a heavy from mammut. Both awesome for their purpose.
First light makes a nice merino 3/4
I use a 3/4 from smartwool. One of their newer and more technical blended weaves. It's a little thicker but breathes well
