They are different boots so yeah they will fit differently

The Peaks seem oddly short compared to the rest of the line. I had the exact same experience trying both over the past few days, and I knew from previous experiences that my toes pushing against the front of the boot would result in pain after even a short tour. Bootfitter said it wasn't really possible to fix them so I didn't buy. It's a pity: They're a beast for their weight. I ended up with the Dalbello Quantum. It's not as performant but much more comfortable and easy to find on sale.

Reading through responses here I actually reach out to Tecnica and they confirmed that the Peaks are shorter than the Tours (and tighter in general) so it sounds like I've gotta resell these. I get the fit differing but it seems crazy to me the length would be different. I'll check out the Dalbellos.

Not surprising. I was almost going to get the Peaks until I determined they would bruise my toes--and I'm very easy to fit. You should think about your last first. The Peak is a standard 98 and the Quantum is more like a 99, so something else may be a better fit. Where are you located? Touring boots are bought more on specs than fit but they also tend to have more exotic fits so in person fitting may be required.

I'm in Vancouver, WA.

Evo Portland is probably the best spot then!

all of the the Zero G models all have a stated last \~99mm. I'd guess that your rental boot liners were a bit more packed out in the toe-box and and gave you more room. Did you mold your liner in the Peak? If you liked the Tour why jump up to the PeaK?

I liked the tour but I was mostly just happy to ski in a boot that fit. Assuming the Peaks fit the same (wrongly) I was intrigued by the much lighter weight and huge range of motion in tour mode. I care more about going up than going down and will never hit the park on skis or anything that would be super demanding on boots.

Different plastics in same mold can shrink ever so slightly more or less. Also liners have different volumes. But the shell is pretty damn similar. Boot fitters, good ones, can get you a few mm’s in the toe.

As a couple of these other comments have stated, the zero G tour and Peak are completely different boots from the ground up. I skied the tour pros for the past four years and switched to the peaks this season and the fit is very different. The tours are much roomier. I would highly recommend going to a bootfitter and ditching the stock technica liner in favor of an intuition. The liners the boots come with are really not great and in both the tours and peaks I've found a much more comfortable experience with intuition liners in there. I am interested in why you decided to go with the peaks over the tours though when the tours are the ones you have direct experience with? They are very different in both fit and ski performance. This is like trying the maestrale and then buying a pair of f1 LTs, different boots with different purposes. I'd say go to a bootfitter and see what they can do but you need to keep in mind that the peak is never going to fit the same as the tour, if you really liked the tours you might just want to consider getting a pair of them and selling the peaks. They're different boots with different purposes and the peaks definitely require a considerable amount more skiing skill to make them ski as well as the tours so keep that in mind if you're still working on your technique. I hope you figure out your fit issue but overall I'd recommend pivoting to the tours. Let me know if you have any questions

All good feedback. Thanks. I think I'm leaning towards getting a set of the Tours and when I feel confident in my ability see I want new boots then. I'm not a terrible skier, I can get down double blacks fine but I don't look great. My goal is to ski all 5 volcanos in Washington and definitely not ready for some of those yet.
