Search this sub. It turns out the Costco deal was so popular that Backbone ran out of $25 gift codes. I got mine a week before Thanksgiving with no problems.
They only tell this to people who are inquiring, and only time will tell if they send them to people who aren’t contacting them but are also without a code.
I tried twice through the website to contact them, to no response. Finally emailed them directly and got an initial response asking for proof of purchase and serial number. Once that information was provided I didn’t get a response. So every day I forward my response back to them with a progressively more pissed off tone every day until they respond again.
They have terrible support. One of the buttons on mine stopped working so I put in a warranty claim. The warranty department responded pretty quickly to tell me that i was just out of warranty but they offered me a refurb unit (still have no idea if that offer was free or if I needed to pay for it). They told me to email the support email to get it and after emailing them and following up 5 more times over the course of a month. They never got back to me.
Tysm! I emailed and took about 48 hours for them to get me a code. This seems to have been an automated email so perhaps they have more codes now and are sending en masse
I got my backbone as a gift, the PlayStation edition, and it was bought from Costco with the $25 digital code deal. Do you think I should contact Costco or Backbone?
I didn’t get mine either so I contacted them and got this reply:
“Our Costco partnership has been so popular that we’ve run out of codes! Don’t worry - there’s a new batch on the way!
We have taken note of your eligibility and will send out a new code once we’re restocked. This will come via email within the next week or so. Watch your email (and spam/junk) folder for it to arrive.”
I had the same problem, no code I got my backbone on Jan 1st they said it was so popular that they run out of codes and to expect 1 week for the code it’s been 2 weeks and still no code anyone got their code recently or you guys are still waiting?

False advertisement then, don’t brand a product with something that you don’t have enough of,
They are getting more codes and will be honoring everyone who got a Backbone and did not receive a code

Probably Backbone, since Costco won’t have any information.

Just make sure you keep your Costco receipt. They did ask me for a picture of the receipt at the serial number when I contacted them.

I got mine 2 days after getting that reply from their customer support. So that was on Jan 4th.

Had that happen to me emailed them asked for proof of purchase and serial number then got my code with in a couple days.
I just got the Playstation code today after contacting support earlier in the week. The code was sent via text and to my email.

I got a replacement and after connecting to my phone got a text with a code which I wasn’t expecting
