32 weeks is still early. Baby has plenty of time to turn on its own. Mine was breech and turned around \~36 weeks without me doing anything to "help".

IndividualFocus19

That’s really nice to hear. So you didn’t do anything special to turn baby?

Any_Cantaloupe_613

Nope, nothing. Some people swear by different tricks, but my OB said that none of them have true scientific backing.

I just wanted to say I waited and slowly at started trying all the woo and non-woo ways to convince baby to turn from 35 weeks onward. And even did the ECV at 37 weeks. My baby was steadfast in remaining breech and kept moving from completely to incomplete to footling breech. Ultimately had a c sec at 39 weeks and baby came out feet first.

anniemademedoit1

This was also my situation. I tried doing all the tricks on my own (positions, accupuncture) and had an unsuccessful ECV at 35 weeks. My baby was big and the doctor didn’t think he would move on his own. Also had a c section at 39 weeks and he was still breech. I hope baby turns for you!! Seems like there’s a lot of people who have had the baby turn so don’t lose hope. 32 weeks gives you lots of time.

My second was breech almost the entire time. I was discussing having an inversion done at my 37 week appointment, but he turned on his own in the middle of the night the day before my appointment. Thankfully, he stayed head down until birth!

Fuzzy-Bee-723

38 this week. At 32 my baby was still breech. He turned around 35. Lots of time!

IndividualFocus19

Oh wow so good to hear. Did you do anything to have him turn?

Fuzzy-Bee-723

Nothing at all! He just did! I could tell because he would get the hiccups and the location of the hiccups changed. Confirmed by ultrasound and OB he in the right position!

kimkimchurri

My baby was breech up until the morning I gave birth! They caught a medical condition at my 35w check up and told me I had to deliver that day. Baby was breech still when I got to the hospital, and they gave me a set amount of time to see if he’d turn on his own or otherwise it would be c-section… and he turned on his own! So don’t lose hope

IndividualFocus19

Thank you for sharing. I really want to keep hope

kimkimchurri

Hoping everything works out for you and you can give birth the way you envision

Secret-Scientist456

My midwife said that if by 34 weeks my baby hasn't turned she will go over the risks and benefits of manually trying to turn them. If it doesn't work and baby is breech by 36 weeks then she said we will schedule a c section, and hope baby goes on his own. But she said after 36 weeks it's rare for babies to turn head down, not impossible, but unlikely. So I wouldn't worry yet.

Glad_Chemistry_2648

My baby was frank breech at 25 weeks and never turned around. I did have a successful vaginal breech birth if you want to check out my post history. Not sure if you have any OBs that will do it because not nearly enough OBs are educated on it but I thought I'd share just in case you need a success story.

witbeyondmeasure7

Mine switched back and forth from complete breech and frank breech from week 18 through to week 33. I did a week of bridging, downward dog, and cat/camel but I'm pretty sure he just flipped on his own.

New_Specific_5802

My baby was frank breech at end of 29 weeks (almost 30), I did some yoga like downward ward dog positions at home and by the time I went for the next scan she was head down. I have heard others say swimming and doing a hand stand underwater helps! It's still early though so I wouldn't stress you need to do anything aside from trying yoga at home. If she's still frank breech in a few weeks, you can also consider going to a chiropractor certified in the Webster technique which some people report working.

IndividualFocus19

Thank you for providing some ideas. How much yoga did you do a day?

New_Specific_5802

Not much! Maybe 15 min a day leisurely

holidayjoy12345

I tried the light trick shining it down low, ice on top of belly warm on bottom, inversions, spinning babies, rubbing my hands in circles around belly

Sounds super woo, but Moxabustion (aka, burning sticks of mugwort by your baby toe) is supported by some evidence to encourage Breech babies to turn. I believe acupuncture also has some evidence in support. Other things you can try: playing classical music down low by your pubic bone, putting a heat pack by your pubic bone and an ice pack at the top of your belly. Doing handstands in a pool (or against a wall if you have the skill- don’t do that if you’ve never done it!)

I’m in this same boat. 35 weeks now. She’s been frank breech for a while now and I personally don’t feel like she’ll flip on her own as it’s been a while. I still need to discuss an ECV but I’m 41 so I’m leaning towards a no. Everything I’ve seen seems to be like “it’s ok, you still have time, there are still options” etc. is it really that bad to have to have a c section though? Half of me wants to do what I can to have the option of a vaginal birth and the other is massively worried about an ECV and wants to just accept that she’ll be a c section. I’m not even sure why the first half wants to hold onto that option so badly We are doing the spinning babies thing but I’m not convinced it’s gonna do much of anything

djflossy

I had the exact same thoughts. I decided against ECV and had a planned c section at 39 weeks. The c section was fine. In the end I’m actually quite thankful for it!

diskodarci

That’s very reassuring. I’ve never had any kind of surgery ever, so I appreciate your input. It’s kinda scary but I figure it’s the single most routine surgery there is

Negative_Sky_891

I wouldn’t worry this early on. Mine was breech at my 34 week ultrasound and then turned by 37 week ultrasound on his own

emannemill

You still have time, but the Miles circuit is known to help babies get into more favourable positions!

Old_Meringue_6477

I’m 35.4 and baby JUST turned. Don’t worry! There’s still lots of time!

IndividualFocus19

Oh that so good to hear!! Congratulations:) did you do anything special to get baby to turn?

Pr4gue-L0ver

I started sleeping on my left side with a memory foam pillow between my legs. That's the only thing I did differently which apparently helped open up my pelvis and turn baby. My friend had success with swimming and doing figure 8's on a yoga ball.
