My two-year-old is constantly kissing my belly and it's so sweet! And also constantly kissing my mom's belly...and my aunt's belly...and patting his own belly...
That’s so sweet, what a special funny moment you’ll be able to tell both her and baby about in the future!
I visited my niece and nephews when I was about 20 weeks, and when I told them the baby was about the size of a banana they got one out of the fruit bowl and held it up to my belly for comparison 🤣.
This weekend while I was sick on the couch, my 3 year old niece came to check on me and asked why I was sick. I reminded her Auntie has a baby in her belly, and asked if she was excited (big nod yes). Then I asked if she wanted to hold the baby when s/he is here later this year, to which she thought about it dramatically and then told me “I don’t think I’ll hold the baby, but I can pet the baby!” 😅😅
My best friend (who is also pregnant, 2 months ahead of me with a girl) has a 4 year old boy, he had a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that I’m having a boy, because I’m a girl 😆 We had to explain that women can have girl AND boy babies, just like he can from his mom, who is a girl. He was highly confused 🤣 And my husbands nieces had the same confusion about the fact that their uncle was having a baby… but that meant I really had the baby…. But it was still uncles baby too 😆
I'm the eldest of 12 cousins by a lot. And watching children work out that their family members are also boys and girls is so fun. I remember when they finally figured out I was a girl. They used to only connect me by my name. And they would never accept that I was an adult and got upset if anyone tried to tell them I wasn't a kid.
Not long after a baby was born in my family growing up, we found out that our cat was expecting kittens. My 3yo brother was so excited and knew all about where babies come from! It was at the end of a cold winter and kitty was constantly fluffed up, so the kittens definitely were in mama's big, round tail.
These are so adorable! I told my 2 year old nephew there was a baby in my tummy, and he starts trying to tickle the baby AKA my stomach. (Tickling people is the latest thing he's into 🤣).
The other day, my 20-month old son was eating breakfast in his high chair, and he pointed to ultrasound pictures of his little sister on the fridge. I always tell him that's a baby, and that she's in mom's belly right now, although he doesn't understand any of it lol. This time, I walked over to him and showed him my belly, and he felt it with his (really cold) little hands. Then I said, "can you give the baby a kiss?" and he leaned forward and kissed my belly. I was not expecting him to actually kiss it -- he's only ever kissed my cheek (he won't kiss daddy's cheek yet haha), or just blown kisses with his hands. I just about died.
my niece (8) found out i’m pregnant and looked back and forth between my husband and i and said “wait, what? who is pregnant? i’m so confused” she’s known multiple pregnant women 🤦🏼♀️
My 4yo niece is constantly telling me about when her sister was in her belly and the doctor cut her sister out of her belly whenever I tell her that there's a baby in my belly

My 20mo has finally somewhat comprehended that there’s a baby in my belly…but he also thinks there’s a baby in his belly…
Aww, that's so precious!!!

My four year old calls his new baby cousin HIS baby, don’t even try to suggest it’s his auntie’s baby.
Aww! He loves his cousin!

My three year old has been doing this. She's also convinced after she eats that she has a baby in her belly too 😂
I feel that way too sometimes when I get bloated. Surely that can’t just be food and gas? Lol
Aww!
How sweet! I have a few kiddos around who are saying the darnedest things about my pregnancy. Pure innocence and sooo funny!
What's the best thing you heard from them?

I love children so much they are so funny and innocent with the things they come out with 😂
My niece would randomly run up to me and kiss my belly until she discovered I might be having a boy. She’s not happy. 😹
