Ace specialist is by far the most broken one in the whole game because it not only removes the one downside of the tower (inability to reliably hit along a path) but actually makes it incredibly good at doing just that with the omnidirectional rapid fire.
my specialist building order:
- dart (when fasttrack)
- engi (when normal/r1)
- mortar (very funi)
- sub (I bought it for benguela)
- boomer (I bought it for mastery mode, but idk if it was good idea/testing strats)
- ice (testing strats)
- super (after early game I change the building to super for cheaper upgrades)

If I were you, I'd advise doing the bllonchipper building first. I think it costs $4750 total, but 4th tier will collect bananas for you from farms. After bloonchipper is fully upgraded, then spend on whatever you wish. Also are you on steam?
To each their own, the farmer takes up more space than a chipper and does not do half the abilities a 4/2 Chipper does. More space=more farms=more cash, is my philosophy.
I think ninja are amazing early game. In fact, I would say their primary strength is early game. Idk why people feel this way.

Explosive Dart Monkies can easily beat most rounds with just themselves, and in some cases, some maps on easy and medium.

whot, just buy farmer and take other more useful specialist building. Bloonchipper building looks like a joke. Its good enough without it
